  1. Thanks, the scale was perfect for those panels.
  2. I spent some time on the trailer last night, and while I find the build a little too simple, it is true to the original. I'll sit with this for a little bit, and change as my eyes see fit. I'll need to order some green panels, so you are stuck with the Render for now, shown with the a full scale 8063 for reference. Next up, I need to get the shaping of the tractor hood just right. It's causing me some frustration currently.
  3. Great job again. While you should be proud of your ability to add and implements so many different functions in your MOCs, I'm always impressed with your ability to use panels to shape bodywork. I love the way the black and white panels work together on this MOC, and the shaping of the wings and nose looks great. Again, another great MOC. Congratulations.
  4. Super pumped about these parts. The bike looks fine, but those gearbox parts look great. Is it a 3 speed gearbox?
  5. I actually like the recessed grill a little better. But I tend to like "texture" to be subtly behind liftarms/panels. I really like the valves in the cabin. That's a great idea, though I agree with @SaperPL that a little more finger space would be helpful if you can manage it.
  6. This is a great project, and I love what you have so far. I hate to suggest to simplify the build and rotor mechanism, but by going to three or four blades for the helicopter might help a lot. Plus, if you only keep the collective, and not the cyclic, you'll pick up a lot of extra room.
  7. I really like this project, and the results so far. This look just like 42042 but smaller, and I'm happy you kept the 5l tracks. I think that was the right decision. Keep it up.
  8. I am watching the project of @falconluan closely, but I think I have most of the ideas I need for the time being. Until they come up with a better idea , then my ideas might need to be shifted.
  9. Thanks; I'm glad you like it. The exchangeable wing was an afterthought. I had the duckbill spoiler part of the design all while I was building, then I had a lot of parts left over so I tried some ideas. I'm happy I was able to make the wing option work.
  10. Thanks, yeah, I'm right in my comfort zone. I applaud all the other designs that are still smaller than this project, but I can only go so small. Thanks. I'm a long way from finishing, so I'll still leave some other options open for the time being.
  11. Another great alternative model for 42136. Thanks for sharing this, and it looks great, particularly the long front overhang.
  12. Looks good so far. How are you going to route the steering? Are you going to use idler gears just like the original?
  13. Thanks! So far, I'm happy to be here. Just a small update today. I had 30 minutes to work on this today, so I did draft 2 of the chassis to make sure all the mechanical functions can fit. Steering, drive, fake engine, and rear PTO are in and will work. I am missing the front pendular suspension, so I'll need to work on that too. The scale is correct so far, so we'll see how the rest looks while I start adding the body work. Sorry @1gor, but I'm thinking I need to keep the balloon tires to pay correct homage to 8063. I'll try to directional tires, and post another photo when I get a chance.
  14. You definitely understand the assignment. This looks perfect.
  15. Me too, but in the meantime, I got you covered.
  16. I'm happy you are taking up this project, and I think the scale will work well. I always liked this plane, so I look forward to what you can accomplish.
  17. Thanks, I'm trying to get better at some builds that are harder for me to do. Glad you like them.
  18. I embarked upon another alternative build a couple of months ago. I still have some difficulty working on these; It's still hard for me to think and building using a confined part availability. And as the sets I attempt to rebuild are getting bigger, they are getting harder. Anyway, I present the 42154 Porsche 911. All pictures can be found here. The Porsche features the following: Steering with HOG Four wheel independent suspension Rear wheel drive with flat 6 engine Opening doors, hood, and engine cover Two spoilers, including duckbill (correct) and huge wing (incorrect) 1324 of the 1466 (90%) parts from set 42154 are used. The extra parts are shown below. My favorite picture! With the big wing. Rear view I made instructions for this MOC, like I have been doing for all my recent work. If you are interested, you may find the instructions at Rebrickable. And a little video if you are interested. I hope you all enjoy.
  19. I’m sad to see the loader go, but 8049 is one of my top 5 favorites. Keep it up, and the tractor looks great.
  20. I love the mini battery box! This project keeps getting better. Keep it up.
  21. Great start, and I like what you have so far. I have expressed my love for 8081 many times, so I'm excited that you are doing this set. I'll watch with interest.
  22. It's not done yet, so let's not assume too much yet. Maybe, but I have more fun building...
  23. Small, nostalgia based manual builds. Not a chance.
