  1. Brikkyy13 pretty much summed up my situation. I watched the clone wars series, saw the trailers and look forward to the new series. Didn't much notice the lack of crosshair, which could easily be explained out by them protecting a plot or spoiler (as is true), which could be anything. He might have died, or got injured, or sent off on some secret mission or anything.... Absolutely anything. I'm not heavily invested in the characters outside of the clone wars shows (comics or random other stuff), have a semi-crap memory so while I remember their cool helmets, I don't remember the rest of their outfits. To which point; The only pic I can find doesn't show detail enough to clearly define he has a black imperial officer uniform. It's just dark. Similar to the rest (apart from the one on the left). Additionally, the lower 2 figs aren't even aiming at each other, they're clearly shooting somewhere infront of each other. Only the top left one looks like he's shooting at crosshair, and that could easily be forgiven for simply being adding in shooting action graphic visuals seeing as the other 2 are just stood there, and the bottom 2 aren't clearly aimed directly at each other but potentially at off screen enemies. So, nope, the box art doesnt clearly show it. Unless, there's a high res out there that shows the uniform. Look, I get it... At some point, the bad batch lego set would spoil it at some point, singlehandedly by the imperial uniformed crosshair, that once high res images come out would give *something* away. Who's not to say he's simply gone under cover? We get plenty of figs in star wars of characters in undercover... Leia Boushh, Han in stormtroopers, luke in stormtrooper outfit... A BadBatch character in imperial uniform doesn't spell 'traitor'. Given their mission scopes, one could easily assume at some point they go undercover and have to wear other uniforms.... But it's the attitude of righteousness some people feel to go spell everything out, referencing non lego things as justification when, I, and other people, don't look at anything outside of lego.... Back on topic, If this forge rumour is true, I'm dead set looking forward to how they'll do the armourer. Additionally, I fully agree with @Alex_South, the fact they've included all bad batch figures is an immensely great effort compared to the splitting up of the knights of ren... One set and you have all the characters you need to carry out any action scene with them all in it? That's a win for the fans. The level of detail of the helmets looks to be impressive. The shuttle, I think once you look past the cockpit piece, is actually a pretty decent set. It's certainly one I'll probably end up getting, which considering all that interested me previously was the 501st and aat sets, is a nice change.
  2. Speak for yourself, I knew nothing of it until people mentioned it here. Where its not necessary to mention it. Therefore, not everyone knew about it. But good people and their good considerate nature towards other people never fail to do their bit for fandom and inform those lesser informed people to keep them up to speed whether they want to or not....
  3. Couldn't agree more with everything you said. Literally, like you're in my mind Except.... What is this movie?? First I've heard about any movie! (I don't keep up to date with Nintendo stuff like I do with certain lego themes)
  4. BF shields currently available, no torsos, heads or legs though.
  5. Literally in the same boat. Maybe it's my urge just to get Mario and luigi in some manner of lego form, but, cool little desktop interactive things by themselves. I may just have to BrickLink them! Can very much agree with all of this. I'm really glad it's going well for them, I will be keeping an eye on what this theme releases as I do find it very interesting.
  6. Personally, I just hope it's not tooooo long because while it's a nice refreshing change on the normal lego stuff, and quite innovative, I'm just not into it, I want minifigs of mario/luigi etc and for the chance to get the legend of Zelda stuff... Thats where they'll gain free access to my bank account. I'm also wondering how long they can make the current rendition of sets go on for... Luigi is just released so he has a few waves to go, yoshi is brick built so won't be made digitally I highly doubt... Mushroom is also brick built as is all the bad guys including Bowser... So, this just leaves the princess/peach to potentially be made digital and get a few waves of her in it. And I guess if they really wanted to, make a digital Bowser at a stretch... Past any of that, it'll just be random waves of random layouts and different interchangeable costumes. This digital style could be lasting quite some time yet... I'll just quietly hold out hope for the D2C...
  7. I wonder if they're holding off on minifigures, to give this new version a clear chance to grow and gain a solid base. If we had minifigures, you'd probably see a good chunk of the current version fans move onto the minifigure stuff. Perhaps once this has settled and run it's course a bit, they'll move onto minifigure stuff, which to be honest, is almost a sure-fire guarantee that people will buy. If you give people what they immediately know they want, there's probably a less likely chance they'd venture away from that. Give people something a bit different with no former version to draw comparison to, they may be more likely to give it a chance and be open to something when it's the *only* thing they've had a chance to buy...
  8. Ahhhh thank you! That looks a pretty decent set too!
  9. You got ladybirds! How did you find them? They don't belong to an actual set number do they?
  10. Oh my god, those buildable minifigs are amazing!!!! And theyre the same scale as my 6x sized headless horseman! They look exceptionally smooth and really well done!
  11. Nice detailed review as usual! I'm impressed for the most part on all the figs, still have similar thoughts on roadrunner and especially tweety should have been extras with their counterpart fig (or at least given roadrunner different legs somehow, maybe even blue hips...) One concerning thing, is the lack of Wile E Coyote figs and 3 extra roadrunners a mistake? Seems a bit odd... But is also a shame its immediately become an issue :( Doesn't seem much point buying a single whole box if you're not even guaranteed one complete set...
  12. Who is this hacker? If there is a buildable philosophers stone in trans red, a golden snitch build in pearl gold, well... That'd just be cool!
  13. That chest in the bottom... Looks like.... Something else Absolutely love the humour of this! And, the design and build/pieces used is also impressive! I echo the comments about the toilet brush! But what I do love also, is the mechanism on the inside, showing how it works! Most certainly unique and interesting, and fun too! Will certainly support this!
  14. That millennium falcon even captures the essence of the exhaust ports! Crazy clever! Awesome little builds from child you! I'd have totally swooshed these around anywhere I went if child me had them! Love the fact we can easily tell what they are (well, mostly... Didn't figure the difference between the tie and interceptor nor the advanced, but it's obvious now I'm aware!) The imagination that has gone into these, definitely an indication of how good you were going to become with lego!
  15. Its not hijacking, it's relevant to the source of the build. You can't make something on a subject then expect people to ignore the subject matter. You think it'd be appropriate to make a moc of a police car with a policeman standing on a black minifig with well designed buildings and road techniques done, but ignoring the situation of the moc? It is not a detriment to society, and simply 'because its my own choice' is good reason enough, hence why we have a choice. It certainly is no threat/insult to those who are vulnerable who can't receive the vaccine. Because for the most part, all the vulnerable people will be having it (those that want it). There will be an extreme few who 'cant' have it and those people likely won't ever be leaving hospital or their home because a simple cold would do them. It is not foolish to exercise a basic human right. Vaccines typically were tested over the course of 10 years. 7 years if they could do well and everything went right with it. Then suddenly, oh! They can pop one out in a year, fully tested and good to go? No side effects! None whatsoever! That's what the adverts say. Real life tells a different story. Nothing serious occurs because of it! They're adamant. Oh, but a handful die from blood clots. Then they still deny its because of the vaccine and that's its just coincidence and the link between the 2 will never be made. Oh, but then the link is made, but it gets dismissed because its sooooo few the benefit outweighs the cost. Vaccine is totally safe and tested! Oh, but hasn't been tested on children. Nor are they offering it to pregnant women. But it's totally safe so why not just give it to them? I'm sorry but maybe in 10 years time when the real consequences of it come out, I'll take it (I've had other vaccines). But I have a damned right to choose no until I feel its had long enough to be tested-properly, without facing abuse, mockery, name-calling or any such other thing.
  16. Its making a mockery of those who wish to remain able to have a choice, who instead get forced to comply or become social outcasts and hated/apparantly seen as evil.
  17. Bad taste given the current situation....
  18. Perhaps its because people lowered their expectations to the point of Dobbys sock, and now.... It could very well be we are getting Dobby's sock, so we're all totally prepared for it already
  19. Exceeded my expectations: Ice planet Deep Freeze Defender Space police 2 Galactic Mediator Given I only got these for the first time a few months ago, I figured their builds and functions would be mediocre at best compared to the glowing vast amount of different build techniques and possibilities of modern sets. Well I couldn't have gotten that anymore wrong! The play functions were many, and intriguing, fun, simple, yet very effective. I'd easily say they match any play functions of modern sets, dare I say it, possibly exceed them too. The build techniques? Sure, not as technical, but still very much on the fun side of building. No monotony even on duplication of sub assemblies. Sure the undersides leave a lot to be desired, but on the stud side of things, still very aesthetically pleasing to the eye, as much as any other modern set that draws my attention.
  20. Ahhhhh I see! Thank you for the explanation. I'ma go back under my rock now...
  21. I feel kinda lame saying this... But I literally can't figure out what any of that means. I mean, I see the words, but it's like I'm seeing another language in English I'll Google these things after I've typed this, but never heard of (I'm assuming it's a saying?) fanfic, where named characters comes into it, what you mean by you're unashamed shipping trash, nor any idea what AO3 is @AanchirI apologise if my opinion/view is typed in an empathy lacking manner or impolitely.
  22. I never said it wouldn't be a good idea. I said they should carry on as they are (regarding sets at least). No need to flip it, I already use my imagination to give them whatever genders or life roles I want them to have. I don't need TLG to spoonfeed me labels, I create my own. As it is, didn't TLG dip their toes in the water with creating a more diverse inclusion with the hidden side 2 main characters, specifically Parker? (I didn't get into the storyline side of it so I don't really push to ultimately find out. Jack and Parker are just genderless buddies as far as I'm concerned). All the Friends sets with sooo many females... Sure the theme is called Friends, but that is easily open to interpretation. Girlfriends? Who's not to say that they're all just a bunch of lesbians, and the parents aren't a pre op and post op couple? Like I said, the representation is already there if you want it to be. As for media, that's entirely different. It'll happen, it'll change. We're all aware lgbqt is so much more widely accepted now than it was before. But, you also can't be ignorant to the fact, that TLG is a business. To make money. And there are still the generations of parents that were brought up by anti-lgbqt (or blind eyeing lgbqt) people who will be mindful of what they expose their kids to. TLG can't just dive in balls deep instantly. Because it *will* spark outrage from the 'anti lgbqt' people, and it'll lose them profits. It's difficult to tell how mu h of their profit comes from the anti and pro. They might be able to do a sneak survey that doesn't straight up ask your gender but they might be gathering the info in the background to keep an eye on things so they know when it's safe to start dipping toes. You think it's a representation, to them, it's their kids life. *Their* kids. Not yours. Kids minds' are a minefield of uncertainties and flippantisms. Kids will learn about genders at some point in their life and will be free to be what they want. It's happening. There's no going back. There are 2 sides to the argument of giving kids exposure. Sure, it's great to give them freedom. But school years is a shit show without having gender issues to lump onto them too. Kids get bullied for all sorts, without adding gender to it too. Why? Because kids are kids. Teachers turn blind eyes and allow it to happen and then deny all knowledge. Parents think their kids are angels and wouldn't do such a thing. Or, parents are just as bad. You can't expect to be teaching a kid at a young impressionable age that if he really wants to, he can lob his sausage off and become a daughter? Or that the daughter can turn her pocket into a hotdog. That's life changing stuff. That's essentially the stuff TLG will be exposing kids to, because that's part of it. That's-not-their-place to be teaching that. In a time when cyber bullying is also an unaccepted norm, suicide rates among young people have doubled. Throw gender issues freely at kids right now, and you'll see that suicide rate go up even more because society still hasn't evolved enough for it. You want more suicides? Or do you want those people alive to help promote lgbqt issues later in their life when they've gone through the ropes. Regardless, the world is a very judgy one. And TLG will get judged regardless. But for TLG to still be at the basics of man and woman is a cautious safety for them. TLG will move with the times in their media and will catch up, as they have done with their products hence why they're so popular. Because they sell what's popular. Once lgbqt becomes popular, that's when they'll go for it. Because money. Time. Time needs to go by. Generations need to be watered down to it. That's the only way it'll finally become a true norm. Yes, all the pop culture and recognition has helped, but the nail in the coffin for it will be the generations holding out on it. As those get watered down, it'll become accepted everywhere. But watering down generations takes time. That's something you can't rush. Surely you're not incensed that your opinion is somewhat unpopular, given you posted an opinion in the unpopular opinion thread...? You effectively proved that your opinion fits in this thread is all.
  23. Which someone somewhere will find racist because it excludes every other race in the world.... Entirely my opinion: I feel TLG should carry on as they are regarding LGBQT. You can buy the groom and bride brickheadz separately. So, buy 2 males. Or females. Or don't give them hair. Or give them both long hair. Or w/e you want. the blank slate palette is there for you already. Got a lego set with what appears to be a male, female, and kid? Use your imagination. One is a genetically born male dressed up as female. The other is a hermaphrodite with feminine features transitioning to a man. You got a small kid that looks like it could be a boy? Congrats, you have yourself a girl dressed as a boy. But wait! There is another adult fig that looks like it could be a female. Well congrats. Its a weekend, so it's a man in drag. Oh, there's a dog? It is whatever gender you imagine it to be. Use your imagination. TLG don't need to represent that community because it's already represented if you so wish it to be. Just because it's not spelled on the box 'Trans lesbian non binary fluid intersex pangender racecar set' doesn't mean it's not representative. There are still plenty of minifigs that appear to be sexless. Therefore, there is your non male/female gender representation as well. It's all there. But you want proper representation? You relalise how many genders there are. If you start representing properly, there will always be some gender that will be offended and claim discrimination because they aren't represented. It's a can of worms that is best left shut, and for the customers to do what you're meant ot do with Lego. Use your imagination. It's up to the parents of their kids to teach them the possibilities of gender. That CAN be done using Lego. If you use your imagination. I imagine the female minifigs with waistlines are females because they have the subtle underboob shaping and slim waistlines with makeup and long hair. You want representation or to educate your kids on non male/female genders? Cool. Now imagine that female looking minifig is simply a man with turkey fillets and a naturally slim waistline wearing makeup and a wig (or grew it's hair long). Job done.
  24. I think arm and leg printing fans would disagree with you there But I also do think for the most part, you're right! I have no idea what the idea behind this whole vidiyo thing is though, but it brings cool (or whacky?) new moulds and figs, and tiles.
  25. Ordered on the 25th March, I received my pick a brick order yesterday on the 6th April, but the Bricks & Pieces part of the order is showing as in warehouse. Just throwing my order dates in the mix of what other people have been experiencing. Both were low value and around £20 each.
