The least LEGO-like line?

Then you're not trying hard enough, I built loads of things with it when I was a kid :D -
The scissors are also being used by Friends and Elves next year.

Oh, so that's where those minifigs and the blue roof tiles in my hand me down bricks came from! It's lovely to see a vintage set complete like that, thanks for sharing.

Cobi is what's printed on the bricks that come in the boxes that say Character Building on (I have some Doctor Who sets) so surely they are the same company?

The people who had the Doctor Who licence--Character Building?--seem to have the Scooby Doo licence, so that seems unlikely. Here's hoping for an original Lego idea!

I don't know, I always thought Star Wars and Indiana Jones were more aimed at adults as they're both violent and do have sex references, and obviously those themes started years ago. I don't think one Ideas set will change the ethos of the company.

The reason for this set being chosen is in Kingpixel's link--it's hugely popular and worth a lot of money. Simple as that.

Very cute!

I do it when I remember, but I've never won. I always tell them to put the alternate builds back on the back of the instructions, though.

Illegal clinic?!

It's on one of the sets we only have prelims for--the treehouse I think.

That advert was actually really cute, and I love how they're encouraging girls to build their own things and make their own stories up--people are always complaining licenced themes aren't creative enough.

Aurora was raised by fairies. It is a bit of a jump as they hid their magic from her, but there is a connection there.

Nice. I feel like this wave is an improvement on the last one, maybe? Feels more properly Disney Princess.

Save the images to your computer, then when they get pulled it won't matter?

When I was a kid, my hand-me-down Lego had a few snapped plates in it because my cousin needed different sizes... But I mean, as long as you do a better job than he did, go for it! :P

The reason has something to do with not competing with the sets they put out intentionally for Christmas. The post-Christmas sets are supposed to be for when the kids start getting bored of their presents a few weeks/months later, and start reminding their parents that Easter/birthdays/good grades etc is coming up and that's what they'll want. Most parents only find out about the toys when their kids see them in the shops, so they have to be released significantly prior for them to be known about. So I've heard, anyway.
-
You're buying kids toys anyway, why get embarrassed because it's aimed at girls?
-
The Ariel set reminds me so much of the early Belville sets of my youth that I think I have to have it.

I'll definitely be getting some of these. I love anything with mad colours and tree houses.
