  1. AMRCA Result: @MKJoshA "Just disembarked, the crew retrieves a few golden trinkets found on the beach. (67 db added to the adventure treasury.) Following the map, Captain Sulu's expedition finds the spot marked on the map, and starts digging. After a few minutes, their shovels hit something hard, which quickly proves to be an old chest. The chest, however, is marked with a large number of mysterious markings that appear to be warnings in an old language. Pondering for a moment over the chest, Captain Sulu's men is shocked by what can best be described as a tribal warcry from the surrounding forests." Options: Safe choice: Pick up a few golden objects found around the chest and flee the scene. Risky choice: Set up defenses, excavate the chest completely to retrieve it. Elaborate choice: (Requires three vignettes) Hide and try to lure any attackers away. When the coast is clear, retrieve the chest and leave the scene." Note: In any case, the adventure requires one build to continue. If you decide on the elaborate choice, a total of three vignettes is required. Your story should clarify which option you are taking, but you are welcome to interpret the options creatively. Let us know if you have any questions.
  2. Sir Dee har returned with a new business opportunity! Guns, guns for all!
  3. Your form appears to be filled in perfectly correct.
  4. This is fine, I believe :) Otherwise, we now know your exact intentions :)
  5. I will link it in the corrington thread instead. We have so many sticky'd posts already.
  6. Thanks for the comment... The build does not need to be licensable, but *if* it fulfills the normal requirements it can be. I have noted that that is not clear in the form, but it should be so in the rules.
  7. Ibn al'Sayeed had met with the Papadopoulos brothers at a small warehouse in King's Harbour. Here he would instruct them to go and recruit additional crew for the ships of the Montoya Estate. Luckily, King's Harbour, being a naval base, has a large number of sailors passing through, many of which would be interested in the favourable conditions the Montoya Estate could offer. Just a small build for me to increase my ship limits. It will be licensed as a small commerce in King's Harbour.
  8. This should be sufficient. But don't use troops for both. ;) Troops *may* be reworked in the way they are handled at some time in the future... :)
  9. If it is on one of the existing islands claimed by Corrington, I would say that you can do as you describe, as IC we sort of already have that island as part of the realm. And yes, land troops can explore an island, but the same could be done by the crew of a ship. (Although the ship wouldn't be able to sail elsewhere in the same period, of course, it's crew being occupied)
  10. @Maxim I: We will find a way to play this into your outcome - and as it is a misunderstanding and the first AMRCA round, we will consider being lenient for the sake of fairness
  11. Weeeelll. The AMRCA is run by gamemasters and may (i guess - its almost as new to us as to you) have some very different outcome. Stats only work as input to the gamemaster, not for a mathematical machine (as in the TMRCA), so they may not prove useless, especially not once you disembark! :)
  12. Lovely little build, Maxim, and neat take on bureaucracy! (You guys do understand that it is a money sink, right - a necessity for the game? And that the build is to get it out there, integrated into the lore? ) However, I am obliged to inform you that one build is required per entity, per increase in ship levels. So either Maestro or yourself will need a new build. (I believe LS already posted a build for Maestro, so this should not pose any problems for you.)
  13. Troop locations are generally reset and you can place them anywhere (like ships). I am not sure the automaters are going to send many kisses your way if you start splitting up troop units, but I am not sure how that works. Those on ships (as extra crew) are no longer on board as extra crew, as that functionality has been removed for ERA II. (We will replace it with something else in the "near" future)
  14. KB has the gospel. :)
  15. Edit: KB's reply (below) was more accurate
  16. Oh, she's a beast! :O Will be looking forward to seeing her introduced!
  17. This is a fantastic build, Elos - the landscaping and vegetation is a perfect backdrop for the amazing skeleton, the great tree (and vulture!), and the leopard, and those ruins really help setting the mysterious and desolate atmosphere of the build! Fantastic build all around!I think you will like the upcoming challenge, Elos! (Also, no, I do not think we should license this - let it bask in its own beauty without tainting it with the EGS... )
  18. All the best wishes for Hugo in his business ventures! Hopefully his economic success will follow the military success of his brother!
  19. A set of beautiful builds, Ayrlego. I am impressed by the large suger cane fields (my fingers almost hurt at the thought of placing them in real bricks...), but my favourite part is the two buildings. The residential block is fantastically utilitaristic without looking bare, and the manor house is absolutely stunning! Fantastic work!
  20. Another great series, Ayrlego - happy you took a crack at this (I know how much you love a figbarf, so I can't say I'm surprised ) - as always, I really like your figs. My favourites are the three national soldiers and the smuggler.
  21. Corrington is appointing new officers for the growing Royal Terra Novan Navy!
  22. "Young men of Corrington," Rear-Admiral Fletcher boomed in his best quarterdeck voice across the plaza in front of the naval academy in Arlinsport. "It is with great pride that today we hand you your epaulettes and title you Lieutenants of the Royal Navy" "From this day on you are appointed officers in the finest navy of the Brick Seas, and it falls to you to ensure the future of the Nation and to bring glory and honour to Her Majesty's Royal Navy." "Remember that neither a title nor a set of epaulettes makes a good officer. All of you have served as midshipmen on her Majesty's vessels and know better than most that the men respect professionalism, courage, and proficiency. These are the qualities you must demonstrate on the quarterdeck." Fletcher looked at the young men in turn, his usually rather stern face struggling to conceal his pride in these young men who would be the oaken wall protecting her Majesty's interests in the years to come. A build for Corrington to increase our ship limit. It will be licensed as a small educational in Arlinsport. I find I quite like building these little scenes. As always, C&C is appreciated.
  23. To Count Mesabi, CEO of the WTC We have revieved your accounts, and you are currently 200 dbs in debit, lent under conditions of a share in the profits earned by the Suckerfish. After further revieving your economy, the BoC is willing to extend another 250 dbs to your account. However, the loan will incur a 10 % compound interest per month. Should these terms be acceptable to his eminence, inform the Bank immediately, and the funds shall be advanced. Best regards Sir Edward Summerridge Executive Director, BoC Are you going to license this build, Mesabi? The story isn't clear on what purpoase this building has. My advice for another time would be to try to fill in the gap between the roof and the walls, perhaps with slopes, or by repositioning the hinges inwards to let the roof fall close to the top of the wall. Your story is as always amusing, and Count Mesabi certainly has been making a name for himself in BoBS!
  24. Great looking vessel, Pombe. The snotted jumper plates are surprisingly effective in creating the hull shape, and I think your brick built brig rig is very well done. The whole scene is really nice, and I like the way you made the water. And of course, it is always amusing to read your stories! ;) (Also, leadership-note: Normally, we do not allow ships a rating above their absolute size, but unless any of my colleagues protest, I think the inclusion of a large scene makes it reasonable to accept this as a class 3 as stated.)
  25. The most fascinating about these CMF series (and I am really tempted to do one myself too...) is really what it says about it's creator's view on BoBS and the different factions! :P Great entry in the series, sir - well done! My favourites are the Sea Rats.
