MOC Halftrack

Awesome.. Nice level of details... I like the crank handle at the front  -
Great review Jim.. I have been sitting on the fence about if I will get this set for a while but I saw one built for the first time at a local brick show on the weekend. It definitely looks better in real life than any pics. I have decided to buy one

I like them both very much.. The black and orange looks awesome Was the putting the gearbox in the rear inspired at all by the 2015 concept chassis of NK?

For me the use of panels to fill the sides of the tail end of the plane is a welcome change to the open back ends of the 9396 and 42025. However I can appreciate your point

The Lights are they just for steering? perhaps both connected so you can use either? Pneumatic systemV2 it says on box btw

The bed is no doubt a mechanical lift of some kind you can see the function selector being used in the video and the battery box switch being reversed to lower it down again..

Ahhh the truck ..Well the outriggers go in and out quite fast.. Suspension..Fake engine.. It's a great set.. can't wait to see the pneumatics in action closer up...

I built this MOC very soon after madoca posted the photo instructions.. It is excellent. I splashed out for the red #3 connectors but could not afford the power function elements so I built it with a few mods.. Rear wheel drive V8 engine in the front HOG Steering New headlight pop-up mechanism No junk in the truck (battery box) I used only a small handful of extra parts and the exterior is completely unchanged. All bodywork, panels, positioning, angles and scale are identical to the original.

This is the best alternate for this set I have seen -
Yes that was my conclusion based on the picture, I thought the actual image in the book may be more clear than the posted image since one of the prelim images shows it as dark grey earlier
