  1. I'm a fan of this ship!
  2. I don't really think this works very well for minifig scale. Even scaling down with the use of plates for sails, I still prefer fabric for minifig scale. In my opinion, brick built sails only look good on massive ships that your average EB user won't have the bricks for. I consider this more of a professional technique for a model that would be put on long term display in a public venue.
  3. My son asked when these minifigs were coming out.... Nice work!
  4. well that isn't a mon.... Back on topic, surprisingly the only fig I was not able to find was the Serenader... and I felt all the bags in the case.
  5. Well if I lived near a Lego store that did that, I wouldn't buy anywhere else. Unfortunately I do not live near a Lego store and the one that is closest to me (two hours drive each way) does not do that. So for the last few series, I've been getting my CMFs at TRU usually on Thursdays to get the extra 10%.
  6. Are you saying that the store employees felt through a box or two of CMF's and separated them so you could just walk in and buy the fig you wanted? Isn't that against Lego policy of blind bags?
  7. No, I just was stating my disappointment with the new piece. It actually looks good in other's pics, but in hand, I was underwhelmed unlike the seagull which I thought was fantastic. Anyway, even if you were, a publicly posted work is fair game for criticism. Everyone has their own opinion and criticism is part of expressing it.
  8. I thought about using the red gargoyle headpiece as well but since I don't have it, I stuck with the CMF headpiece. As far as the expression, I don't know why, but I thought it was quite humorous that the tongue is sticking out like in the kid costume version.....
  9. Yes, you are correct. The head comes from set 3837: Monster 4. Edit: Btw, you can get both the torso and legs in set 853516 Monsters army building pack.
  10. Yes I used the friends penguin because at least the eyes looked alive. The eye printing on the CMF penguin may have been misprinted as it looked more like a lifeless stuffed animal and I don't like the stud on the back. As all Lego minifigs are cartoonish, I do not think the friends penguins contrast as much as some of the other friend's animals.
  11. Here are a few of my modified Series 16 figures. Some of obvious modifications are putting the hikers backpack on the wildlife photographer and switching out the Cyborg's aqua colored hips for black. The pirate, Arabian knight, and rogue all had similar colored pieces that were interchangeable.
  12. I have the fig. I don't think it is a watch but some kind of wrist gadget... maybe a tracking device?
  13. Does the warning system track who added the points?
  14. I would love to see the statistics on this... I wonder what the average ratio is of warning level to post count is. Do the warning levels ever get reset? I also wonder what my warning level is at?
  15. Awesome job with both the build and story!
  16. Another minor correction needed. I Bregir and I purchased a battalion together with me making the purchase and then him transferring DBs to me for 1 company. Seems as if I am still listed as owner of the complete battalion instead of 2 companies. Thanks!
  17. Nice layout but normally MRCA builds are posted after MRCA results.
  18. Nice build! The bottom portion of the wall that is above ground is perfect!
  19. This is really great! Love the color integration! Reminds me a bit of Witcher 3's final DLC.
  20. You can close this immediately as I won't have any time to build until Sunday. I could have built last Sunday but I thought the deadline was already past.
  21. Nice build! I like that you incorporated different colors in the environment like the two toned cliffs and sand!
  22. I'll echo this... Excellent posing with Ensign David!
  23. The vegetation is stunning! Nice work!
