  1. Welcome, N7LEGO. Great that you picked up building with LEGO, It can be an addictive and wonderful hobby.
  2. I like how you made so many different versions, including a story of each model. Overall, very imiginative, even It's based on an existing model. The LL-924 Blacktron needs some more yellow, other than the transparent yellow parts.
  3. 4) Mr Good and Evil Entry (Build by Yatkuu) - 2 15) Fortune Teller Entry (Build by genecyst) - 1
  4. 14) Conquistador Entry (Build by vecchiasignoraceppo) - 1 point 18) Alien Villainess Entry (Build by Minoton) - 1 point 24) Businessman Entry (Build by Darkblane) - 1 point
  5. 2) Grandma's Visitor Entry (Build by sgeureka) - 2 points 7) Hippie Entry (Build by vecchiasignoraceppo) - 1 point
  6. Someone had to build the Prancing Pony room and yes, I do like your cobbletoned walls. I remember this part from the book and I like how you put Aragorn in the corner behind the door with his pipe. I can imagine that he's not much visible with the lights dimmed, scaring the inn master later. I realised that It's the inn's mainroom instead of the room of the Hobbit's, my bad. :)
  7. A great review of a great set. I'm tempting to buy this.
  8. I have the same problem, Orthanc is going to be a hard fit as well. I'm really looking forward to Orthanc with It's design and 26 black gothic arches...
  9. Thank you for the insightful review, Rufus. It was very enjoyable to read an watch the comparissions with the first edition. I only don't understand why TLG does'nt offer a printed windscreen instead of (2) poorly transparent frosted stickers for such an iconic set.
  10. Most LEGO products are quite steep in price already in Europe. Adding a higher tax rate (21%) in the Netherlands makes some expensive sets not very likely to buy. I'm speaking about the recent UCS X-Wing that goes for € 229,95 which TLG may keep. But I feel sorry for the FOLs from Australia, New Zealand, China, etc. Whining aside, I'm buying at least not too many sets because of the high prices, so I have more space in my home left.
  11. I like how you made the cashier desk, using windscreen panels. Overall a great building.
  12. Great to see some bigger scale locations for a change and the realism of existing kitchen utilities and architecture makes It even better!
  13. Nice vignette and great use of the 'reflection'.
  14. While I don't collect LEGO City, I really like the overall quality of the 2013 summer line. Town Square looks like a great starters set for any kind of FOL that wants to start building cities.
  15. I think they're pretty awesome.
  16. I don't doubt TLG at all. If the second wave was the last wave, there would be Gondor themed sets. And I'm a fan as well. Perhaps a very optimistic one, but a fan.
  17. I got to agree with Clone O'Patra here. What I recently like of TLG, is that the Police and Fire Fighters subthemes from City are pretty much different and IMO more fun then their older released brethern.
  18. I'm eagerly waiting for the stagecoatch review and I hope It will be worth the price. I think the price is pretty steep at the moment.
  19. I think It's an awesome display for anything Hero like. My only suggestion would be to photograph on a single coloured background (like white or blue), proper lighting for photography and with only the model as a focus. This way you will get more responses and views.
  20. Great selection of minifigures and very usuable parts. The Rev. Soldier, Bumblebee Girl, Medusa and Grandpa are my favourites of this series for now. I can't wait to get them.
  21. Cool submarine, I like the hammock and umbrella opening as the little details.
  22. I get the impression some of you guys are too eager to follow every hour of every day. Add the speculating that goes on in circles, resulting on overall dissapointness, untill the actual thing gets released. I mean, the upcoming LotR line is not yet released and there are people who already think It's a failure because It has a "pirate looking ship" and nothing Gondor like. We had Helmsdeep almost a year ago and what's wrong with the Blackgates of Mordor as a "castle battle" set, because It's just a gate?
  23. If I want to build a MOC, but an official LEGO model I own that has most of the parts I need, It gets taking apart. But not always, because It depends If I like the model or not. I also take models apart when I don't have enough display space for other models I'd like to build. So, time will tell.
  24. 1. SalvoBrick - 1 3. rriggs - 1 4. AussieBJ - 1 7. Zed_43 - 2
  25. Welcome, Elrond. I share your thoughts about the quality of the licensed themes. They are mostly very good and versatile sets for a wide range of LEGO builders.
