  1. I hope he puts this up the Lego Ideas website because this is absolutely amazing! If he wanted he could sell instructions and the program i am sure many would buy it. Impeccable -RailCo
  2. I love the detail that you have included into this model! I really love the way that you made the awnings/tents! Amazing Job! -RailCo
  3. Not to be "that guy" but according to Site Guidelines you mentioned that you are just a kid and the rules explicitly say you should be 18 or greater Please Read the Guidelines! -RailCo
  4. @LegoMaverick, I think that the reason that the trains are so popular in Britain is because the last 2-3 generations have had trains when growing up whether it be through Basset-Lowke, Tri-Ang, Hornby, or Lego. Also along with using the train in Britain as the main mode of transport for many, a lot of people would want a miniature one they can run themselves. @THERIZE, What store and what country did you get that information from? I hope that's just a late date if it is the date for U.S. Thanks, -RailCo
  5. Sorry for another update but I just called U.S. Customer Service and the lady I talked to said there was no details about a U.S. release at this time, so that could be an unfortunate sign that it will not be sold in America... Get your wallets out for the shipping cost. -RailCo Update: Turns out that it is in the City theme at this link http://www.lego.com/en-us/city/products/60098-heavy-haul-train?ignorereferer=true IN the U.S. so maybe it was just an early release in Europe.
  6. Looks like it has been pulled from all the Lego S@H sites. I am wondering if they listed it at the wrong time because it isn't on the Summer 2015 Catalog that came in the mail for the U.S. We can only hope they ran out of stock... Turns out they do not have it listed under the Train category anymore since they ran out of stock, sorry for the false alarm...
  7. Thanks for the clarification I did not know that Denmark had such high prices! Hopefully it won't be near that $225 mark for the U.S. market, I assume this set will be around $150-$180 -RailCo
  8. So I just found this post on toysnbricks (http://www.toysnbricks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=12590), It shows the box but also is showing that it is available at LegoLand Billund. It doesn't surprise me that it is available at that store but what does surprise me is the premiere price you have to pay for it (around $225!!!). In my personal opinion it is an "okay" set, the engine looks better than the 7939 Cargo set we had in 2010. It has a nice coal deposit and loading center which is 10 times better than the one we found in the 3677, this also includes one of my favorite crane pieces, the "Crane Bucket" or what I like to call it is the claw. sure the 2 flat wagons are a bit basic but I think we need to remember that these sets are aimed for children and this set is more of a starter set to get someone into the train theme. I feel like some people are being harsh and criticizing it because it doesn't have what an AFOL wants but these are not meant for adults that is what the Expert trains are for. So personally I do like many of the elements of this set for my wants. That is my 2 cents -RailCo
  9. Yeah I have a couple bad packing experiences recently. First one was he put the sealed 4533 box in a paper mailing bag (USPS Priority bag) and the box came dented thank goodness it still was sealed or I would have over payed at that point... Another one was I won an auction for a 4564 train set with extra track. He put each assembled train and train carriages etc. in a plastic bag (this was good) then filled a box up with packing peanuts (a whole trash bag full!!!). Then he taped the whole box in fragile tape (basically holding it together) then the top was just taped on if it broke my whole order would be gone. Some people just need to learn how to pack things decently... Good luck -RailCo
  10. Remember that people like different trains or styles than other people. I love the Metroliner it is one of my favorite trains. Sure it is not the most detailed but I remember being little and seeing that 4558 train and being in love but never got it till this year! So it all depends on taste!
  11. Great model! Really like the brick built letter details and the almost studless loco design. What I am curious to see is where you put all the PF components as I see the receiver but nothing else... Also great use of the vintage style windows for the cab! Great Job!!! -RailCo
  12. First I would like to say Welcome to Eurobricks and welcome to the train forum! Honestly any track Lego has made for the trains theme (Not including duplo) will work. For the most part I would use it the new RC/PF track available today just because it is easy to get, but if you had trains when you were younger you can run it on those tracks too. Enjoy your train! -RailCo
  13. So I am speechless I don't even know where to start!!! Great Job! (Excuse me while I drool). Amazing work again LT12V!!! -RailCo
  14. Great model perfect design!!! How long does that 9v battery last on average I thought just 1 9v battery would drain itself pretty fast? Good Job!!! -RailCo
  15. I have always wondered why the UK did not have the blue 12v trains by 1973? I thought they were released in all of Europe by 1969-1970? Sorry I could not get my images to upload so hopefully with this site you can look them up sorry for the inconvenience... http://worldbricks.com/en/catalog-year/1970/catalogs-1973.html Both are from the 1973 catalog with "Ambulance. Built by Maria aged 5" on the front of the catalog. So I am wondering if the blue track 12v system was ever released in the UK? Thank you for all of the Trains History I have already learned so much from you! -RailCo
  16. Hey guys, I have seen about 3-4 different types of packaging for the old blue 4.5v rails and I am wondering If I can date them easily by the box style without opening it This is my sealed box: Lego 155 MISB with plastic shrink warp fully intact. by Railco1, on Flickr Lego 155 MISB with plastic shrink warp fully intact. by Railco1, on Flickr I hope someone can help me date this without opening it accurately! Thanks -RailCo P.S. Should I open it?
  17. I'm curious to see the final thing I have been following this project for awhile! I am wondering how much you saved (or not with all the sealed items!). Cannot wait to see the thing built up maybe a video of a nice new motor getting it's first scratches on the contacts (meaning I would love to see it running). Great Project!!! -RailCo
  18. Welcome to the Wondrous world of trains! You have a pretty good collection going on their some rare and some almost 10 years old themselves (The white ice train 7897 and also the crane car from 7898). I hope to see more of you in the future with some great train layouts to come and maybe some mocs. Also just a side note the Double crossover track is a desired piece of track worth $100-$110 used depending on the condition so you are lucky to have it. I always thought I didn't need it but I wish I had bought one now knowing the price now. Best Wishes -Railco P.S. Excuse your wallet slowly getting lighter it is a normal symptom of Lego Trains!
  19. Wow some good detail there LT12V! I really do love cranes for trains (no rhyme intended). Now that I think about it though I dont have an official set with a crane in it . I know what that means though either make one myself or go buy one!!! I have never seen the metal hook weights before... were they common? What part number is it or what sets were they in/ what year(s) were they used in? Great designs and pictures LT12V!!!! -Rail Co
  20. Very well done! I really like the pitched roofs style! Good job. -Rail Co
  21. Yeah there is no way to ID the color without opening the box. In 2002-04 I believe were the years of transition between the two colors so it's a gamble on what you get for the World City boxes. -RailCo
  22. Oh! Hello ozacek! I have probably watched your dream layout video around 15 times since i found it a few years back. Welcome to Eurobricks, I hope to see more of you I envy your collection. Thanks for sharing -RailCo
  23. I understand getting the MISB sets, but the cost puts me off from it. I have bought a couple small 9v era supplemental sets like the snowplow and maintenance truck along with some 4.5v sealed track with plastic wrap but that's it. I will only by a train sealed if it is a good deal or the same price as a used set. I envy you for selling some technic sets to be able to buy these enjoy them! Have fun! -RailCo P.S. @1974 I understand that yes, he did buy a lot of sealed sets but i think he worked hard to get these. Probably selling some prized technic sets of his and he is trying to get into the hobby. Plus not everyone can MOC especially when he is just starting out. I just want to say we are all mature enough to not be so rude. I just want to keep this a friendly forum to share and have fun! I just wanted to say that and clear that up not trying to cause any arguments!
  24. First off Welcome to Eurobricks! I love to see what new members have to offer and this is good! Lovely use of space, too cluttered for myself to build but would still be fun to have. How many trains can you run at one time on this layout? Cool layout! -RailCo
  25. Thank you guys so much! Once I have money in the budget i'll order the customized truck and hopefully figure out a way to motorize it. Thanks again! -RailCo
