  1. Now that I have something that I think will work, it's time for me to update you all with the progress of my TC9 entry. The A model is mostly done (see pictures below), and the B model is in an early WIP stage (Pictures soon). A Model HxWxL, 17x17x34=9826 Steering, HOG 2 Cylinder Fake Motor Rear Wheel Drive, Portal Axle Snowblower Rotation Snowblower Lift Salt Discharge/Moving Door Salt Spreader Removable Blower, Cab, and Spreader B Model HxWxL, 14x19x37=9842 Steering, HOG 2 Cylinder Fake Motor Rear Wheel Drive, Portal Axle PTO, Front/Rear Plow Lift Seeder Lift Seeder Spreader Almost final, as I am waiting on another BL order. Your critiques are welcome.
  2. This is excellent. I am impressed with the cab, and the wheel fenders are great. The brick build frame looks stunning. I concur with ZBLJ, the small pumps for the suspension is a great idea.
  3. There were many great MOCs during 2015. To celebrate some of Thirdwigg's favorite MOCs of the year, I present The Top 15 of 2015. Find out who won the 2015 Thirdwiggy award (someday I'll make a trophy). Enjoy, and feel free to let me know about your vehement objections to the list. Sorry for not including some great ones.
  4. I love the all the colors. The subtle use of orange and white look great, and the red on the interior matches well. The simplicity of the driveline is refreshing to see.
  5. This turned out great. Well done. I'm looking forward to the B model.
  6. I agree with others, the Combine looks great.
  7. Yeah, that fork part would be great. Otherwise, I would go with the beam rather than the axle.
  8. What about a truck, boat, and trailer? It might match the three "part groups" you already have.
  9. A helicopter would be great, but the dimensions might be a challenge. I love the SUV.
  10. Great Job. This MOC is starting to look very well polished.
  11. What is the largest diameter you can have for your dimensions ? 7 studs? You could do something with tiles (below), but use 1x3 tiles for the blades.
  12. Great news. I am happy we get things the same time as the rest of the world this time.
  13. Can you fit 30332, and still fit within your dimensions? I think what you have is a little too small.
  14. Yeah, the PF L motors work great for this MOC.
  15. I don't have a good picture of the suspension yet. I used 2x4 L liftarms to mount the road wheels. The axle end of the liftarm actuated a horizontally mounted 6.5 shock absober on the inside of the hull. You can kindof see the way it works below.
  16. There have been a couple of projects this year that have been a long time in the making. I have been happy to clean out The Queue over the past couple of months. This is a MOC of the most widely produced tank of all time. The T-54/T-55 series of tanks has its roots connecting back to the T-34 of WWII. This MOC represents the T-55a version, produced from about 1979 onwards. Basically, it means I got to build the AA gun on the top. Much more is at Thirdwigg.com. A video may be found .Features: Working left and right tracks, PF L, 1:1 Turret rotation, infinite rotation Gun elevation Suspension for all ten wheels Removable paneling And the right. The rear. Sorry about the single dark grey tile. The top of the turret. The snot work was fun. The internals. You can see the battery box, the turret mechanism, and the drive motors. The suspension is running down each side.
  17. It would seem odd to go through the full design process for 42051, and then cancel it. I'm holding out for its inclusion for H2.
  18. Great job. I love the blue and yellow. Do you have a better picture of the driveline, particularly how the rear two axles are connected?
  19. You could also use a liftarm based steering like in this Feller. Instructions are posted as well. I'm finding much of the planning for the A model is based on what will be in the B model.
  20. You might save some room by only having one mLA for the steering. At this scale you may only need one to turn the Grader.
  21. The wing function is pretty cool. I think the B model part of the contest will be difficult for many of the participants.
