  1. Pssst, Risgrynsgrot, there's a thread for "what set should I buy" in general Lego news and discussion, you'll get more help there I reckon.
  2. The boxes that have been seen say "2 in 1!" on them. So it looks it :) I'm looking forward to seeing the alternate builds as well.
  3. I wouldn't say The Simpsons is more adult than Indiana Jones or Star Wars? Even Harry Potter at times. I don't know, I'm from the UK and I'm under the impression a casual sex reference is seen as far more adult than say, a pile of corpses in America, so it could vary. But I'd be interested in other people's perceptions. It's not about how well it sells, it's about how being perceived as a more "adult" brand affects the sale of their other products (like City and Duplo), I'd imagine. A lot of parents will boycott everything if some products are considered inappropriate.
  4. At first glance I didn't realise the branch was also Lego, nice work!
  5. The only princesses in the official Disney Princess lineup are: Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Belle, Ariel, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Rapunzel, Milan, Tiana and Merida. Possibly the Frozen girl will get added. But they're the only characters used under that brand, so don't get your hopes up for anyone else. Even if it would be brilliant.
  6. I must have the ice cream van. Of all the AFOLs I think I might just be the most childish one.
  7. What else, SMC--cigars!
  8. I'm glad it's minidolls, but my opinion may be null and void since I have a serious soft spot for early Belville figures...
  9. Not to be cynical or anything, but like switching to flesh tones half way through Harry Potter, if they improve the minidolls in a year or two... More sales as people buy stuff they already have for the tweaks. I'm buying them anyway though. Maybe I'm being paranoid!
  10. The ones I've seen have been glued together (and not neatly either), I don't know if that makes a difference to you.
  11. A bit off topic maybe, but where is the previous panda guy from? A quick Google search threw up the one above, and a Fabuland panda, which I'm guessing isn't what you meant.
  12. I've never bought multiples of a set before but I'm tempted to buy about ten and build a huge fort for Uni-Kitty to live in. Add in some Friends sets and the slide... just me then? :P
  13. Brick Fanatics reckoned before Christmas, but when I checked a few days ago there still seemed to be a lot of job adverts for the shop online. So somewhere between now and Christmas it looks! If I find out more I'll let you know, I'm pretty excited since it's going to be really close to me.
  14. I'd pay good money for Cinderella's Golden "Throne" and Glass Bidet :P (sorry about the edit my phone is ridiculous)
  15. I disagree. The piece count is the same on nearly all the boxes, they say "product name" (literally) on the side of the box, the photos overlap the front of the packaging, and Prince Eric never had a beard. These are work-in-progresses for the retailer catalogue.
  16. Better yet, nearly finishing the Quinjet, thinking you've made a mistake, breaking most of it back down only to find out you were wrong about having made a mistake in the first place. I nearly threw it at the wall when I realised.
  17. So many great techniques, nice one!
  18. Absolutely love it, hope you do one for each of the girls.
  19. Clever use of the barrels! I never even realised you could stack them... time to go experiment.
  20. Beautiful work, very inspiring.
  21. I got my first Lego at about four, and I had a lot because it was hand-me-down. If there wasn't the bricks to coordinate, I'd build something I could build. I did the stripey houses, red-yellow-blue-black-white, red-yellow-blue-black-whi OH, red, yellow, blue, red yellow blue, red yellow red red red okay this is a tall enough house now. My younger brother drove me absolutely mad because he'd use whatever colour came to hand and I tried to teach him, but he didn't care. And there you go, yes I cared and I'm an AFOL, he didn't and he's not.
  22. Nice review. I bought it and now I'm going to have to cut back on spending for a while... entirely worth it though.
