  1. Here's mine. It's called "Coveted Ray Gun". = > Even an alien queen likes to do a bit of window shopping! There are a couple more shots on flickr.
  2. Most of these are now up on the LEGO shop at home site, so hopefully not long before we see them more widely in local stores. Didn't see any TMNT or the high speed chase one online.
  3. This is a really cute building, just like the Winter Village series. You've done a great job on the interior also. I like how you have done the cutaway at the back. You don't realise from the front how open and accessible the interior is. Very clever!
  4. Really nice! I love all the detail on the bell tower and how you have done the interior. However, I have to agree with the others about the red trim - it seems out of place. Dark green might be a better option?
  5. Sorry, no suggestions. I think this is stunning just as it is!
  6. Congratulations, toutouille! This was a great entry and one of my favourites. Nice tag too - I'm very jealous.
  7. This looks awesome. I love the patterned floor and the continuation of the theme in the wall. The use of the items other than books in the shelves also works really well too. Good luck in the contest!
  8. Welcome to Eurobricks! The Cafe Corner has an angled wall for the entrance. You can download the instructions from LEGO.com or Brickset, which might give you some ideas for your building. Good luck and don't forget to post a picture of the finished building!
  9. This is fantastic! But I'm getting dizzy just thinking about the speed at which it's turning.
  10. Went to Indooroopilly today, but no new City sets or CMF series 9 to be found anywhere. I tried Myer, Kmart, Target and Mr Toys Toyworld. Actually, pretty low on LEGO stocks everywhere. Anyone tried the Brisbane CBD stores yet?
  11. Thanks for the great review! It makes me want this set even more. I thought there were 1x2 bricks with grooves in dark bluish grey when I saw the first pictures of this set. However, I don't see any in your review pictures. Is is just the 2x2 with grooves and the 1x2x5 with grooves?
  12. Thanks for sharing, SwissBrick. The cinema actually doesn't look too bad next to the other modulars. It's definitely growing on me.
  13. I like the general style of this building and it has some really nice details on the facade, like the trims at the roof line. Well done. I also like your interior so far. The gas stove is clever! Do you plan to furnish the remainder?
  14. I use them mainly for supports that are hidden, such as for holding up the floor in a modular building where the ground floor is a couple of bricks off the baseplate. I also found them useful as supports for tiered CMF displays. When I first started building MOC modulars, I thought I needed lots of long bricks. While these are useful for doing the sides of the buildings, it turns out that 1x2 (modified or plain) are the most useful for getting detail into a facade!
  15. Stunning from every angle. I love the colour combinations on the buildings and the details on the tower. Well done. One question though. How does the archer get up and down from his ledge on the side of the tower?
  16. I love this! I can imagine hours of fun playing with this castle. It looks nicely detailed, but at the same time solid enough that it would stand up to some serious play as well. Well done. I almost wish I was a kid again.
  17. Yeah! Now the toss up between wanting the new sets as soon as possible and being at the shops during the post-Christmas sales. I was so close to doing a BrickLink order for the S9 CMF, but told myself to be a bit more patient. I did however, order some of the 2013 Friends sets. Do you recall if the new Friends sets were on the shelves?
  18. Just wanted to say thanks for sharing. I enjoyed following this over the last few weeks, but almost missed 25 Dec, as I had assumed the 24th would have ben the last one. Looks like you and the boys had a lot of fun. I hope all those visitors didn't stay for Christmas dinner!
  19. Thanks for the review, mifody. This set looks like it's got great playability. Another one for the "must-have" list.
  20. Thanks for the review, mifody. I want that dark red car even more now!
  21. This is a really cute little building. The extras are well done too, particularly the delivery truck. Just one minor thing ... I think you need to drop the height of the chimney by a few bricks. Good luck in the contest! PS. Great photographs too. DId you get yourself a lightbox?
  22. Nice! The covered waiting area on the left hand side looks great and I love how you have done the ticketing counter. Good luck in the contest.
  23. Thanks, GRogall, for the image. I like it overall and will be getting one for sure, but I'm not drooling over it. I like the colour combination and the roof design is very interesting. Looking forward to seeing more images.
  24. The candy shop looks great in minifgure scale, and even more amazing in life-size scale. I really like the colour combination you have used. You must be very proud! Well done. Merry Christmas!
  25. I don't have much more to add, as the responses to so far echo my thoughts on this matter. However, I did just want to point out that it's the work of the moderators, regulators and the admins ( ) that make Eurobricks the best forum in the world (for me, at least).
