  2. I just finished my chassis with with four L motors, 4 wheel steering and 4 link suspension! just gotta buy couple more parts and tweak it to be perfect! Its a monster!! even if its not within rules its still great
  3. yes it would be not fair to show a couple people in private, best to keep it to themselves
  4. lot of hype over the cross tires...why? good pattern that looks realistic?
  5. google ' lego 42000 ' on google images, should be there, around 3rd picture
  6. no those look like the wire covers to the custom lights he mentioned, good truck kopmaister i can never do good bodywork
  7. supporter #3! yet again very nice car
  8. that is awesome, do the front wishbones have to be like that or can you give it a bit of flex?
  9. too late for changes, already taken apart and working on crawler will post WIP pics...
  10. UPDATE: finished rally car chassis, its massive, but taking it apart for my upcoming....MEGACRAWLER(mentioned and shown at end of video...special thanks to Alasdair Ryan for adder idea and Sariel for inspiring me to do something with four motors, and if anyone wants to see pics im taking it apart any may take pics of sections of it as I take it apart. Thank you, and good night! edit: video wont show so heres link: My link
  11. I started, but just for fun, some large one with either 2 or 4 L motors..
  12. if you actually got this to 'fly' somehow, wouldnt those flaps gets misaligned or just move by themselves from wind?
  13. wow...so organized, unlike me in my collection thread...
  14. Update on my WIP car, got rear done, more vital parts should come tomorrow, and currently trying to figure out front suspension/steering...
  15. A few posts ago I said many people have so many parts, then I realized-but look at me I also have thousands. Along with crawler I took pictures of my workspace and my collection of technic and other elements: ^my desk (cluttered as always) now the parts: ^lots of orange/black panels, not including ones on crawler... ^suspension/steering ^gears/engines More panels...^ wheels/tires^ ^MORE wheels/tires Drawer full of things im too lazy to take apart when my parents tell me to clean up the mess I call my desk, including my recent mini rallly car, severed in two for those L motors... ^various electronics ^NXT bin (my father wants me to get into programming like him but I like mechanics more...for now...) ^half disassembled 9398 and a autonomous NXT robot under it(didnt say I was bad at programming :D) also partially disassembled ^my regular legos-I rarely touch them since I got into Technic... ^Miscellaneous The whole shebang my room for building/drawing and homework if it fits on the table. So, how does my technic collection compare to yours? and how much do you think its worth? (not that im selling it) Im also wondering if anyone can spot any parts that they've always wanted...
  16. yes, but sometimes if you steer against an obstacle for a while the light bley part pops out, but easy 2 seconds to put back
  17. I read the upcoming crawler contest and decided to post about my newest crawler I built recently. If it will be in contest rules then no copying although there was inspiration for axles and such. Changes made: redesigned/reinforced servo mounts/axle itself; change of placement for XL motor; different battery placement thanks to previous note; and a rockin' body thats strong and looks great. Here's pics: stronger mounts^ ^These parts between xl and servo keep axle from over extending, thus making u-joints pop out.(over extending=going uphill and torque pulls axle slightly forward and down) ^close-up of rear axle. ^nice orange racing stripe, right? provides protection from elements as well, drove it in rain with no problem ^easy to reach battery and you can see xl motor in there, ps was too lazy to put mount for receiver ^again awesome articulation. Hope you like it!
  18. I hope you can use 4 L motors because I just bought two more and another v2 receiver. also do you think using my custom battery will be allowed? because they could just modify the winner to be fitted with original bb's. And I'm not using 12 batteries no matter who tells me, i'll hide 'em if I have to
  19. I havent heard anything like these MOC displays/competitions in Florida
  20. wow, me too, it was my second technic set after the 8048 buggy
  21. Interseting idea, i'd like to join this, hopefully theres no prejudice to age, although I know one of you long time collectors with thousands of parts will win...I'll try my best!
  22. lol, thank you, now I can buy electronics for my project-car with 4 l motors and 4wd
  23. I am trying to get to bricklink and (on google chrome) and it keeps showing error message that it can't find URL anyone else with same problem?
  24. yeah I had similar thing with mine, I think its just the distance the air needs to travel
  25. Sweet! thanks, thats better than mine because of the height and such, I'll definitely build this and use it , either for a large rally car, baja buggy/truck, or a MEGA crawler . so glad I joined this forum
