  1. Every year more people are building better looking MOCs with smoother lines, more functions and better solutions. It is this ability to improve and re-create the concepts that make Lego building what it is to us fans.. If every model and MOC ever built were considered to be perfect by all there wouldn't be any point in trying to make other versions of the same thing. Just imagine.. Every official set ever released and not a single MOD to be made by anyone For me It is the lack of unanimous perfection that makes this hobby so perfect for so many people to enjoy..
  2. Well that is a pretty basic little fella.. Does it steer front and back do we think? Yes I'd say it does!
  3. Great work the colour looks really nice and the details are planned very well
  4. Well it's about 1 hour to go and it looks like you should win... CONGRATULATIONS rm8
  5. I have always wished for flagship road grader and dump truck sets. I would also like to see a concrete mixing truck. I realize that the mixing tank on the back would mean some special curved panels but I'm sure they can design some in such a way that they would have other uses for them.. Maybe a nice heavy duty steam roller too
  6. I have all three of the sets you mentioned and I was very happy with all of them. If I had to pick one as a start I'd say get a unimog 8110 it has more parts to play with than any other set it has power functions plus good selection of pneumatic parts and a heap of other goodies.. Most likely the crawler will be in production further into the future than the unimog too so you will have good time to get one later on.. Also the 9397 log truck isn't too bad for a bit less money it has some power functions parts and a nice gearbox to control everything.. Henry
  7. Hi guys. I have been thinking of buying an 8421 mobile crane. I always wanted this set but so far have not been able to get one. My question is.. I would prefer a new one or very close new one, but with new ones being such high prices how well do the RC motors last i.e What is the risk with buying this set second hand that the RC motor could be warn out? As it is an expensive item to replace.. I think I am happy otherwise that any other bits are cheap enough to replace if missing or not in good condition.. I would welcome some advice on this as I have never had an RC motor.. I realize there is a buy and sell section on this forum however I cannot post in there for some reason? If anyone knows how to make this happen I would be keen to know that as well for obvious reasons Regards- Henry
  8. Aaaah the old cushion on the couch test.... My favourite
  9. I like the idea of the manual playability as an alternative. Do you have any video of how quickly and smoothly your solution performs when mounted in the truck?
  10. What is that massive red contraption in your profile picture? It looks like an awesome design..
  11. Very nice job.. It works so well... I am impressed
  12. Awesome.. Thanks for the review. I think I will have to get one of these. It will take a while yet before we can get em in Australia for a good price.. grrr
  13. Alas I have been lazy and I have not made any instructions.. The model is still built & I do plan to make some before I pull it apart. Thanks :)

  15. My entry falls smack bang in the middle of all these entries in the gallery on the website but appears to have been overlooked for the poll. I hope you can put it on the next one I'd like to be included :)
  16. Perhaps this is old news I dunno but I found this link on ebay today for most of the 1H13 sets including the 42006. It suggests this set will be available from Dec 14th. I haven't seen it for sale anywhere else yet so I guess it could be the first chance to buy one.. See here.. http://www.ebay.com....#ht_1134wt_2161
  17. Here is the view I think is missing.. Most of the pics posted show the views from the top or the side.. It is difficult from them to understand properly the shape of the crawler and how the angle parts work into the design. A couple of the comments I had on the Lego site got me thinking and I realized that it might be hard to visualize the shape fully but I think this shot helps.. Does anyone know if I edit my entry images on the challenge gallery if it creates a new entry entirely or just updates the existing one keeping votes comments etc? Cheers Henry
  18. Thanks for the support and kind words guys.. @Zblj: Banana crawler haha if only I had the green parts to make a cucumber or zucchini version.
  19. Hi guys, I have finally finished my entry in the Technic challenge, You can check out my entry with all the pics and functions here.. http://technic.us.le...=latest&index=9 I built it in yellow. It is intended to be a jungle or desert explorer crawler. I also think it would look pretty awesome in white as a moon explorer crawler. Hope you all like it Henry
