I did notice that the flags ended up being different sizes when I scale the islands to comparative size on the sample map so I'm going to make a template for Island name and ownership info. So when I do that I will make the flags larger so that they are visible on when the map is zoomed out.

Nice work on both the MOC and the scroll!

Not sure if you noticed, but I planned on using the colored flags to identify ownership. What do you think? World map is going to stay colored for sure but personally I find the single color island maps more appealing.

And so I thought. I've realized that I'm actually more productive in the pirate theme as my ideas tend to be on a smaller scale than in castle or space themes. I think I've actually come to think of the BoBS forum as my eurobricks home. Now let's just see how long my interest holds until I get swept into another theme again.?

Back to the map topic, I'm setting up individual island maps that I can easily add landmarks to. Each individual island map will be added to a larger map of all the islands of the Sea of Thieves and the Prio Sea. Here is the island map of Cocovia:

Thanks! I thought so but I had never seen the names confirmed in the Eslandola thread. So now just waiting on the Sea Rats now. I'm curious how they decide on names when they use darts to decide on which islands to pick....

I honestly feel for you Eslandolans, but I also think that you took a big risk setting up on an island you did not claim legally. If it were not for the fact that leadership seem to have something planned for this island, since Prio has a chance at rebelling against Mardier, I personally would think that you guys should at least get a chance to battle Mardier over this island as well. The only difference is that I doubt Eslandola will get the international support that Prio has since Eslandola is invading instead of trying to gain independence. Looks like both Eslandola's leadership has gotten you all in quite a mess, the trade companies starting a war with Mardier and Eslandola's king trying to start a war with Oleon as well.... I think the first error here was thinking that Eslandola could take on another NPC nation. This, if allowed, could have story breaking consequences as all the other player nations picked NPC nations to battle. I always thought that BoBS was more about exploration than about all out world war.

From what I understand, the world map is already made. We are just discovering it one tiny section at a time. There is a continent somewhere to the east, but who knows it might just be the western coast of our mainland. However, Corrington scientists have determined that the world is actually quite large, so according to their geographical calculations, they expect to find an undiscovered continent to the east. The only question is whether our ships can stay at sea long enough to reach it.

Well they both formerly from Oleon. Perhaps Meloche is a distant cousin or uncle and it could explain the Coyle family's sudden fall from grace in Oleon... haha. Sounds like you are doing what I did with the fort. I started with a small fort that housed a single cannon and after looking at it a bit I thought it was too small so I ordered a whole box full of those grey wall bricks.- 897 replies
