  1. Technically today still counts to vote, as you said today is the last day to cast votes :P So :P 5th Spartan 4th Roman soldier 3rd Black knight 2nd Medusa (Such an awesome rendition of medusa, so detailed!) 1st Galaxy Patrol
  2. With regards to the prices as well? What would the almighty God of Caves be able to foresee as the figs of minis to be included?
  3. No, they have it the right way round for yoda, otherwise normally it should be I <3 NY, whereas they have it as NY, I love... such as 'Powerful, you have become'.
  4. The AT-STs legs were skinny anyway, impossible to be too skinny as a lego model, Technic beams are probably the right width, if anything.
  5. I really like the 8038 at-st, it seems really well done and a nice size. Not wanting to hijack this thread, however my question is similar, what about the best moc at-st?
  6. Someone on here has done an exceptionally well designed minifig scaled B-wing, which I personally dont believe TLG could improve upon as it is, seriously well executed. Other than that, with the lack of sales of the UCS B-Wing, I cant imagine they will visit a minifig scaled one anytime soon.
  7. Id be happy if this was the UCS Ewok village set... Very happy indeed!
  8. Ohhh! Im so adding Boba to my LSW torch collection! I wonder if the others are now out too? I forget which ones they were though...
  9. How were they even distributed? Its sad that people will take something like this that Im sure TLG didnt intend to be immediately sold off like this... and try sell it for a ridiculous amount
  10. Because of the press release kit they have released for it, being the Yoda Chronicles set... that is SW themed, which perhaps not guaranteed to prove it is a SW themed display, is enough to hint towards it being a SW themed display. And as I mentioned in the SW YC kpress kit release, I do not believe it is going to be a retail set they unveil, more like a 'record-breaking' display model.
  11. Exactly this. If it is something so 'big' to be unveiled in Times Square, I hardly think it will be a tiny UCS set that only about a crowd of 20 people would be able to see at any one time. I seriously expect it to be some huge big megablocks display promoting something to do with the Yoda Chronicles. So I can imagine anyone expecting it to be the Ewok village or X-wing UCS or anything, will most likely be disappointed... Just my opinion though.
  12. Thank you Redhead and LegoDr. I shall play around with making broken glass in the conservatory, probably more so when I do it in real bricks as the random placement will literally be random and not too... thought of... if you know what I mean? But yes, a few trans clear cheese slopes on the upper portion of it and some 'shattered' glass on the floor. My intention is to have some green vines climbing up the window through the triangle corner holes (where I couldnt figure out how to make into glass) as though it has broken through, with some glass on the floor. That is not a bad idea at all LegoDr. It would make it more manageable for space for the rear half to open in 2 left and right halves/quarters. Id really like to achieve this, and keep it open up this way as it is almost like a 'play house' that has actual playability to it rather than having to remove floors to gain access to each level. But now again, the problem persists:- If I was to have hinges on the middle of the left and right sides, the roof overhang prevents it opening up, as the wall that the hinge would be on is positioned further back than the roof overhang meaning the overhang is physically in the way. Can anyone think of a way to overcome this? Thank you also for the comment that it doesnt look like 2x10228s put together... After messing around with it and staring at it for sooo long I start to lose sense of what I am trying to achieve and start to see 10228 too much
  13. I really wish I could see this live, those motors instead of an interior certainly do their job well! The scene itself is executed brilliantly (excuse the pun ) but the way you have integrated the moving parts, it brings the whole thing to eery life!
  14. Made me giggle! Great job =D
  15. Hi people, When I saw the haunted house I knew I wanted to get it, I loved it! Then I started seeing other peoples haunted house mocs and I wanted to do something a bit more than build TLGs version. So, I got TLGs version, built it, still love it but as I said, I wanted something more. So I bought another haunted house. My idea was to basically use the bits from both, try to mate together 2 built houses. I figured Id use LDD to help me achieve this. Id be able to remove one side wall off both houses, use those 2 side walls to extend it further and have a larger house. Once built, Id build it on a nice base to build a scenario around it. So far it appeared to be going ok, I had even built a centre spire (using additional bits) and after some research on conservatories, I added one of them in too after inspiration from a picture I found (again, additional bits required.). Now my problem starts. I had initially wanted to build a basement underneath, quite like how Sergio has on his, but due to a lack of current parts, I have left it out for the time being. Another problem occurred. How to open the house. After removing the hinge bricks from the chimney, as I had repositioned the chimney, I needed it to open. But to do that now, the roof gets in the way of it opening. So do I make it like typical modular houses, and make removable floors, by adding a row of tiles to each floor? Also, Im now not sure it is wide enough. Looking at Others, they are huge. Mine looks like it has the width, but not the depth (front to back)... I am also now unsure of the entire house itself. There are some things which I really like, like the balcony doors being able to open up onto a balcony, the main front door (and steps/wall leading up to it), the conservatory and the spires (or at least, the pointed roof bits). The thing is, after seeing just how amazing Sergio's is, mine pales in comparison. Im ok at building if I have a starting block to build from, but to go from completely scratch, I struggle. But now there isn't a lot that would be so impressive about the one I am doing, as it is basically just 2x 10228 houses stuck together with some things moved around... Do I start again? Do I make more depth to the house? What do I do to the interior? Do I make removable floors, or can someone see a potential way to make hinged bricks work? Here is a link to the current state of where Im at with it: http://www.flickr.com/photos/66283772@N04/sets/72157633510954542/
  16. I am absolutely in awe of this! It is absolutely amazing in many ways! The swing is one of my favourite bits, strangely. The way it moves by itself, just reminds me of swings going by themselves in horror films! You have also just made me rethink about the haunted house I am currently designing... I was going to do a basement just how you have yours, but yours is so perfect! I liked my house design at first, but seeing yours, It is nowhere near as good, considering I basically was mashing 2 TLG haunted houses together while adding some bits here or there... I would love to see, is there any interior to your house?
  17. Ill be getting both, and I have both of the older most recent versions.
  18. Id say AT-TE or Gunship. I have both, of the last versions released, and no sail barge... yet I still won't get the newer sailbarge because it just doesnt 'do it' for me. Reebo isn't enough justification to buy the entire barge... Whereas The gunship+figs do, and the AT-TE+figs do.
  19. Definitely not doing it anymore, they've stopped the partnership.
  20. Whats wrong with Jek 14s ship :( Its fresh, actually quite similar and close in design to an E-Wing (even if it's not supposed to be :P) and has some decent colours and figs with it
  21. Wrong way to go about it... One of 2 ways to go: 1) Let her see it and find out about it once it has arrived and you have opened it so there is no chance she can blackmail you into returning it Much easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission! 'Enter' a competition.... Then randomly cheer as you receive this thing in the post which must be the prize!! *edit* I also have this set. If you can afford it, it is a DEFINITE must buy. So much value inside this set, recreates sooo many iconic scenes on the death star, and the amount of figures/choice of figures is excellent. Mini Tie X1 is awesome as well :P
  22. A bit jarring is an understatement Its the entire reason why I didnt bother getting one. Its a nice enough ship, but nothing special for the price they wanted for it. Even at £150 or 140, nah... not really. 130, maybe...But someone on here has done a version which is most exceptional, and at minifigure scale. Now that, I am willing to pay for (yes, the ldd is already available). But not that overpriced mediocre thing... Wasted a completely good UCS spot with that.
  23. Id say definitely the shuttle, but that is based on my own personal preferences. I prefer minifigure sized ships, XWing is bit too big for me even though it is a really well done set, the shuttle is not only huge in size, its close to minifig scale so fits with my system scale xwing, tie fighter etc as well as it is such an impressive model in itself. The build is absolutely awesome and if you build both left and right wings at the same time then its not repetitive at all. It is also more likely to just go up and up in price as I could imagine it being discontinued sort of soonish where the X Wing is only just released. Either way, the shuttle does not disappoint!
