Absolutely brilliant. I want to pick a favourite, but they're all so well done.

Putting them on Youtube seems to slow down the removal as well, images uploaded by themselves usually last about an hour or two, Youtube things can easily be up for days or longer.

I love this. If it was an official set I'd have to buy it. The colours are perfect!

Does anyone know when these are due in the UK? Everyone else seems to have them!

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
CptPJs replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Just to confuse this whole debate, the Benny figure could be the one they're selling in the sets, or it could be one they made as a reference point for designing CGI Benny.- 2,626 replies

I don't understand how there was such uproar about "Simpsons isn't a kids' show they talk about s-e-x! And alcohol!" but in the same country there's a Family Guy toy being released targeted at "8+". Surely FG is more adult than Simpsons?!

Uni-Kitty's Enchanted Castle Theme fusion

I love this, I'm intending to do something similar when I can get my hands on a few extra Cloud Cuckoo sets. Nice choice on the juice bar, it's the only thing that comes close in terms of colours! -
Don't think anyone has mentioned this, but Maggie has a drill not a gun, from when she attacked Homer with it and Marge decided violent cartoons were to blame. I forget the episode title though.

The 'Build-a-Minifigure' towers in stores
CptPJs replied to Robianco's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I saw bits of the older guy from Back to the Future last time I had a go, bits do sneak in I guess. I didn't look to see if you could complete him. -
Belville lasted for twenty years and that wasn't nearly as popular. Friends has just taken space from Belville, nothing else :P

Looks amazing. Have you got a blind for the window? I have sun-damaged bricks (I can't tell if some are meant to be white or yellow any more), so it's definitely worth investing in something to protect them when you're out the room.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/richard-lego-saved-my-life-646514 This article about Richard Hammond from Top Gear might help push your case, he said he might never have got his brain functioning back after an accident that nearly killed him a few years back, if it hadn't been for Lego.

I'm glad I'm not the only one, I always just kept them the way they were when you buy them, have done since I was a child, and was absolutely baffled when I was building with a friend and he said "why have you got all the hands upside down?" I couldn't believe Lego would lie to me so they've stayed as Lego intended :P

I gave up smoking when I got into Lego. So I could go "stress relief!" and also, it's not as if I was spending any money I wasn't already spending before, but less dangerously. If you have an expensive habit, maybe now is the time for quitting. But I found just being confident and saying, yeah, this IS my Lego, AND? works wonders. More people said "I've got [set whatever] at home!" or "I wish I had Lego, can I see yours?" or even "I might have some I can give you if you like..." than criticised. It can be awkward to "come out" I know, but it'll be okay. To Off The Wall: Friends is one of my favourite types of Lego, should I be ashamed? I'm not going to be :P

I'm really enjoying these! I don't often watch MOC videos but I always do for your Friends theme park. Personally I would have gone for a stricter colour scheme, but I'm the sort of person who likes to line up her clothes by colour in the wardrobe that's probably just me.

http://brickset.com/detail/?Set=5875-1 was one of my favourite sets as a child (alright I still have and love it now), I'd really like to see an updated Friends version of it. And fairly likely, since lots of the Friends sets have a Belville counterpart? Maybe a bigger more detailed version.

I'd love to see the creator houses with the kind of interiors Friends gets. And in terms of creativity, please dear Santa can we have the alternate builds on the back of the boxes like in the nineties please

Also known as "collect them all", a method favoured by people trying to make money from you ;)

If you're UK based, brickfanatics.co.uk is pretty good, I usually check their news every day.

Young boys are a high turnover group. Kids don't play with toys for very long these days, so most of their audience won't remember what came before, and their hand-me-downs are so mixed and lost they might as well get the exact same set. Sucks for AFOLs but why waste money on new designs when the existing ones are so popular?

The position and future of Friends and minidolls in Lego?
CptPJs replied to Dorayaki's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I can only tell you my views as a child, I suppose? My first Lego was hand me down assorted bricks, I loved it. Belville arrived when I was 5 and I needed it. Santa came through that year. Later on I got into Pirates and other "boy" themes, but I longed for Belville to be minifig scale so I could mix them together. As an adult, I do mix minidolls and minifigs, partly because I've longed for them for two decades I suppose. My point being, I don't think most kids think about it too much, if they like it, they like it. Belville never ever made me feel excluded from "boy Lego", toys were just toys. But I may have been very lucky that my parents didn't enforce gender stereotypes and let me play what I wanted.
