I think we need to have one member from each faction that will volunteer to be the cartographer of their faction's maps. Then when each faction gets a new island, the detailed maps get distributed to that member who will then add the general geographical features while I would suggest that Ska focus on the NPC islands. As it is now with the third region of maps released, with so many islands needing geographical features added, I think the workload is too big for any one person that has real life responsibilities. I can continue producing Corrington's maps and I can distribute the basic detailed maps of the Prio Sea region that I have without any geographical features, like the La Sombra map, to the other factions.

I will be posting the La Sombra Map here in a few minutes. As far as the islands in question, I believe they are the additions at the far south of Ska's La Isla de Medio map. Detailed maps look a lot different than the region maps. Edit: here it is:

I think the problem with the Kraken is not it being an NPC but that because from my understanding BoBS was established to be more realistic than fantasy, the Kraken shouldn't be anything more than an unsubstantiated rumor. I think the Kraken is fun to read about in the MRCA results, but I think its fun is in its mystery and being able to chalk its existence up to terrified sailors "seeing" things. That being said, I have always been a proponent of NPC antagonists rather than player faction vs player faction. With life being as unpredictable as it is, faction participation is highly sporadic making a balanced playing field next to impossible to maintain.

Book II Challenge V Prelude: The Desert Tournament
Mike S replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
Well the news network has been disrupted in Kaliphlin but I had heard that the bearded ladies of the north had sent the algus packing back north. As far as Raavage being fanned by palm leaves at Eastgate, well perhaps those magic mushroom in Nocturnus are in bloom and giving grand delusions. If the desert king is hated in kaliphlin how much more Raavage should he try to crown himself lord of kaliphlin. perhaps if Raavage wants to inspire some action against himself, he should ally himself with the desert king and renew the war against the kaliphlin resistance. -
Book II Challenge V Prelude: The Desert Tournament
Mike S replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
That being said, I also doubt that after the Kaliphlin civil war, either the high counsel or ulandus have any interest in another war, much less in nocturnus whether for or against the spire. And because of nocturnus meddling in kaliphlin affairs, certain kaliphlin members can quite care less now who rules nocturnus as long as they remain in nocturnus. -
After ten months of renovations, Fort Arlin was once again on the verge of being fully staffed and gunned. With rumors that the Queen would be visiting the colony islands, Aiden Coyle payed a visit to the fort to make sure the fort was prepared for a royal visit.

The Empire of Corrington: Sign-up and Discussion
Mike S replied to SkaForHire's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
That should be Wolfhaven... In other news I've been having trouble with Firefox and Chrome giving my laptop the blue screen of death so have been using only Microsoft Edge which seems immune to the problem. However it will let me visit every page of Eurobricks except for BoBS which it always declares is experiencing difficulty. So I'm back in Firefox posting this hoping my computer doesn't crash again. Ska sent me the map originals but ironically as soon as I received them, life's pace picked back up and I've yet to finish another island. I'm out of town this weekend and with the Holidays just around the corner, progress on them is not looking too bright until after the new year. One bright speck on the horizon is however that Fort Arlin is practically finished just needing a few final touches and a place to display it for a photo shoot. 80 x 80 studs is somewhat challenging to move around....- 897 replies

I will post the detailed maps for the challenge 2 islands once Skaforhire finds the time to convert the original fractal terrains and send them to me for placing the geographical features and other landmarks. I could use the ones we have from the minimap but the originals are a lot more detailed in shape so I think it is best to wait for them. In the meantime, I have updated the Nellisa and Cocovia maps on my Flickr account and can work on another Sea of thieves island tonight. Any suggestions?

Nellisa: I wasn't sure about all the locations you had marked. I'm assuming Goncho and Montario are native towns. I can mark roads but I'm not clear on their locations.

Those links are perfectly what I need for each island. I'll probably do Nellisa next then.
