I understand about the Chicago show but I certainly am not driving 2600 miles round trip just so I can show my MOCs especially since I don't know anyone there. All I'm saying is that accessibility seems to be really lacking for an event that from what I understand is to get more people involved in building with Lego.

Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Mike S replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
After the debacle that was the resistance against the Desert King , even though he was not directly involved in the war, Masa has formally withdrawn from politics and has taken up the trade of monster hunter. While he harbors a strong dislike for the Desert King, he realizes that it is futile and quite boring for him to fight wave after wave of zombies... So he now travels the lands seeking to help any village or hamlet that is plagued by monsters. -

Haha! Well played! I tried both email and Facebook. I didn't really expect any response from Facebook as I saw a lot of spam, perhaps their email is spammed as well. LUG activity also seemed to be on the decline during the time I tried to join as well, which is why I posted here. Perhaps someone in the know can help me out to what my options are. Is GFLUG my only option? Also why is the only BrickWorld that I have access to is "This is not an AFOL convention. Displays are by invitation only."?

Please transfer 63 credits to NuckElBerg. Thank you!

Thanks for the replies. GFLUG is the only LUG I would have any chance at having access to but it seems to be mostly a train LUG with limited activity other than being at all the Lego conventions across the US. I was thinking about participating in Brickworld Tampa as it is the closest Lego convention but then I discovered the following: "This is not an AFOL convention. Displays are by invitation only." Edit: I guess I just have to move to Canada if I want to get invited... [Joke] I just realized you both were from Canada.

Every now and then I come across a reference to LUG benefits and I remember what I am missing out on. However I have come to the conclusion that I evidently not qualify for a LUG. I tried contacting the LUG nearest me three times with no response. Then I heard there were online LUGs but further investigation showed that it was invitation only. Since I have never been invited and neither did the local LUG seem interested in me joining as I never heard back from them, I assume that I do not meet the qualifications. However it would be nice to know what qualifications I lack and whether joining a LUG is something that might be possible for me in the future...

I kind of like that idea!

[K-C04] 321 Terrestrial Junction, Tchalinko, Aeristus

Thanks for the kind comments everyone! Thanks! What part of the inside did you want to see? There isn't much in there except a path that goes around the elevator in the center and the irrigation and power station in the back, On either side there is also a small area where plants are grown. Kind of hard to get a good shot of the inside with the plants attached to the the underside of the dome. -
The black flora is brilliantly done! Great build!

Its like watching a movie when you keep telling the characters to look behind them.... I actually think the build turned out pretty good, although it does look like it isn't quite finished. I like the design of the Kawashita fort and the purple leaves with black trunks... you probably will be seeing something like that from me in the future!

Nice build and continuation of the landscape from your last build!

Really nice builds! I am surprised however that you Octan folks are so technologically backwards that you still read paper books. At Kawashita, everything is digital and sometimes we don't have to waste the time to even read at all...

I always love all the little details you put into your builds and this one is no exception. And Sal is most definitely one of my favorite characters here in AG... I would recommend him working with Dr Anna Toxita as he might learn some things about getting experiments to actually work, but in interest of Kawashita, I think that might be a really, really bad idea. Anyway, great build and story!

Neat build! Very unique design! Love it!

Great builds and story! Neat idea to photograph Lady Kianna's decent with the bike. The speakeasy was also a nice addition...

At first I was thinking that it was quite an odd looking ship until I realized those rings spun around. Pure awesomeness!
