Well I have just collected all the bits I need for a black vampire gt (except the 4 @ 19L black flex axles grr) so I was planning to use some of the pneumatic tube instead and see how it looks. The more recent blacker pneumatic tubing from Lego I hope will be a close enough match.. Not sure if I would be able to use colors that don't come standard in official sets though...hmmmmmm.

What does PTO stand for ?
rumpletump replied to kevman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I work in kitchen cabinet manufacturing and it stands for Push To Open, But I am sure that has nothing to do wit it -
Excellent work on the contest Jim, thanks for your time. Congrats to the winners the entries were high quality. I hope to enter the next contest I was moving house during this one just didn't have time.

Yeah I guess they might do that at the beach for a fast rescue.. I was thinking more about ones I have seen being towed around.. I think its a good entry

The quad Looks great.. The trailer is Awesome, beautiful design.. The jet ski looks a tab clumsy the lines and and angles are not as good as the rest.. If you have any time left to tweak it I think it could be improved and it would be nice for it to fit on the trailer the other way round. Great work as always though. :)

Lego Removal Tools
rumpletump replied to JM1971's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
In older sets lego used to include instructions on how to build some useful tools to pop out pins and undo other tricky sitations. I used the "T" shaped pin popper many times to get out the black pins they could be very tight in old sets like 8865. -
Generic Contest Discussion

How about best alternate model? It could be for a particular set but I realize we won't all have it....Or any 2013 set....Or it could be that you can use any set you like.. Or one of a handful of sets selected by the judges that we could choose from.. -
This topic reminds me of paul b's photos of your collection set-up.. But he has gone missing along with his weekly update pic of his collection.. My work space is non existent as I am selling my house but my new house will have a spare room just for my lego hobby so I am looking forward to getting a desk and setting it all up and doing some building again :) I might use this topic for inspiration I like your space Edwin

Good News for Aussie fans. My top 100 winners set arrived today and I am in Tasmania, So they should be well on the way.. Thanks for the votes people -
To be fair I find this topic quite interesting.. To see what numbers our fellow eurobrickers got. Far more so than what time you ordered your set when you got confirmation e-mail.. Is it shipped and all that other junk we have had the last few days. It would have been nice for rm8 to get the number 1 and the top 100 to all get the numbers as they finished in the list.. But since its all random I think its ok to wonder what numbers people get.
