LEGO Dungeons & Dragons - one step closer?
SirBlake replied to AmperZand's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
And 3D printing and other third party vendors are taking a big bite out of the miniatures market. Considering how different Lego minifigs are in format that traditional miniatures and D&D could be exposed to a broader audience through TLG, it sounds like smart business to me. Well, sure, I bet most of us would prefer an in-house analog, but that doesn’t seem to be happening, so I would say there is a need for it. -

I never read any Niles FR books, but he was instrumental in Dragonlance. R.A. Salvatore was a pretty reliable author though. -
LEGO Dungeons & Dragons - one step closer?

Absolutely. I was always partial to Forgotten Realms. The Icewind Dale trilogy and introduction of Drizzt Do'Urden is some high quality reading. -
10304 Chevrolet Camaro Z 28 Discussion Thread
SirBlake replied to Vilhelm22's topic in Special LEGO Themes
That would seem likely. 69 is definitely the most popular year, and orange would be a good fit. An Indy Pace Car color scheme (white with orange rally stripes and orange interior) would make a lot of sense. Regardless of color, I may have to pull the trigger on a first gen Camaro to go with the 67 Mustang fastback. -
LEGO Dungeons & Dragons - one step closer?

Interesting theoretical. Timing wise, it would be a good fit. The D&D movie is coming soon, and it’s supposed to be a pretty light hearted adventure film. Not specifically for kids, but likely more kid friendly than the sometimes-grim LotR. And yes, I would be all over Lego D&D. It’s a very rich area to mine as far as lore and settings. Endless possibilities as far as sets, scenarios and characters that extend far beyond a movie franchise. -

This exactly. Minifigs aren’t necessarily the most important aspect of Lego, but they are the greatest limiting factor. Bricks is bricks, but the minifigs prints are vital.- 2,976 replies

LEGO Creator 2022 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
SirBlake replied to TeriXeri's topic in Special LEGO Themes
$120 for the Viking Ship? I think that’s just the thing I needed to skip this one. I wanted to love it, but I don’t $120 love it. -
This guy sure jumps to some big conclusions based on one BaM torso.

I don’t really know what this concept is about, but my guess on Mythica is contemporary kids interacting with mythological animal combos in a Pokémon style? Oh yeah, and throw an Avatar style elemental magic thing. Am I close? -

Yeah I get that. I’m just learning to embrace it I suppose, lol. I hope it’s available online too. That’d be a lot more convenient than driving all the way to Dallas. :)- 2,976 replies

Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
SirBlake replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Yessir, this will be an example of one of those sets that’s a better investment than gold or the stock market, if you’re into prospecting and storing sets as an investment. I typically have not done that, but it’s tempting with this one. -

I hear you, but I have come to embrace the variety in color that is often introduced to this sort of thing. One example of this would be the CMF rogue, that’s mostly green with a dash of red and includes the Wolfpack emblem. I guess what I’m saying is that the monochromatic approach to factions isn’t written in stone, and the variety can be nice to look at.- 2,976 replies

Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion

This is perfect! The 4+ nature of the barn is perfect for those of us that are more interested in the animals than the build. The sheep shearing play feature is genius and 2 piglets! -

The new city farm sets have been revealed and holy cow! cow in a new color + calf pig with 2 piglets sheep with lamb and a new feature, it’s like wool barding, so the sheep can be sheared. So cool! -

Just saw a pic on Instagram that had the new BaM figs, including the blue wizard, this new Black Falcon and two pirates. I think we can call this BF torso official. It serves as a great archer for the existing blacksmith/Creator BFs. I hope I can get several, but it’s a pretty long trip to the nearest Lego Store. -

As much as I want this to be real, the more time I spend with the pics, the bigger the question mark hovering over my head. I’m no expert on customs, but something does seem a little off. -

Yeah, weird source for that, but given that BaM has multiple sources for parts, who knows. -

I agree. The hat isn't the highlight, but the printing on the torso and skirt piece (front & back!) looks so good. Kind of a shame that it's buried in the BAMF line. It'd be easier to acquire as a CMF. -

Ah, glad you posted it here too. I need that wizard. Super cool prints. -
Whoah! That wizard looks great. What is the accessory? An owl?

So is that 3 new unique torsos? Not bad at all. Definitely leveled up this particular offering. Still wish we got the CMF helmet instead of the old horned one, but that's a pretty minor gripe.
