[TC26] Snow Patrol
Thirdwigg replied to Thirdwigg's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Alright, this is done just in the nick of time. Features: Steering with HOG Front wishbone suspension Rear swingarm suspension Rear wheel drive with flat 2 engine Two skiiers It has place for the skis and poles, and of course two old Technic figs are there. I have the Studio file with all the steps done (goodness, I hate tracks). I'll have instructions for this posted by tomorrow. I think.... I hope you enjoy. -
Thanks, and I'm glad you like it. I'd be interested to see the RC version. The impetuous for this project was the Camper. You may find free instruction for this body at Rebrickable. The Camper features: Opening door Folding ladder Opening storage compartments (3) Convertible bed/table Bathroom with toilet and shower Kitchen with stove, oven, and sink Wardrobe Opening roof Opening windows (3) Roof rack And I also built a little trailer. It features a tipping bed, and a tongue jack. Free instructions for this are also at Rebrickable.com. The U5000 is almost done, so I'll post that soon enough.

Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks, I sometimes have a hard time being decisive, both with cars and vehicles. -

The Lego Car Blog did a little interview with me this past week. If you want to learn a little more about me, and my building process, give it a read. -

Old Tractor MOC
Thirdwigg replied to DaanBrickProjects's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Great little tractor, and welcome to Eurobricks. I am glad that some of my builds have inspired you; I certainly see some influence from the Vintage Tractor here. I look forward to what attachments you are able to complete. -

Thanks for the kind words. I'm happy you like the build. Yes, your Cosworth was used extensively (both in Studio, and in bricks) to give me ideas and try spacing. Thanks for sharing the Studio file for the Tyrell 019. I am grateful. The 019 is a beautify MOC too. -

Thanks again. Yeah, this is a little different for me. I keep all my system parts on a table in my home office, so during COVID meetings, all these parts were right at hand. After year or so of tinkering, this little build started to become something. The build has 777 (!) parts. Glad you like it. -

Yeah, I needed a musical reference to best reflect the quality of the build. Ok, a little update. The frame can now support itself, and the engine has been updated. Suspension is close to final. Now on to some bodywork. I might see if I can bring down the roof a stud too, it's a little tall for my eyes. -

Thanks, yeah the skis were a must. Yellow will be for the tracks, and red for the bumpers. At least that’s the idea right now. We’ll see if it lasts. Me too! We’ll see if it happens. -

I built this little LMP car over the course of countless video meeting during COVID. After lots little ideas, I spent some time putting it all together into a decent build. I love the late 90's early 2000's LMP cars, so this one was the result of this love. In Octan colors, of course. Instructions are freely available. I have a had time photographing white parts on my white background. I hope you enjoy. -
Alright, it's been a busy fall, so a holiday recovery build is just what the doctor ordered. I had lots of ideas for this contest, but since I have about 10 days to finish this, this is the idea that I has the greatest chance of being completed. I settled on something in the theme of the Arctic Technic sets from the 80 for one reason only: The Skis! So naturally, the build needs to have the Technic figs (though I don't have any of the winter ones), and a place to fit some skis and poles. Tracks are a must in my mind for an arctic build, so a little runabout was the final decision. After a little time setting dimensions and fitting mechanism, here is what I got. Front/rear suspension, rear engine, and steering so far. We'll see if I get this done.
