VW Camper Funicular Railway My first attempt was worse than rubbish, but as I have no shame here's a link for your ridicule.. http://www.flickr.com/photos/eurotrash48903/9673255775/in/photostream/ -
Welcome to the forums evweb! What themes do you like in Lego?, and, where in Italy are you from?

What a busy looking town you've got there Melbs. I thought how can he build a three story home for $10? Then I took a closer look at the building - very funny, well done...

Not true! I like the clean lines of your futuristic Camper Van... -
That pretty much describes the trajectory that took me into the Dark Ages back in 1998 - only I ended up going through two countries. Throughout that time I kept only my 9V Train sets and tracks and everything else (Technic, Pirates, etc.) was passed on to others. Those Train sets remained in their storage boxes until 2011 and I still strongly remember the joy of rediscovering them as I emerged from the dark times. My advice is if you can keep your collection together then do it, otherwise triage it into those sets that you need to keep and those that others can enjoy. We'll keep a light on for you here in the forums...

I found a couple last year on BL to include in the packing and crating area of my Brewery (fourth and fifth picture down) http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=79480 There's a couple of BL stores in Belgium where they're still available at a 'reasonable' price.

Sounds like a fantastic set idea..... but maybe a name change from Heartlake City to Raccoon City would be an improvement.

There's some interesting creations being entered. I was struggling with my next one and the results of a quick survey of the household was a universal thumbs down so back to the drawing board for me... What a great competition - thanks organizers! -
I don't buy a lot of sets, but I do MOC a lot (mainly Modulars and City vehicles) and they're probably all heavily over-engineered with internal structure to provide the support and strength they need. Personally. I just can't see me glueing bricks together - my MOCs aren't built to last more than a month or two, but try it. If it works then great. If not (and hot water doesn't remove the glue) then a quick BL order can restore your set to it's original condition. So I don't think you've got a lot to lose - and you may gain some stability-induced sanity as a result!

Contest Contest: Pimp My Camper! Entry Thread

'Do you feel the need for speed?' Camper These are all great entries, but I kind of think that they're missing something. And that something is SPEED and OUT OF CONTROL-ness and DESTRUCTION. Okay so that's three things, but never mind - I've just built a Chima Speedorz powered VW Camper Van. I had to build a couple of false panels to fit the Speedor and leave a hole in the roof for the ripcord... And here's the underside... with it's single wheel! But "How does it handle Eurotrash?" I hear you say. Don't worry there's video proof... http://www.flickr.co...903/9659714528/ This was about the fifteenth take - in all the others the VW drove off - the thing doesn't do straight lines. Oh, yeah this is built for speed.... (but not steering, or robustness) -

Very effective rockwork and lighting! Good luck in the challenge...

It looks really good and I can imagine a structure that had many of these supporting a roof would look fantastic - I'm just not sure how it'd handle bearing a load!
