Personally I'd get a kick of seeing little kids play with Fabuland Legos especially, which were created 3 decades before them A few years ago my nephew had fun helping me build my classic space mobile rocket launcher, but that's pretty much it for me ( I have no kids of my own).

I mostly posted there so people would help me find the Lego reviews. Since they redesigned the site I simply cannot find them anymore. Searching for LEGO anywhere on the site returns too many results with Legolas.

(This seems like the most appropriate topic) Do you people post on http://theonering.net forums? I just subscribed there (same username) and posted a message on the Gaming & Collectible forum.

Do you guys buy multiple of the same sets for play?
SheepEater replied to Chri5kng's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I own close to 270 sets (mostly technic, town, LOTR/Hobbit) and these are the only two sets I have bought twice... -

drugstore is a synonym for pharmacy.

I only just started, the bricks have been in the jar only for less than 3 hours as I'm writing this, so obviously it's too early for me to judge the results. I used 3 teaspoons of Oxyclean, and 900ml (two 450 ml bottles) of 3% hydrogen peroxide. NO Water.

Update! 1) Reinforced the left most hinge brick so it won't come out no matter what. You can see that the long inverted slope was moved forward by 1 stud to achieve that. I had to add some filler bricks inside. 2) Changed the connections to 2 pins & holes instead of one. So the sections won't rotate when you lift it up. 79010mod_18 by SheepEater, on Flickr 79010mod_19 by SheepEater, on Flickr 79010mod_20 by SheepEater, on Flickr Here, I added a total of four 1x1 black bricks to fill up the space. One of which is on top of the moved 1x2x3 inverted slope. 79010mod_21 by SheepEater, on Flickr

Above all else, I like LEGO humor on boxes.

Maybe because the "brew" goes up to the surface?

You can find basic 3% hydrogen peroxide in most drugstores. Their intended use is for desinfecting wounds. Anyway after reading this entire topic in Easter weekend I decided to give it a go this morning. I bought a very nice, large glass jar, a jar of oxyclean (powder) and 3% peroxide. They also had 9% peroxide but it was of the opaque variety. I needed a large glass jar because I have quite a few large wheels to whiten, including two very yellowed 8880 wheels. I emptied two full 450ml bottles of peroxide along with about 3 teaspoons of Oxyclean. I placed the glass jar on my balcony in the best possible spot ( I live in an appartment). Wish me luck! Do you think opaque 9% peroxyde would block the sun from the bricks too much?

I have done that almost 6 years ago using only parts from the 90s and original 9v motor. -

Just do 1 of the models for 8244 then - and don't even render it. I doubt anybody will hold it against you. -

In the meantime let's give Blakbird some inspiration and everybody else a little teaser... Maybe the update is not coming because of THAT crummy set and Blakbird having to build all 9 of these tiny boring builds? I own that one, it's actually pretty underrated. A sequel of sorts to the arctic action theme of the 80s. Love that one - still occupies the 2nd spot for best Technic planes they did to date. (8855 is 1st) THAt one disappointed me. besides the speedboat (featured above), none of the models have any cool functions. Still my favorite TOWN/CITY set of all time. Hey, it's minifig scale and is based on modern life. So it fits the City theme! -
Meh @ those sets. I wish Meccano/Erector would at least TRY to compete with Lego technic and offer large sets with tons of mechanisms and intricacy. You know, like they used to do in the 60s/70s.

I asked some Zellers employees (before they closed down): "Sorry about you guys losing your jobs. So I hear most of your stores will be replaced by Target. What do you think about that?" "They are not hiring ANYBODY. I mean nobody." EDIT: Cripes! Those women were not bullshitting me. Look at this http://www.windsorstar.com/business/Target+hiring+Zellers+workers+says+union/8129935/story.html

No! Never stolen Lego and never will. Good luck trying to find somebody admittting to stealing Lego on this forum - that would mean automatic blacklist from ANY local lego user group. And rightly so - who would want a Lego thief in their midst? And I wouldn't buy or sell anything online from/to an alleged thief, either.

Interesting. Care to post your own pics?

Lego better not use this mold for Smaug for the 2nd/3rd wave of Hobbit sets or I'll be very disappointed. Meh. Looks like all the other generic castles they have done since the 80s. I'll wait for a second LotR themed castle/fortress (hopefully Minas Tirith)

Have you ever worked in a toy store? Please share your stories and anecdotes, if that's the case! ESPECIALLY if they involve our favorite toy.
