Well, here's my first Sci-Fi MOC (plus the first one I've posted this year!); a road/runway with a few bars to indicate limited access, a building in the background, a tall control room and a smaller building something like a toll booth. Plus of course a plane/spaceship and a cargo truck in the background as well. Without the vehicles. I used a lot of Bricks, Modified 1 x 1 with Headlight; 16 at least I think, so that I could attach all the buildings and the two halfs of the vig as well! Feedback is appreciated, I had fun building this and thanks to Si-MOCs for getting me interested in Sci-Fi!

@Da Maximus, yes, the idea would be to make it as short but comprehensive as possible! I think most people have only three or four characters (named characters, that is), but it would be nice to list them all; though highlighting the main character would make it easier for new members/almost members. @Lysod, have no fear, your pigeons have arrived safely to... wherever I might be right now (talking about a thread for where we all are... ). Perhaps the artist has left some secret papyrus, buryed somewhere in the city that will instruct your people on how to draw? We hope that the next pigeon will bring good news as well! (I haven't seen you here before; I hope you don't mind but I have to ask are you new?) -
Thanks! I'm working (read; about to work) on another desert scene now!

Thanks! I had always wanted to combine the flags and crystals like this, now I finnally have all the colors (though to be fair, not all the flags are mine! ). Thanks a ton! Yeah, it's a shame I was able to build so few sig-figs (though it filled up the room pretty quickly)! I'm really glad I thought of the fire pit; without it the room would have looked a bit plain...

Right now the Wizard (if you're reffering to Victor Revolword) is in the king's palace in Cedrica. But I would imagine that he could have other hideouts as well! -

Yeah, I know he did that; it would be nice to be able to link to a certain person's MOCs though... The index is really quite helpful; it makes finding my older MOCs much easier! -
Thanks Brickington and TheStrategist! Yes, I pretty much ran out of tiles... I actually didn't even have enough to do half the floor, in almost any color except maybe dark and light bley, alternating... which I didn't find suitable! But then, I do like SNOT flooring, since it does add an aspect of coolness...

I'll throw what I was thinking about out there and if no one minds or has a better idea I'll give it a try; a post with the names of all the active members (I read every post, so to qualify as active in my book I'd have to have seen you recently enough to know your name), and below that various facts about them; depending on how much of a story they already have, a sentance or two abou their background; if they have a GoH wiki page I'd link it, I could also stick in their EB screen name & link to profile, any other random facts that are important, and then where they are currently in their story (and what they're doing). Naturally that would have to be updated fairly often; I'm fairly busy this year but as long as everyone else is too I don't think that will be much of a problem... Oh, and as long as I'm just spewing out ideas, it would be nice to have a list of all the MOCs that person has done... In the rest of the thread anyone could offer suggestions, tell me where they are and what I did wrong, link to any important MOCs for their story (and maybe give a brief sentance on how they got there; sometimes it's hard to tell what's going on - how did Owlan get to Valaryio, how long is he staying?), etc. Any suggestions? -
Nice job, Mini, dark red is always great and the farmers market area looks great! Somehow the hight of the canal seems a bit too much, but your two little boats are very well done! Nice touch with the vines on the side of the house too!

I vote Mich Maxersine;

Well I have enough dogs to suit me (though not the newer mold), so I would have rathered a horse, but the Forest Ambush set is sounding pretty neat. Not sure how many of the others I'd be interested in. The next two small ones seem pretty neat.

I was about to say, I was in a hurry when I wrote that, but I'd like to take a stab at it if no one else minds! With Challenge 6 especially, it would be nice to know who's where so we can have them interact (in our own stories). -

That's a great idea; it could really help with people (like me) who like doing long stories; it would make it easier to know when to visit where/who... -
Thanks! I had some trouble coming up with that for the tree, as I didn't want to copy any of the previous ones and LEGO seems to have done almost everything possible... but I finally managed!

Congrats on your first MOC! This is looking quite nice, especially the door (great use for the LotR rings), and it has a nice farmy feel, but I would suggest you try to make the front a bit smoother (just normal tan bricks instead of the "logs" might look better), as it almost has too much texture. Giving the stable roof the same tilt as the rest of the house (if possible) might make it look more natural, but nice color picks and the chicken coop looks really good!
-
Thanks! I really should write the next part soon... I'm not sure how complicated to make it though!
-
They're both reptiles, I believe. Though I get amphibians and reptiles confused occasionally... But then, gorrilas, lions, and bears are all mammals (and so are wolves), and Ravens and Eagles are both birds...
-
Kind of doubt there would be one (tribe), because sharks only go in water. It's true that crocs are mainly water creatures, but they can survive on land quite easily.
-
I see you've got the Mitgardian colors in there! I'd have to agree with SK about the fence, white might look good there (if you have any left). The fireplace looks good but I'm not sure about the arched door on the second story of the storehouse; are you going to have a bridge going across it? As is it looks a bit strange! Also think you could do better on the transition from red to light bley arches on the storehouse; they just seem to be poping out of nowhere... Just some ideas I'm throwing out there...

Looking really good; I would say add some leaves and foilage scattered around the path and you shouldn't have any trouble with it's straighness. The lake's looking good too; do you plan on 1x1 trans-clear/lightblue/blue round plates to finish it off?

Da Maximus, that looks awesome! Love the water especially!ยท Can't wait to see it finished! -
Neat looking tower, is that trans-black all through? It almost looks like the other towers are meant to spell something but I guess not? Nice work!
-
Nice work, especially with the tower, I sat there yesterday with a few visors and couldn't for the life of me come up with anything new! Like all the tubing and stuff you've got going everywhere,
-
Great job, really love the monkey bike! Nice electric road as well and stick the palm tree there was a great idea!
-
Those polybags are pretty neat, I hope I can get my hands on the Tonto one at least (some nice cheese and 1x1 round plates). It's still very hard to tell, but maybe the crow does come of Tonto's hat?
