  1. I just finished another section of my journey of exploration: I've got one more left before I can tie into the Kaliphlin mini-challenge, but I probably won't write it until Monday. Anyway, MK, sounds great! I wonder how many people will leave the story hanging and how many will have a sort of happily forever after ending... DM, I wouldn't worry about too many interiors. You could do all three interiors if you felt like it! And I'm looking forward to seeing your armored eagle goddess, gedren!
  2. Thanks guys! Well, it's been quite a while I see, but with Challenge VI pushing on me, I really had better get a move on with my story... so here's the next part! I plan on wrapping up Gad's diary fairly soon, so I can switch to third person for Challenge VI, so there might not be too much more here. ____________________________________________ August 2nd. For the last three weeks we have roamed the countryside, scare knowing what to do with ourselves. We returned to the place we saw the robbers first, but they are too clever for us. After each day we hang our heads farther down. He will not admit it, but I can tell Ageven has nearly given up hope. Indeed, such a long time has passed, that even had Raz been able to free himself, there is little chance of our finding him here. We are right now in the desert, just before Queenscross; though the heat is sultry, Azc has started a fire to cook our supper. Ageven studies the map; I wonder where he plans to go next. It is all the same to me, though, likely, the best place would be Cedrica; at least, since that was where we were heading, it would be the most likely place Raz would go. Whatever happens, I do hope we stop in a house tomorrow. This nomadic life does not suit me, not at all. There seems little use in talking of that which befell us, after all; and we heard some alarming news, not long ago, while we passed a group of travelling merchants. They did not seem to be very sure, but Victor Revolword is near as he can be to Cedrica. I for one think it would likely be dangerous to visit, as it is likely Cedrica could only be taken in a pitched battle. But there is no telling such a thing to Ageven. Where we will be in a months time is more than I can say! August 4th. After months of tireless search, we have finally found Raz! Or perhaps I should better say, he has found us! We were staying at an inn alongside the Arkbri river when Ageven, who had gone outside for a breath, burst in suddenly with the amazing news that Raz was outside - along with, of all people, the same robber leader who had first attacked us. I must say we are all eager to hear more about his life, but that must wait; we travel to Cedrica without delay. Ageven wishes to see the city before Victor arrives, and, if necessary, be available to give a hand in it's defense. I most assuredly hope that is unnecessary. August 17th. It is with great sorrow I write these words; Cedrica, the gem of Historica, has fallen. Not by force - even for Revolword, that would be too great of a fight; no, he has taken it by strategem, by cunning, by underhanded operations - but all that was over a week ago. We - all five of us, for Kaflar, the robber knight as Raz calls him, is one of us now - were forced to go in hiding. Both the king and his son have been killed, or so we have heard. Indeed, Raz saw the king's son murdered with his own eyes. Gedius, a young Cedrican, accompanies us in our flight, as he wishes to aid in Historicas struggle against Victor.
  3. Nice job! I like the way you were able to incorporate the mountain into the rest of the build, very clever! Nice addition with the brown as well, it makes for a good contrast with the stone!
  4. 17. Cecile - 1 point - nice combo! 41. legoalbert - 2 points - simple but creative! 43. Hammerstein NWC - 2 points - great fig!
  5. Great idea with the aqueduct, entertaining read as well! Nice little house and the plants on the columns are a nice touch!
  6. 53. Zaude - Yacapo - 1 point 56. Eco-City - LL - 2 points 72.The City of Tomorrow - touthomme - 1 point 75. The Day The Earth Stood Still (1951) - customBRICKS - 1 point
  7. Yeah, it actually looks pretty good, I was just trying to say that it doesn't quite fit in with the idea of a dungeon (wood would usually rot down there! ). But like you said, it doesn't look bad!
  8. 5. Duh-Nuh - madLEGOman 24. BannanaTank - alex54 25. Steampunk Cat Shredder - dr_spock 47. Wild West - Emma 52. Ivory Poaching - Ecclesiastes madLEGOman - just awesome the way you got the shark to come out the back! alex54 - that was more or less what I had been trying to do, shapewise, you nailed it! dr.spock - hilarious! Emma - brilliant idea! I'm partial to steampunk too... Ecc. - great colorscheme!
  9. Like Ska mentioned, Kaliphlin has plenty of dwarves! Pretty funny mummy face, and as far as the lion knight is concerned I don't think the DK blue pants are really necessary, red would be just as good. But except for the city guards, we're supposed to have more of a rag-tag army, so I wouldn't worry too much about having multiple of the same types of soldier.
  10. I think one problem is the angle/pose. My guess is that it will look a lot better once we see it the way LEGO wants us to...
  11. Does that mean Kristel should join Kaliphlin?
  12. Nice job! I agree with others that this is your best, I would suggest you try to reduce the blur a bit more for your images though (I'm sure it would help with the free-build points ). I'm not sure about the brown, it just seems like it doesn't go too well with the stone of the rest of the dungeon, but nice use of the sand green! Good fig posing as well, and nice incorporation of your guild colors into the border!
  13. Congrats on the promotion Ecc, I'm sure you'll do a good job! It's sad to see SOT go though, I really enjoyed your builds, hoping you can return someday!
  14. There's Challenge VI, which is three fairly large builds, the Avalonian ones (I assume you're talking about the title challenges?) are actually more or less ongoing, a Kaliphlin one just started (but I'm not sure if it's for all of Historica or just us), plus there's the Petraea University challenge (second semester, in case the first post is misleading). Plenty to build!
  15. NM, it looks great so far! I'm not sure I'd leave the top of the tower down so completely it might be better if you propped it up with some brown poles to indicate a temporary boost? It's certainly well done enough to use it for a Challenge VI build, though of course it's up to you, it might not be a bad idea if you wanted to keep the next two pretty big.
  16. Beautiful! Love the style and the fountain especially looks great! A lot of neat techniques you got there as well!
  17. I'm afraid if you call him CZ he might never get around to responding... Anyway, if you really want to give away a prize your best bet is to PM a moderator (not regulator, ISC would probably be you're best bet, but I guess you could ask Si), as I don't think it's likely any moderator would just go up to you and say, hey do you want to offer a prize? (Even if you did suggest it, still the initiative has to come from you. And of course I realize you might have already PMed a leader, or done something similar, I'm just throwing this out there.) Anyway... (for the second time), I'm working on something that should work now, I'll have it done likely by Saturday!
  18. Great job! I love all the details and the size is amazing! Perfect color-scheme as well! Fantastic work!
  19. Yeah, I certainly don't envy you all that work, Si! There must have been tons of entries! Doing a little searching I get just under 70 for FAPC and 95 for MSFC, and my guess is between 100-150 - probably closer to 150 - for the Avatar contest (based on the amount of posts in that thread), but some of the first two probably aren't eligible. P.S. I wonder if I can edit my guess...
  20. It might be a good idea to set up a separate thread for the challenge, that way it would be easier to keep track of entries (post a link in the thread), plus it would be easier to keep track of the rules... was it supposed to be a certain size?
  21. Nice little build! I like that roofing style and the chicken is a nice touch! Neat vines as well!
  22. I'll go with: 120/75/70 Are we allowed to count? I guess that would be like cheating... but I did approximate the avatars from the number of posts in that topic.
  23. Great job! Love the shape and the top is awesome, as well as the interior details! Neat color-scheme as well, and the ground floor flooring especially looks fantastic!
  24. Thanks, yeah, de Gothia was pretty busy while I was away, good to hear it's all good! DM, updated! Thanks!
  25. Thanks, no problem, I really should have asked earlier!
