  1. Me Too! I’m doing my best to prepare myself for the cuteness, but I think my powers are useless to resist it, lol. The foal comparison is a good one. Perhaps a little shorter in the neck? Im sure they’ll be great, and I can’t wait to add to my farm.
  2. Fine by me. It was your discussion though.
  3. My point is that your statement is just way too far reaching. What about a wedding dress? A gymnast or other sports? The fact is, in the western world, women’s fashion tends to be more tailored to highlight the female form. TLG is constantly designing according to archetypes, and going backwards in this aesthetic would be a detriment to the product. You may have some personal reason for wanting to androgynize these archetypes, and that’s fine, but literally and figuratively, one size does not fit all.
  4. It would have to be better, right? That Charger was severely under-served by the 6-stud width. As with most of the earlier cars, I widened it by 2 studs, and it's significantly improved. Either way, it's two black Chargers, so it's going to look similar, but there's a chance at a good re-do with the increased width. There's a lot less room for improvement on that one. I thought the Challenger was pretty great.
  5. I couldn’t disagree with this more. I suppose it’s a philosophical difference, and possibly a discussion for another thread, but I think there are plenty of uses for gendered torsos, even in unlicensed themes. Case in point: Castle and other historical figs. Princesses/queens and common folk use “hips” to great effect, and are better for it. How would a corset be represented in a non-gendered way?
  6. Maaaan, that’s the thing about rumors. So hard to keep track of those details.
  7. I’m sure that that’s what the sources are saying. Based on some of the evidence, no, I’m not sure about the price.
  8. The odd part of our intel is that the price and piece count seem low, and appropriate to each other, but the description makes it sound like a pretty large build, which would help explain the number of figs and animals. “60346 Farm with Animals The main build is a farm with includes a small greenhouse with a larger barn next to it with a red roof. A tractor is also included which can easily park inside the barn along with the animals. These animals include a cow with black and white spots, a new calf, a pink pig, a new piglet, a sheep and a new lamb. A family of three Minifigures are also included with two parents and a child. Set Name - Farm with Animals Set Number - 60346 Ages - 4+ Piece Count - 230 Price - $19.99 Release Date - 1st June 2022” https://www.bricksup.co.uk/post/lego-city-farm-summer-2022-rumoured-set-names-set-numbers-prices-and-pieces-60344-60345-60346
  9. Can you please elaborate? I’m not sure I understand what you mean.
  10. Woof. That’s more than I would hope, but it wouldn’t surprise me.
  11. You may be right, but that’s what the rumors have been saying for a while. Fingers crossed.
  12. 6 animals, half of them new, plus 3 minifigs and another 200+ bricks for $20. Pretty hard to beat that deal.
  13. Finally! I guess that confirms the rumor on the color. Should mean black & white cow/calf too.
  14. If you don’t count ghosts (I wouldn’t) as fantasy elements, the first appearance of Majisto and the old molded dragon was in Dragon Knights, 1993.
  15. I hope for the same, but the last several years have whipped me into expecting only occasional, niche offerings. (Ideas, creator, anniversary) Surely better than nothing, but a full theme would be the dream. Things seem to point away from that eventuality.
  16. Great interview, Roberto! I don't think you give yourself enough credit though. I myself do have a degree in design, and have worked with many, many others that do too. Your work shows a grasp on both the conceptual and practical application of design that many pros I know would struggle to match. You may not have the personal goal of working for TLG, but I selfishly would love to see that happen, just because I know it would lead to a basically limitless pool of fantastic minifigs. Enjoy the break from this passion project, but I hope your passions lead to something else that lets you express this level of quality entertainment for folks like me. :)
  17. I feel you. I have an album on my phone of my favorites from this project, and I’ve looked at them enough that I sometimes forget that some of them don’t exist, and I’m mad about it. Looking at you, Series C Dragon Trainer.
  18. I'll hold final judgement until I see better pics, but there's something about it that isn't sitting right with me. The colors are good, and the build is pretty nice as far as a brick built ship, but I wish the shields were actual shields, and the old horned helmet is a let down. Perhaps offset by the new winged hair piece. The rest of the minifig details will be important.
  19. That’s exciting! I wish these could go on forever. It’s been very fun to follow over the years.
  20. I think that’s all true, but in the context of a set coming out this year, and in the context of the year also having a farm series that is not only reportedly goat-less, but also includes 3 new baby animal molds, I think it’s more than reasonable that we should expect no goats in the near future.
  21. I don’t think anyone is saying that they are. One is the king torso from Kingdoms (2012ish) and the other is the CMF torso and legs from the Frightening Knight.
  22. Found that here. References a German site, but finding the original source is tough since I don’t speak German. https://youtu.be/v_6ARfHXrF4
  23. The cow is confirmed to be in the new City farm sets, and if memory serves, a new calf as well. At this point, the goat has become a meme. The common conception is that the old mold was damaged beyond repair, so if they are coming back, it'll be with a new mold. Having appeared in a few sets, including an upcoming City farm set, if we are to receive any livestock outside of horses, I expect to see sheep. Edit for clarity: One farm set (60346) is supposed to come with a black/white cow with calf, pink pig with piglet and a sheep with a lamb.
  24. Agreed on minifigs for sure. New/updated lion knights and civilian figs are vitally important. I feel less urgent on the livestock. With the new City farm sets heading our way this summer, we should have plenty of opportunities to load up on more animals.
