LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
Fuppylodders replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I would say you are right. The side armour panels are parallel to each other whereas on previous versions they were widest in the middle tapering in as they got to the front and rear. I feel the cannon on top and the cockpit give the impression it is bigger but i dont believe it is at all. -
They did say I think it had been put back from February to March if i remember correctly...?

LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
Fuppylodders replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Everyone was saying chrome ewok except that 'legoboy' who made the thread to start with, it was he that said tc14, and this year the guesses hit han and he confirmed it... I really do hope it isnt but him saying its han has me worried :( -
That last pic!  And those Y-Wings! I wonder, comparing the 'real' Y-Wing, what scale would be closer to being correct for minifigures, the one you have there, or the UCS version? I just can't seem to make my mind up just by looking at pictures of the 'real' Y-Wing... That A-Wing just looks damned awesome, I really do love the way you have made it different to TLGs version yet it looks sooo close to the real one! Also liking the way the front has been done successfully!

LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
Fuppylodders replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Speculation normally stems from something, ie someone who has previously proved to be correct in the past therefore proving to me to have a good enough reliability that they are *probably* more than 50% chance of being correct, providing the info as being the assumption required for me to take the rumour seriously. As it is, this thread is for pictures and rumours, with the final aim of achieving the real info. What is the point of making a thread for pics and rumours if only real info is allowed? If we want only real info then wait until something gets released for sale as NOTHING is guaranteed until it is released for sale. Rumours can contain a mixture of truth and untruth, gossip and hearsay. Therefore what has been said about it fits perfectly into this category, so if you feel like correcting me, please do it correctly to avoid misunderstandings. *edit* how can you even get real info about 'possible' real sets? That contradicts itself. Either a set is real, or it isnt, if you want real info. You wont *know* what set could be possible until official confirmation from lego by which point rumours are redundant, and so would this entire thread be too. -

LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
Fuppylodders replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
that same source gave us the correct promo fig for last year before anyone else did if i remember correctly. They are doing the same thing again this year in the way they are presenting their info so i see no reason why not to take this as a source. Any form of speculation is info without proof, of which this thread is all about. So please refrain in future from telling people to not do what this thread is all about. -

For personal pleasure, seeing as I literally *just* missed out on getting the 8038 Ewok attack set with the AT-ST... I hope it would include one :P But either way, I'm interested to see what it will include... *edit* oh dam you cavegod, why'd you go spoil my hopes for :( Now ima have to design my own one! -

Seeing the renders... Im not so sure of my dislike for it now... they seem better than the actual released pics of it

I see nothing wrong with that, the X-Wing is just happy to see you!

LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/collector Check it out. Adding ultimate or series to collector in no way implies it is limited edition or for a limited time (The very first 10,000 or so 10179 MF's had printed on them, *limited edition* and were numbered, now THAT implies it is of a rarity value, and limited in production run). But then, you could argue that every lego set by precedence is also only going to be available for a set period of time which makes them rare collector items (probably more applicable to the higher end costing sets), due to the fact that they have not continued producing a single same set over and over throughout the years. Ive been through it before, and I'll say it again: Rather than peoples random interpretations in or out of context regardless of what the majority 'think' it means due to previous unchanged precedence and their assumption on implied terms, Ultimate doesn't have to mean 'final'.... However can be interpreted as 'the greatest extreme/maximum/of the greatest possible size/utmost/extreme, which isn't sooo final/end/last Collector also doesn't mean limited. It means it is something which someone collects, *regardless of rarity*. *limited edition* dictates rarity. TLG clearly have the same view as written above... However i very much do agree with the fact there are far more better vehicles that could be released before rehashes get done... -

Only the 10195 Dropship+AT-OT, but that wasn't named as a UCS, it was more of a (personal opinion) really nice big set that lacked a few more clones... There was also the UCS Naboo N1.. but that was just... eugh :P (only thing special was its chromed pieces) I agree paisana, I would much prefer an A-Wing or something else... but meh, they have done, what they have done. This was also clearly in the pipeline for a few years now, so they clearly had thought this through for a long time whether to re-do the UCS X-Wing for a new design. -

You are most certainly right! I do wonder if people would feel less offended/opposed if one of those were re-released (after a decent amount of time, such as 13 years etc)...? (And yes, I do understand there is a whole range that the release of a completely new, never before been made UCS would be much better than a 're-release') -

AT-AT is just a robotic dog with a docked tail... but plenty of people wanting that as UCS too.. -

I strongly beg to differ... just look at Marshal Bananas and Cavegods version. Sure, they are over the usual piece count limit, but it wouldn't be too difficult for professional TLG builders to create one within their piece count limit. With regards to the new X-Wing, it is not classed as UCS, so all the UCS fans out there that don't want another remake of a UCS... well... technically, there isn't... so the old version is still the *unique* one you forever want. Where the new X-Wings build is concerned... for a 'UCS' sized version, Im quite disappointed they included the small R2D2 and made it fit. It seems completely disproportionate and just makes it look weird. Simply due to that, I can't really see myself getting it... big turnoff for me. Either make it minifig scale, or make it to scale it is designed to be, don't try to mix the two... Id rather fork out £160+ on an old UCS Y-Wing. -

Congratulations to the winners! Everyone did well, and it was a tough choice! I do wonder though, you missed out what grouping 4th place is in? (1st place to 3rd place, and 5th place onwards) -

If you don't want people talking about rumours, then Id suggest changing the title. I second what Basil typed. -
