  1. Very nice, great idea and I love the head! I'd have to agree with Si on the sides, something to break up the studs would be nice (on the end especially). Personally I'm a bit crazy for smooth surfaces with no studs exposed... so I'd go for trying to use tan tiles to smooth it out and then lift the brown up a plate, but that would be an awful lot of tan so it's probably not an option (I don't think it would be for me!). Great spot for the cow though, peeking out right there , and what a lot of wheels!
  2. Comments and Criticism would be C&C, but CC does I think refer to Constructive Criticism. Anyway, nice build, though I agree with others that the rocks look a bit strange, perhaps because the grass on top doesn't indent to match the rockwork but instead is just a straight-edged square? Nice use of the brick brick though!
  3. Those are some sweet ideas, in fact the idea of a SNOT stairway is pretty neat... I'll have to try it out! Bottom stairway especially is my favorite.
  4. This is awesome, great job! All the green looks nice and colorful, and the raised platforms are superb! Really loving the gold balls as well! Awesome work!
  5. Take a flight to the most distant galaxy in the Banananaship! Escape human pursuers or take them on with state of the art lasers and technology! Nothing will stop any monkey once he gets his hand on the controls! Dual missiles and reinforced yellow plating insures maximum protection for our little friend! Features detachable front perfect for spying on any pesky animals or humans! Well, this took me longer than I wanted it too, but I'm pretty happy with the result, especially since it's only my second Sci-Fi build! Comments and criticisms are appreciated!
  6. Well I read through the whole thread again and I don't think this has been asked; am I allowed to edit the background? Something like what was done in the poster... Edit: And since the deadline's creeping up on me (and I'm horrible at waiting) I'm going to assume the answer is yes and post a edited picture. Though if it does end up being no, let me know and I'll change it!
  7. Very nice! Great concept and I love the steampunk! Great use for the wheels!
  8. Hit the "start new topic" on the right of the forum page. (I think it's in green and it's pretty big)
  9. Great job! Very nice way to do those windows, you have quite a few dark tan (or is that earth orange?) profile bricks! I actually think they might have looked better the other way around for the flooring, though I've never tried the technique (don't have enough!). I like those flag poles especially, might borrow that!
  10. The castle looks like it's aimed for younger builders, which is what I expected, but the "dragon catapult" really seems like it went a bit over the top... the good side heraldy is not too bad - it looks like a lion (similar, but not the same as the old kind), with a crown on. The other one still looks a bit fuzzy. I have no plans on getting the castle, but that would probably have been the case almost no matter what, so it's really not that bad.
  11. I'm a bit busy right now, both with Challenge VI and trying to wrap up that last Sci-Fi month entry (don't remind me about the deadline!), but I think I should be able to do something for the "mini-challenge" - I actually hadn't realized we were doing that, I guess I've slept since then. I remember that we were supposed to do something like a parting scene? - and, well, I guess this wasn't the idea, but perhaps it could tie into Challenge VI, or I guess more introductory - but anyone able to refresh my mind on any other details? Thanks... NM, if your characters are going to re-build the wall, they are going to need wood. So maybe the start of a forest wouldn't be in-appropriate? Or a couple trees. Just if you needed to fill up space, really. But a few shacks and temporary buildings would look great and probably wouldn't be that hard either.
  12. That stone technique is pretty neat, and the fact that you were able to slant some of the snow boggles my mind... Nice interior as well and good work in general. Just as a small note, the transition from the larger stones to the smaller, more normal kinds at the edges feels almost like you just didn't have enough big ones or couldn't space them right to get them to turn the corners. If you could keep all the stones 2 studs wide it might look a bit less forced? Nice smoke and chimney too though!
  13. NM, it looks good so far, nice and ruined though I'm not such a fan of that kind of multi-colored entrance path, personally I think it might be better without the green. The general shape is looking good, and so are the details you've got on the wall (windows, arrow slits). As far as adding another base plate, I'm a big fan of nice open desert, so I'd say go for it if you have enough tan left to sand-scape it with about the same consistency of the other sections. Or, if it fits with the rest of the build, an oasis or something of the sort (maybe a well) might look nice. Looking good, I'm eager to see the finished project!
  14. It strikes me as though LEGO had not been planing a second series, this was supposed to be the end, but now they've made a sort of last minute decision that may make them continue it in 2014 (or possibly late 2013 but I think that's when Chima will air, so I kind of doubt that). I just hope that they don't change Ninjago too much, but keep up with the trend of what they've already been doing (not repetitive, but the same style).
  15. Thanks! I actually didn't use dark green, it's normal green and supposed to represent grass, but yeah, especially in the picture, it didn't turn out so great! Just guess... if you're bigger than everything else I wouldn't worry!
  16. Nice job! I like the multi-layered tree and your landscaping is really well done. Hopefully the peasant can stay hidden!
  17. Yes, I'd be happy to add you, sorry I missed you and your brother (who I'll also add right away) earlier! You're welcome to give me any backstory info as well!
  18. The new preview looks fairly interesting, though I must say I agree with most of the critisicims of the first two episodes. The lack of personality is a bit bothersome, but my main problem is with the entire story line and the idea of Chi; Eris is ridiculous, as others have said, and frankly she seems a lot worse than Nya, who at least was always understandably captured, at least (not that the first one wasn't understandable, though whatever happened there? - maybe I missed something but she seemed to get freed almost by magic - but on her speedor was perhaps the most ridiculous scene so far...
  19. Very nice builds, your style, in these two at least, has a very unique feel to it, the darker tone adds a lot to the story. The fading lines on the house especially look very realistic, as does the darker foliage. Really it's hard to describe, but you've captured a feeling with both of these that gives them a deeper interest then some other MOCs. I think the border turned out better here than on your Dedication, which struck me as a bit clashing with the darker tone of the rest of the build, but here it adds just that color that it would be lacking. Great job, and an intriguing story line so far as well, I'm interested in hearing more!
  20. I'd have to agree with most people here; if I get one, I get one. I certainly wouldn't go out of my way for one. And I'd probably keep any I do get for reselling when the price is crazy (as it's sure to be!). I highly doubt that it would be made out of real metal. Probably just a plan fig in gold with maybe some generic accessory to throw people off. But if there's only 5000 worldwide... well, I probably won't ever end up with one!
  21. Yep, I can see them just fine, though the first four in your signature don't show up. You're right, now I'll get a chance to see the rest of your other builds!
  22. Awesome! All the little details are really great, and the color scheme is excellent; I love the Tudor style! Fantastic little balcony, great work all around! The border looks good, with the brick bricks especially, but it almost seems like it cuts too close to the house (a bit more landscaping around it would be nice). My one tiny nitpick on an incredibly good build!
  23. This is awesome, I love the tan and great job with all the grey details! Fantastic work!
  24. Great little build, I really like the wall and the flowers! Using the bricks with grooves around the flower holders looks really neat as well!
  25. I just noticed that Lloyd has the sword of Fire... just like in the dragon... hmm.... I wonder if that could mean anything?
