  1. Great to see another Varlyrio build! Its been so long I already forgot how to spell it... Which reminds me that I miss MikeyB's builds... But back to the build, love that bridge design and I really like the simplicity of that wagon...
  2. Well, I can't help you there because I'm totally biased for... well... the red team. But Bregir summed up the differences perfectly.
  3. Nice build with lots of great details! My favorite part has to be your press...
  4. Hilarious story! I especially like the scene where the cannon house goes through the gate!
  5. Thanks! The palms are just variations of my old masa palm. I can try to disassemble one side so you can see the pieces used. Oh and I can't remember how long it took to build the cliff since it has been so long since I built it, but I don't think it took too long... I honestly have always been more in awe of the classic build style of using the old brick style cliffs than the newer sloped brick style with one exception: Mass Editor pulls off the sloped brick style with perfection. Thank you! Thanks! Just trying to revisit bits of my previous story...
  6. The guard enters the queen's meeting gallery a second time. "A letter, your majesty, bearing the seal of the minister of intelligence," he presents the letter with a bow. "My, my, this is certainly turning out to be quite an eventful day," the Queen said taking the letter. She opens and reads it. "Your majesty, it is my hope that this letter reaches you in time. As you have instructed me to be your eyes in the new colonies, I have been watching the key players in the colonies closely. It was with great surprise when his Lordship Viscount Pennington crossed my path for you had not informed me that he was traveling to the colonies. I am not sure what game he is playing, but I aim to find out. I do not mean to worry your majesty, but ever since his Lordship Viscount Pennington's arrival in the colonies, none of my messages to Admiral Woodbrose have been able to be delivered to him. In other words, it seems he has gone missing. I have not yet been able to discover whether his Lordship Viscount Pennington has anything to do with his disappearance but I do not believe in coincidences. In the meantime all goes as planned howbeit a few minor obstacles. Consul Montoya has performed his duties admirably. While initially his policies were a bit too "progressive", he has since settled into his role with "perfect finesse". There is a small matter of certain Captain Mesabi that has a slight possibility of complicating your plans but I have directed him to your little side venture in Serentia so I hope to turn him into an asset rather than a liability. Signed, M
  7. For some reason I really like that pirate ship...
  8. The log of Governor Aiden Coyle. 30th June 617: Vernon Cloggs, while in my employment, found two mining areas of potential north of Stormhaven; one, a stretch along the banks of the Marion River that he said was brimming with gold and the second inland, in a region of rocky hills and pits. Tutut calls the pits ts'onot. Erosion has washed away the loose sediment and soil leaving large bare walls of rock for my men to cut. I have begun my efforts there and set up a stone quarry as I find it imperative to build a stronger foundation for our little town of Stormhaven. Even with the rock bared from soil, it is hard labor, so I make sure the crews of former criminals are rotated between laboring and guarding. I do not have my soldiers guard them anymore but instead seek to instill in them a sense of self worth by giving them the freedom to escape. Each crew elects their own foreman who reports directly to me and I hope that by treating them with the respect and decency of fellow human beings as well as paying them ample wages for their labor, that they will in turn become law abiding citizens as their neighbors in Stormhaven. It is a precarious task as I must continually monitor the disposition of the crews so as to keep their spirits high so that they are not tempted to fall back into their old ways. In any event all goes well and my supply of stone increases with each passing day. END OF ENTRY
  9. Nicely done!
  10. I must say now this is an entertaining read...
  11. A very unique and outstanding build. At this rate King's Harbour is destined to be the new capitol of Corrington.
  12. I think I'm on somewhat the same page as you here. I say somewhat because I can easily ignore the "trashtalking". However that being said neither does it give me any incentive to build collaboratively with anyone. It is a said state of game if the only thing that bring excitement to the game is war.
  13. Always a pleasure to look at your new designs....
  14. Nicely designed villa and a second for designing it with your daughter in mind.
  15. I'm actually quite the opposite. The reason why I like minifigs to begin with is because they are representative of untold stories. The non-licensed minifigs can mostly be switched around to make even more minifigs whereas the licensed minifigs are usually not as adaptable. I guess it comes down to either being a creative type or just a collector since I use my minifigs more as brainstorming props and never display them without a brick built environment.
  16. I think this probably sets some kind of record for several categories! Awesome job!
  17. Yes, it would be totally up to you how you want to handle Bishop Sheyer and the Barqan temple. Lord Kral is still friendly with the High Council but he holds an eternal grudge against all of Nocturnus as he feels the resistance stabbed Kaliphlin in the back when they supported the desert king destroying both the High Council and Ulandus and will never again ally with anyone from Nocturnus. He never liked the Spire so he isn't backing them either and he hopes that both sides destroy each other. So it basically comes down to how you want the story of your characters' alliances to play out. Can you find a way to ally with both or must you choose between Lord Kral, a Kaliphlinian or the Nocturnus Resistance?
  18. Lord Kral has not ordered a withdrawal but his feud with the Nocturnus Resistance has created a problem for the leadership of the various temples outside of Gorr. I imagine many of them have claimed independence from Blackrock/Aden's Gate to avoid conflict with local authorities. There has been controversy with Lord Kral's orders ever since Bishop Jamon's death and his rise to power. However even if a local temple has claimed independence, it is unknown if it still maintains ties with Blackrock or even how strong those ties still are. Lord Kral understands the predicament the various temple leadership are in and while publicly berating the cowardice of the temples that have declared independence it is quite possible that the relations between them are not as severed as it may seem... Lord Kral still has gold and the temples have good intelligence on local affairs.
  19. Pretty sure that was another April Fools day joke....
