Nice, good job! Did you make an inventory of the parts you had to substitute, kinda like what I did when I built 8458's Silver Truck B model with the parts from 8461?

Having the set for 10 years now, I concur with Blakbird, it's a terrible set.

Agreed with those who said 8421 and 8265 - VERY disappointing considering the quality of the main models. Set 8285 has in my opinion one of the best B-model in existence. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=318835 From your list, I'd go with 8043 because it's quick, and fun as heck to play with.

They could have included Grima Wormtongue to even it out a bit... He's a much more important character than Mouth of Sauron, who gets decapitated 3 minutes after he's introduced.

It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't call it "Jurassic Park 4" but something more trendy, like "Jurassic". Or "Jurassic Park 2014". Anything but Jurassic Park 4. Although big sequels are getting produced constantly, It's not trendy to have numbering in them anymore. How many recent sequels can you name that had a number in them? Not too many. it would be nice if they got the original cast back, but they aren't getting any younger.

1) I give the extra red cape from Helm's Deep to Boromir. This is actually its color in the videogame 2) I give Boromir's brown cape to Weathertop Aragorn 3) I called Lego's customer service to get the REAL dark blue cape for 2nd age Elrond (normal, long one). I used the inventory from a Legend of Chima set to get the part number. 4) I then gave his dark blue short cape to Thorin.

I'm looking to buy a second Legolas to put in my Helm's Deep. The Mirkwood Legolas is twice as cheap as Mines of Moria Legolas on Bricklink. I think i'll get a 2nd Mirkwood Legolas as he actually looks closer to the outfit he wore at Helm's Deep than the green/gray he wears in the Moria incarnation. What do you think?
