  1. Not only is this build look bloody awesome, it even has a little luke inside it!
  2. The hell you manage to get a sealed Jabbas palace for $40?!
  3. Sept 3rd, I started my new (hopefully) lifelong job as... a mechanical engineer hoping to work on chinooks (apprentice for the next 3 years for the time being though :P)
  4. Speechless! That falcon is huge! AND has an awesomely detailed interior to match! I really do love that interior, it captures the essence of the interior on the film =D
  5. I would invest in a better camera, this 'looks' like it is really good, but from just one picture, a very grainy one at that, it is difficult to pick out the really well done parts as well as parts that could perhaps do with a bit of changing... From what I can see of it, it does look good... but that is all I can say for the time being
  6. I quite like the improvement of the viewing port, with the plate in between the cheese slopes as a trans-red, would just be perfect! Is that possible? I don't know if you have used a 2x4 + 2x1 plate to give the 5 stud width of the viewing port or just 1x1 + 1x4 plates? If they are 2x1 + 2x4 plate, could you use 5 1x2 trans red plates?
  7. Lucky its not a stark dark arc Barc speeder
  8. Perhaps they might use the sales of the Malevolence to see if there is enough interest in the bigger ships of that type, whether it would be worthwhile for them to make one...? I dont know, Im just throwing a guess out there
  9. That is very impressive, especially the seperatist droid army and all them AATs , and the clone hover tanks! And those AT-STs! Awww hell, thats just a lovely lot of LSW!
  10. If you're not happy with it, I'd go with what Mr Man has suggested, perhaps in the way Darths Tie wing ends are. I'm sure that would bring it into line with TIEs of similar wing shape, while also keeping its originality due to the central wing and inverted mini wing bits just coming off the middle. Psiaki was well known on flickr for his very unique building skills to achieve almost any possible connection of which he utilised in awesome builds. One of which is his X-Wing seen here on the left, this is my own one after gaining instructions from him how to build it. He has since been employed by TLG as a designer within the past few months. (TL:DR- I was giving you a compliment )
  11. Im a fan of anything Tie or similar, and you may not be too happy with this one, but I rather like the idea, and the execution of the design fitting to the backstory. It doesnt look bulky, which fits with your 'weak' part, and it does look rather armed up but not 'over armed' that it looks like someone justs tuck a load of big guns on it. And its minifig scale, total win for me! I could see you going the route Psiaki has ended up going with your abundance of well executed designs! Do you actually plan to make many of these irl? This one I would love to see...
  12. Totally agreed Dont like criticism? Dont post in a forum that guarantees it of some sort. All you do the moment anyone says anything you dont like no matter how justified and politely put it is, you respond in an elitist disrespectfully arrogant manner. Perhaps stick to flickr where there will be no one to put your efforts down and so you can live in harmony and peace. That place is where ego stroking belongs, don't bring it here. To all you 'amg why u so nitpicky?!111' people: Grow the hell up, and learn about constructive criticism.
  13. then you have room to learn more skills
  14. bah.. you edited making my post pointless >.<
  15. Firstly, Lefty, look at the previous posts of mine (mainly page 4) in this thread, you will then get an idea of what road you are heading down. @wokajablocka Your view that for someone to point out inaccuracies only if they have made the exact same model and then changed bits is completely way off the mark, and is rather an arrogant view. I am sure there are many things (not just lego, but maybe films etc) in your lifetime you have critised yet have not made of your own version. I would have a hard time believing if you said otherwise... Secondly, Anio... The improvements of the feet (width) are The improvement of the rear is That rear improvement of yours, the way the rear detailing slopes in towards the leg motor is something I am struggling to show correctly on mine so good job! I shall get there soon enough... I understand why you did not do the bit around the neck, as it is very difficult to achieve at any scale without compromising on other things. Omitting it was the best compromise as I do not (personally) feel it is necessarily an important detail to include. I shall leave it at that.
  16. This makes me want to buy it so I can modify it to this! Id say the scale isn't an issue at all, as it is more down to a 'minifig width/height scaling issue' which you have found the best solution/compromise for which I feel works perfectly! The more accurate colour representation also somehow makes it more appealing to me than TLGs version, based on which, I do not understand (personally) how they feel theirs would be more sellable than the more accurate coloured version, but hey hoo... That is why Lego is so awesome, because it gives us room to modify to something as brilliantly as this!
  17. Im seeing more and more comments of wants/hopes than pictures/actual rumours in this thread, its getting slightly irritating so many new posts and nothing on topic
  18. I really like it! It is sleek, and yet still fits the r-unit in so nicely! Nothing looks out of position, and it does retain an Empire-ish look. Great job!
  19. I am totally jealous of that cold weather force rogueang! I've started building up a little mini snowtrooper force of my own for a MoC... yours would fully outfit it brilliantly xD
  20. WOW! That garage looks like it could be modularly added to the side of the house and one wouldn't even notice it was a moc! Brilliant work! So... inspiring!
  21. I see no picture or link nvm, slow internet lol Anyhoos, that looks really nice! And quite visibly different than TLG version, great job!
  22. Ive been waiting to see some more progress, thats great! I personally prefer the closer one myself.
  23. Yes, that's the minifig violating culprit!
  24. Id feel too much like im violating my minifigs if I sat them in that part
  25. I have to say Im quite taken with this one. Last year I bought the bakery and toy shop for my girlfriend for Xmas which were both such awesome sets and good price points... This year it'll definitely be this and the post office... shes just wubbed over seeing pics of this so its a definite from me... and a cry from my wallet
