  1. Of course it is empty, I will not reveal my points - that would be totally influencing. Likeness for winning a battle relies on many criteria - and also very subjective conception, which I tried to rip up (maneuverability, robustness, strength and working of the weapon, self righting). The pointing system is also appends on You (for me the fun factor scores double points), as mentioned, these are just my perspectives, feel free to stretch it for your needs. Or just make an intuitive decision.
  2. I quickly prepared a voting chart for easier overview for myself, maybe there are freaks like me (engineers who like structures and categorized details ), who are interested in it, here you are. DISCLAIMER: Please note, I DO NOT want to influence anybody, these are my personal perspectives, feel free to modify, remove/add, whatever (AutoSum must be corrected if somebody adds extra columns). Dear Admins, if You feel this questionable, please remove this comment. Listen to your heart!
  3. Yepp, that is my conclusion too: never mind about the categories. In the evening me and my excel sheet will be busy.
  4. Thanks Jim for the prompt answer. You know, You made the decision even harder now, right? Which hand to bite... My only concern is: the sbrick bots have an advantage here with more possible features, and thus they can vacuum points from PF bots - which would deserve them in own category. Example: first 5 bots are Cat A, and 1 left only for CAT B - although in Cat B there is still some I would like to vote, because they are in TOP 3 in their own category... but no points left to award. Also if I choose to vote for 3-3 bots from each category, than how to make a balance? The first ones in each categories should (but can not) earn high scores - which has significant influence in end result. I can give 10 points for Cat A 1st, but Cat B first will earn only 6 or 4 points... I feel trouble in the force.
  5. That is a valid question, should we consider Cat A and Cat B mixed fights as well? Given the contest description, I thought they will be separately evaulated as different "weight classes".
  6. Speaking about quest, does anone have a possibility to test wit PF train motors? Just wondering, despite the low torque, it has even higher rpm (1900 rpm) than the RC motor (1700 rpm) - probably with the tracks they could also deliver tasty drifting pleasure. 7. Wow, very well executed comparison, with lot of variations. Great video editing, nice background music (not too harsh, just to improve the experience), love it! Hat off for the effort, You spent on.
  8. No offense, but the questions are rather strange , as the answer is above in the self-rightning video. Yes, it can, the flipper is armed by string, which working is also explained in details.
  9. One basic rule: NO vertical video - always orient the camera horizontally. Some notes for making the videos: I recommend to make 3-4 shots for the same recording, check it, and it gives already a feedback what to improve, change etc. Also keep more versions as raw material for editing, and make the video a bit longer than needed to be able to cut it properly. Camera stand is a must - especially if You do the video and modell controlling as well in one person. I am still learning how to do it, these are things what I screwed up already. Till now I used Windows Movie Maker - very basic, but super easy to use.
  10. No need for removing the "s" from http address in the new forum interface. Just copy the link of the Youtube video from the browser bar, and paste it here. It will be automatically embedded. Example: copy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBaFEO-aTbI paste it here, the result is: Yes, the site FAQ should be updated.
  11. Wasn't the case, that You are in dark age currently? Than...DANG, pops this massively PF flawoured pencake into our plate. How many motors, in what size??! Just kidding, great to see You being active! Bon appetite! Edit: I am not totally sold on the driving system (too bumpy, and relative slow), but it's uniquness deserves the attention.
  12. Welcome here, great and effective idea! Also cool adds on the use of the sequencer functions. You have a link to general discussion topic in the entry - it is not needed, just the one which redirects here.
  13. Very creepy look , and the spear is powerful. I am only missing the measurement picture with reference 45 L tool, don't forget to add!
  14. Looks good, hurry up to finish it!
  15. I DO love this, very strong, very compact, and very clever. Thanks for sharing the LXF file in advance, I wanted to obligate You to do it.
  16. Dark Ages... I found this definition always a bit disturbing, as during non-LEGO time I still enjoyed life (hiking, riding bike, etc.) - with the usual some bad periods of struggling with teeneger years, school, people. LEGO is a part of me, but not all of me - still, if this is the common verbal thing to refer, than let it be. As others mentioned, it is just rearragement of interest, which is not a bad thing. I have periods when I get more excited in LEGO, or just sudden impacts (like buying some of the Batman movie minifigs or the TC11), but overall I admit: I am infected. I don't think we should pay lot attention on preceding signs, like in case of alcoholism, workaholism, depression, burning out, and so on. I always feel honored when Legoing happens to me (even if only by finding a great build, and staring at), but don't mind if it isn't.
  17. Serious performance for this little guy, like the cartoonish styling a lot!
  18. This is the most vibrant appearing bot in the contest yet, looks damn awesome, love the colors and the play with the forms here.
  19. Very cool one, I like the ideology behind, and despite the simplicity there is still a technical tweak in it. Don't forget to add [TC11] to the title of the topic.
  20. I made a quick test video, I see it is almost mandatory. Sorry for the quality, one hand to hold the mobile, one hand to control, and one hand to keep the area safe.
  21. You used the potential of the Sbrick very well (I especially love the sensor and the sequencer), combined with well tought design... top category player for sure.
  22. Despite the relative slow loading, I am deeply impressed. Another serious entry.
  23. Agree, this is what I forgot to mention: is it possible to create a real poll for this topic, where everyone could "vote": 0 1 2-4 more maniac collectors Than it would show some kind of statistics for the topic. If @Aventador2004 can't do this, maybe staff can help, just needed to be asked.
  24. I am not 100% sure, but I remember it was mentioned before, that Grohl (Milan Reindl) confirmed an upgrade on most recent IR receivers - so basically they are better than the old V1-s, without the problems of the V2. I can not find now that discussion... and wouldn't bet on it. Maybe Philo could test a brand new one, than it would be official.
