I'll second John Lewis as a useful shop. They don't always mark them out as such with coloured price labels or anything, but sets can be quietly up to half price so check the shelves! (and know your RRPs!)

Has anyone else got any series 2 yet? My Lego store (Metrocentre/Gateshead UK) had them all out though apparently they were supposed to hold them til next month.

My first theme was Belville, and I still have a bit of a soft spot for it. I always wanted Paradisa but never had any. I loved Pirates and Egypt Adventurers as I got a bit older too.

Hey :) I'm in Newcastle too! I think there's a fair few AFOLs in Newcastle actually because the Metrocentre Lego Store is always full of adults buying for themselves.

I'd love for Doctor Who Lego, but I'm not going to get too excited yet. I have my clone brand eleven Doctors and Tardis (and Friends-companions), and I suspect that's all I'll ever have.

I agree. If you look at the Duplo Disney princesses, they're actually pretty good in the faces, and yet these ones have just got an existing Friends face. Surely painting a new face couldn't be that high in costs compared to say, new moulds? But, having said that, minidolls are still quite new. Look at early minifigs compared to now. Even look at the early Harry Potter minifigs compared to the last ones, or the first Star Wars ones to now. I have high hopes things will improve.

The accessories are the same ones from Heartlake Vet, and I think one or two bits have been in the CMF as well, so I think they should be fine with minifigs.

I was crazy about this when I was a kid, I made layouts that went round the entire living room, the dining room, and part way down the hall as well. Brought back some good memories seeing this.
