  1. Thanks for the feedback! I was trying to try to add some sand flying out of the hole as well but didn't manage to make it look good enough... Is everyone here too young to remember Dune? "Wormsign!!"
  2. Nice litte build, I like the base quite a lot Looking forward to reading more of the story!
  3. Wow, those eyes are creepy! I also like the tree, those new tooth pieces indeed seems great in snowy scenes. The ground looks a bit too flat, for example maybe some footsteps would have been nice?
  4. Category B entry posted!
  5. I'd like to claim a UoP credit for brick-built animal #1 [Agriculture and Zoology] for this build.
  6. Weird things are happening throughout Historica. Among these are that creatures which normally avoid the heat of Kaliphlin have been sighted in the desert sands. This worm actually looks like a being of the Frozen Beyond, north of Mitgardia! There must surely be some strange and ancient magic at work to make this happen... Run for your life!! The cold mouth of the beast. The entire build. I'd also like to claim a UoP credit for brick-built animal #1 [Agriculture and Zoology].
  7. Fun story and builds, which are all excellent! I especially like the landscaping of the Mitgardian build, but for some reason I'm extra fond of the atmosphere in the Avalonian build The story doesn't necessarily fit into my view on GoH with the motto "Keep it dark, keep it realistic" however, but Historica is full of surprises
  8. Very nice, seems like the Algus are vunerable to the joy of building I like the rainbow spell a lot!
  9. Excellent mangrove trees (those roots are perfect!) and swamp in general, those olive green plants look very suitable also
  10. Interesting shaping of the left side wall, and well done making it fit together with the roof! The stonework is also quite unique, and I must point out that I really like that weather vane
  11. Excellent build, I love that bridge and the landscaping in general! I assume we are seeing some Nocturnian scum assisting that cursed lich...I mean the Desert King Good luck in the CCC!
  12. Welcome Mpyromaxos! Nice sigfig and great introduction build
  13. This is truly an awesome build, can't stop looking (and getting inspired by ) at all those details! I especially like the cloth awning, furniture in the interiors and the little cart by the well (how did you build that...?). The photography is very good, I love the angle in the close-up of the soldiers! I'm however not sure if you got the white balance (or maybe color saturation?) right, especially the first picture has the tan looking more to the grayish side (I first thought the build was white and gray). The second last picture however has the tan looking just right, maybe it has something about that you were using a white background then?
  14. Feels so good to be back building, thanks Ecc for this challenge! Here's a WIP snapshot/teaser from the ongoing trial-and-error fig posing going on at present. Some detailing on the ground is also still missing. I've also got a creature for cat B built, but its still missing some ground. Still a bit blocked on how to do the unexpected weather though, but I'll have to make a try because that tag is too sweet to not go for The solution is already built and photographed at least, but I'll have to leave that for last I think since it will conclude the small story arc in my builds for this challenge. A question however: Is it confirmed that the 3 free-build rule is only for non-GoH veterans, or do we all need to build an additional 3 free-builds during the challenge time?
  15. Nice interiors! I especially like the clothing merchant, that will be added to my HSS post I agree with the previous comment that the street is smoother than expected, some structure (for example log bricks or snoted tiles) or some dark tan would have improved it. But since it is a street built and maintained by wealthy merchants it's of course expected to have a much better finish than more rough parts of the city You're welcome! I'm happy to see Barqa fleshed out and the lore you have written fits very well into the bigger picture. Actually, my role as representative for Barqa is mostly to make sure that there is a certain level of coherence between the builds, anyone who makes a good effort are welcome to build in Barqa!
  16. Nice build overall and lovely small scenes like the fisherman It looks however like the overview shots have been damaged along the edges by the editing...?
  17. Excellent castle with an interesting color scheme! I like how sharp the contrast is between the snow/ice and the warmer parts
  18. Great introduction of your city, I absolutely love the feeling you convey in those closeup shots! Lots of nice details also.
  19. Excellent shape and unexpected colors! The flesh ground really looks good, glad I also ordered a bunch of plates in that color...need t try them sometime So NZ also got the bulk late this year...
  20. Nice slim head design and the small wings work well as wingtips
  21. Nice interior! I like the floor texture and the table a lot
  22. Nice creature and excellent landscaping! This might be the best part of this topic
  23. Lovely microscale build, I especially like the trees and the water wheel What's your setup when taking these pics...?
  24. Very nice scene with lovely landscaping that has a suitable level of detail That's a very elegant building for a woodcutter, de Gothia is indeed a generous ruler! The roof feels a bit unfinished however.
  25. You are very welcome to do so!
