  1. I suggest buying track separately to expand how much track you have instead of buying a whole other train set. If you want to get more train parts like buffers, wheels, train bases, etc. I would suggest looking at bricklink and eBay and maybe even Lego's Pick A Brick. If you want another train I was able to get the 60098 Heavy Haul Train off the amazon.fr site for around $148 USD and that included the shipping if you live in the U.S but that was a couple of months ago and to see the final price you need to go all the way through checkout and if you don't like the price don't press order. Welcome to trains! -RailCo
  2. Cannot wait till I can order some of those metal rails to increase my 9v Layout with! -RailCo
  3. Looks like a train project has reached the front page!!! Which s the DB 103 Project by Henrik! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/102291 -RailCo
  4. I guess I am confused on your description of what configuration you are suggesting and I did now just realize I will have to change the height of the locomotive to get the locomotive even with the tender. Thanks -RailCo
  5. Hello all, I have been recently working on many classic train styles recently and this is my biggest one so far (Still pretty small). I need suggestions on how to configure that train wheels and what size wheel to use from BBB I was thinking medium wheels but i am not totally sure and if you have other suggestions please let me know! Here are some picture!: WIP: Classic LEGO steam train with power functions. by Rail Co, on Flickr WIP: Classic LEGO steam train with power functions. by Rail Co, on Flickr WIP: Classic LEGO steam train with power functions. by Rail Co, on Flickr WIP: Classic LEGO steam train with power functions. by Rail Co, on Flickr Sorry for low quality pictures don't have a of of time and the lighting was not the best -RailCo
  6. I'm no electrician or electronics engineer but I assume you would have to set a timer that clocks how long the train should run for before cutting off power to the circuit. -RailCo
  7. Beautiful work I really love the truck and the design of the building as a whole!! Amazing Job! -RailCo
  8. Wowza those look good! Great Job -RailCo
  9. Also notice on the box that it is in the regular black color maybe they originally chose black and changed it? -RailCo
  10. Well basically I am buying that set for those I guess.... -RailCo
  11. I posted my project recently if it peaks anyone's interest they can take a look at it if the please link is in my signature. Great projects though! -RailCo
  12. Thank you! The goal was to keep it as simple as possible but keep within the standard track geometry that lego had originally. Thanks -Railco
  13. Hello all fellow train folks, today I have another MOC but it isn't a train, it is a track piece that we haven't been able to get in 10 years. Here it is more info to follow. 1). It has to be the same size as previous tracks. 2). It would need to use minimal parts and be easy to construct. 3). It would need to be as quiet as possible or be as quiet as standard Lego tracks when the train rolls over it. 4). It would have to be stable and would not fall apart in use. I hope you all enjoy my MOC and this track piece. I you feel inclined constructive criticism is always welcome! If you thought It was brilliant you can support it here: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/131973
  14. That's really looking good I like the idea there stupendous work! Im hoping that is a switch that I could connect a motor to! Cool Design -RailCo
  15. I love how you were able to capture so perfectly the stairs that go under the locomotive for maintenance simply brilliant! Wow! -RailCo
  16. nesquik where did you get this information? I would love a Christmas train and hope it's a steam engine hopefully a medium one maybe even a small one seeing how they pack al the power function in (Or if you have to buy your own). Great news! -RailCo
  17. Just remember Lego started out with blue train track which wasn't actually used in real life. I'm sure this will be a great set to re-sell the track pieces as they will probably be unique to the set. Think on the upside people! -RailCo
  18. Some things weren't displayed at the fair just so you know. -RailCo
  19. Love the Locomotive Wish I could make a detailed shunter like that! Great Job! -RailCo
  20. @Man with a hat: The 80s and early 90s look was what I was shooting for. Not sure if I should add hand rails somewhere though... @brickostan: You can build shunters with a 9v battery box that IR receiver would take up most of your cab space depending on the build though. his Is probably my next challenge is making s hunter hat fits everything. I just built this one because I had a extra 9 motor from an ebay buy awhile back.
  21. Hey Guys hope you are all having a wonderful 2016! I have another shunter built today (If you haven't noticed I have build a couple, they're just a fun way to pack things into one small package). The Idea came to me recently one night that I liked the 7760 but will never be able to afford it while I also enjoyed the red/white color scheme of the 4563 Load N' Haul engine. So I thought to combine the two and make it look more modern but still have that classic style we all love. Here it is Enjoy! 24. Thank you! -RailCo
  25. Hello guys I am starting to get into 9v now and I have 5 motors. They all run at different speeds and some are slower when they first start but get faster when they have been running for a minute or two. I am wondering if anyone has tips and tricks to fix/tune up or clean the motors so that they all run at the same speed. They all run fine it's just some run slower. Thanks -RailCo
