  1. From my point of view, you do have a weird obsession of jumping at Guyon every chance you get. I might not agree with Guyon's opinions, but he's never come across as a jerk or attacking someone just for the sake of it, nor does he often attack people when they're asking for it, he simply retorts with facts or his own knowledge/opinion. All I've seen of you is literally witch hunting him and trying to call him out on things unjustifiably. If you disagree with something he says, report it to a mod and let them decide and move on. Otherwise, back off him.
  2. I had 6081 as a kid, and absolutely loved it! I played with it so much, the little trapdoor feature on the tower, the drawbridge, the little prison bit, the little pit infront of the prison door, the knights, and the ghost... As a kid of back then, this set was full of hours of fun of imaginary playing and attacking/defending and ghost haunting. I still have the ghost somewhere :)
  3. I learned that lesson a few months ago, although after lots of pestering I finally got my order through. Wasn't with lego, but something else that was being sold by a third party that was a pre-order item and not due for release for 5 Mon ths. I missed the window on the official site, but this eBay seller had good feedback. Anyway, release date came and went, no item. PayPal protection period had gone and I'm panicking thinking I'm about to lose my money for nothing, stupid me! (was about £45 so not as bad). After a few false tracking numbers, I finally got a correct one and the correct item. But lesson learned, this loophole will go unchanged, so anything pre-order, do so at your own risk.
  4. Good call on #9, that makes, sense! 10, 11 and 12 are interesting takes from the wording, can't fault you there either!
  5. Ahhhh thanks for that! Daffy duck was his common sidekick so he has to be number 8 then! (updated my guesses to reflect Lego-Freak's info)
  6. 1 - bugs 2 - lola 3 - Sylvester (perhaps with mini tweety in baby yoda sized fig? 4 - pepe lepew 5 - Penelope pussy cat (is a she, and typically where one is seen, the other is nearby) 6 - marvin 7 - porky pig 8 - daffy duck 9 - taz 10 - roadrunner 11 - wile- And he will remain such-because he never catches roadrunner to eat him 12 - speedy gonzales Regarding 3, I'd typically have chosen either one of them, and then the other would be number 4. But the #5 comment means a female is with them (well, I assume the comment relates to #4). Tweety pie is male so it can't be Sylvester as #4. Then, sylvester+tweety/roadrunner+wile both fits in 10 and 11. Thing is, I can't see them not doing both of those pairs... Which means I must be wrong in pepe lepew and penelope as they're probably on the bottom end of the scale of popularity (assuming). But neither RR+W/TP+S fit in the 4 and 5 comment... Damn!
  7. Thanks... dammit, somehow missed that :s
  8. nvm... Oh.... they may be fake
  9. I second wd40. Works a treat, just make sure you're outside or well ventilated. Bit of kitchen towel, spray it on the lego and kitchen towel, rub it on the sticky area, spray a little more, keep rubbing and it'll come off.
  10. But how on earth can it have gotten that far, for them to take a good look at it and go 'uhhhmmmm.... Naw. Doesn't really fit with the direction TLG wants city to go....' I mean, don't their design department have to answer to someone? Doesn't the pre-production process department have to answer to someone? Doesn't the box design department have to answer to someone? Literally, how can it get that far, to finally have them say no?? I'm not fussed on the set itself, no loss for me... It just kinda beggers me like how that kinda thing gets that far before they decide to pull the plug...
  11. Finally over 98% of parts ordered. I hit 92% and was struggling to find a reasonably priced store that had the rest of the pieces. I'd have ended up making many small orders that would have added a daft amount in postage/additional costs... I went to the PaB on their website, oh what a relief!! I also used their replacement part service as that had more parts that weren't listed in their PaB service. Across both of those, I am now only 3 lots short of 100% (1 of them being 2 more light bricks which I think I have somewhere, one being the 1x1 clips which I want to use the stronger thicker clips than the thin ones, and the last being dark grey studs on top-bottom tile thing). Most of my lego is in the loft, unsorted, in multiple boxes, and difficult to get to as well as causing either an achey back or achey legs depending how I crouch) But, I wish I'd have spent hours before hitting 90% because I found I had more pieces that I knew I'd have needed if not already ordered... Anyway. My PaB order from TLG relevant to the razorcrest cost around £40. Back on BrickLink I'd already hit £70 and still needed more. While TLG's PaB can appear expensive, if you're really looking to save money, I'd highly recommend looking there sooner and compare the average price to TLG's because a lot of the newer parts are a fair bit more expensive on BL, as are a lot of the random usual pieces. I dread to think how much I could have saved if I'd done this sooner (forgot hol0511 specified certain parts too!! Damned memory...)
  12. If you're that worried about them, put them in a pillow case, washing machine them, hang them out to dry for 7 days and crack on
  13. I would take it as pure assumption and not solid fact until something solid comes along. It'd be daft of them to simply delete a character purely because of an actress. Someone else can play that character if they decided to go that way, which would make irrelevant any 'removal' of the actors character. The minifig represents the character, not the actor.
  14. These are my exact thoughts. Would a sw cmf be a great thing? Potentially. Given the typical method of character inclusion and drop down to 12 figs a series, that they'd likely include the main characters, thus reducing capability for where the cmf, I feel, would truly glow, in releasing the characters/variations not yet done. Chewie, and Vader should be a one and done. Give him his death face under the helmet, the 2 piece mould, arm printing, dual moulded black legs (because someone somewhere will complain he doesn't have dual moulded legs). Luke, Han, leia. That leaves a good 7 left for any other star wars. Maybe if they kept it to o/t for the first wave, then p/t second wave, s/t third wave, anything else onwards, it could work, but while the fig choices would make some happy, you can bet they'd get it wrong elsewhere and many will be unhappy. Left out a specific character from the o/t? Well you won't be seeing it for a good few years because of the proceeding wave themes/non sw themes. In theory it's good. Practically, I'd rather take my chances in a minefield.
  15. What timezone is that set for? Australian time or somewhere else? Interesting information though!
  16. Mine had posable legs. But required at least a non glossy, preferably carpet, or cloth surface to sustain that pose. Brickplumbers (who's mine was based on but varied considerably) also had posable legs (using the same pieces) and his worked fine as far as I'm aware. While possible, I'd say its not essential. Most atat's had their legs in one of 2 poses. Something that big, you certainly won't be playing with it 'walking it'. What would be nice is how it could be displayed. It'd be awesome if there were in fact 2 methods of display to which the legs were designed to be situated as. So either, stood up as though walking, or, 'pop them out' of their shoulder joint, tip the atat forward onto its head and pop the legs back in so it's like the hoth crashed one. That'd be an awesome little surprise!
  17. It is what it is. TLG are going to design and produce for the most part what they feel is relevant and what they feel sells. Yes there are 7billion people on the planet. But not all 7 billion live in the first world and can afford lego. Not all of those left will care about lego. Not all of those that are left from that will be bothered. It simply will not happen that enough people would feel that strongly and make a difference to TLG and prevent them from trying to keep relevant. Therefore, it is what it is. Us individuals (because essentially, that's all our value is, we simply aren't a big enough collective with the same mindset and goals) just have to go with the flow of what happens.
  18. Things come and go, companies come along and do good, then change/get with the times/adapt etc. At some point, they may just well end up closing up for good. It happens. Nothing lasts forever. Except lockdown in the uk.... Even I, who dislike TLG partnering off their licence to other companies for gimmicky stuff, who thinks they're wasting their time trying out the ar stuff/Mario stuff know they're going nowhere (in a sense of not going under) and bricks will be their predominant feature of sales for as long as they keep going. I might not like it, but others do, and that's fine, others are allowed to enjoy different things from the same company. Even if it means they stop doing things that I like. It's been a good ride and I'll just enjoy what I've got, and perhaps move onto other things. I don't expect them to sell what pleases me for the rest of my life that's for sure. TLG are trying to keep relevant, because, they're a business. It's how they survive. I wont be keeping relevant, because I hate a lot of new gimmicky things, and apps like tiktok and the negative side of modern technology and how its made people want things/an amazing life without having to do anything to earn it and how companies want as much information about you as possible. It is what it is. One thing I've learned is, you cant stop life and time from continuing. You can only choose which parts of it you choose to be a part of and let into your life.
  19. Haha so it's still technically accurate to the source material even with bits missing Soon as I finish work, I'll be placing my first orders. Looking forward to building this one!
  20. Ahh. That makes sense. Appreciated! Excellent, thank you :) On another note, back in mid Feb I'd managed to place a backorder with TLG for the 75292 which said 9th of March was when they'd be available. 13th March I get an email stating my payment authorisation had expired and I had to contact them to update/renew it. They only take payment when they are ready to ship the item (so they've said many times) so they must have had one ready. But.... I contact them to update payment yesterday as it kept slipping my mind due to a busy past week, and they said it'd be back in stock to ship by the 26th March, which means if I did have one assigned to me, it got sent on to someone else... So the waiting starts again :( Meanwhile on the 3rd Feb, I'd placed a backorder for one for my gf's birthday on amazon. 24th Feb I received it no problems....
  21. If you don't mind me asking, what pieces did you order from PaB? Were they that much cheaper than BL?
  22. Sure they chose the options. But they likely had rough prototype designs for all 3. Sure they might have had an idea, but they'd never have absolutely known. If I'm honest, I'd have put nebulon b as the most likely candidate to win given the vocal majority here seem to be all about it for some reason; given it looks more like a weapon/scythe someone would hold and use to bash someone with than a spaceship and doesn't seem to me to have any semblance of thought to the design purpose of the shape other than a big bulk of engines on one end, a stick, and a large shelf stack on the other. We know the pitfalls of the 501st pack, but we also know the true drive of it, and I can't blame TLG for milking it with larger than necessary builds to justify a higher price for 4 figs we all wanted. You're not crazy, you just have your own likes and dislikes is all
