LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors

Im not sure if you saw the ebay pic... but the actual face print is tilted/twisted down to her left and slightly squished. The one in the video is clearly symmetrical. Misprint clearly apparant -

I guess not having been in the printing industry, it may seem that way... however, having been a printer, I tend to notice them easier... but as Brickadeer pointed out, the video clears it up as a misprint. -

Because the face is slanted/twisted down to one side and slightly squashed (ever so slightly). That's how. -

Its a misprint, no chance that is anything different of her face. Due to that clear misprint, im hoping the 501st helmet is a misprint too high. I personally believe these figs are preliminary incorrect attempts and meant to be disposed of which is probably how they have been obtained. -
Monster Fighters 2012
Fuppylodders replied to Darth Nihilus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Yes we do but they are so widely accessible (only if you put the effort in of doing a WHSmiths/Toys R Us hunt throughout the cities) that the prices don't go inflated until long after the promotions. Some of which have been available through various other promotions that were open to everyone. I just don't get why they can't make promotional polybags or even polybags in general accessible to everyone regardless of country rather than filter them off. Anyhoos, this'll end up going off topic if I'm not careful, so I guess just best to put this at rest... -

Its getting annoying all these decent polybags being given away in the US while we don't stand a chance of seeing them over here unless we pay extortionate prices for them =/ -
Review: 9465 The Zombies
Fuppylodders replied to Multiverse's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Excellent review! Im definitely decided on getting this set after seeing this. I cant wait! One question... You said: 'We should all know the Zombie driver by now, since he also appears in the Vampyre Hearse (which is already abundant with cool minifigures), a polybag and next month's Lego Store Exclusive.' What exactly is meant by this? What is their store exclusive going to be? Where can details about them be found? -

If there are any discontinued sets you like, I'd get them now (ebay/bricklink etc)... they will only go up in price. Other than that, get whatever sets you enjoy the look/style of =D -
I dont get all the negativity... it's simple... if you don't like the idea, then don't watch any of the new Disney stuff. The fact they have taken over does not in any form or manner change anything that has currently been made and shown, they are exactly the same films. Those are the ones you have become a fan of star wars for, not for what they may or may not suddenly come up with. At some point, Lucas has to give up and retire otherwise it'll be such a huge pressure on his life to always keep it going or simply let it die off. If he wants to make his money while it still can then I say let him. He has done bloody good with the 6 films and TCW. Rather than let it die off, he is allowing it to have some sort of new life. This new life can be either a good thing for fresh new SW stuff that fans can enjoy all over again, or something that people can ignore if they simply don't like it. There's no need for such negativity. Let the guy who gave us all this awesome SW stuff retire in peace without feeling he has made a bad choice.

Im with you Kiel, and especially that snowspeeder pilot... Im not usually one for planet sets... but those 2 minifigs are absolutely stunning! I see 2013 being rather an expensive year for me :( -
Thanks for the 6+hours of work KDM, thats great proof that TLG does cater for everyone as fairly as possible. As for those wincing at the rehashes of things like the A-Wing... I never had the chance to get the A-wing the first time round (or even the second)... so this third time round, is absolutely perfect for me. There will be many more people like me too who have missed out and are extremely happy to get one. OT fans must understand that there is a limited amount of things that they can release with regards to ships/vehicles due to the fact that the films are long been done and dusted. Sure there are playsets, but do AFOLS really want playsets aimed at kids? I know a lot that would prefer not. So what are TLG to do to keep everyone happy? Its a tough decision for them, but, being on the other side where I like almost everything SW, and that I have actually missed out on a lot of their vehicles, like the A-Wing, B-wing playset (of which the second one was awesome), I look forward to some rehashes, especially with the increase in quality designing they are doing nowadays.

LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
Fuppylodders replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Having missed out the previous opportunities of clone troopers, I actually don't mind their cartoonish style, I like them for exactly what they are, clone troopers based from the clone wars series (or w/e additional SW bit they come from). Clone Trooper and Droideka Battlepack: Great army builder pack for clone troopers, I personally think its quite a good idea to have the droidekas as the opposite troop choice, as it gives a bit more flexibility as to how to use them. Use them as Droidekas, or make up your own giant droideka or something! Republic Trooper and Sith Trooper Battlepack: After having missed out on the CW era of Lego sets the first time around, I am excited for this, as they are 4 very decent minifigs, of which 2 very useable armies can be made form one single BP. Great choice on figs TLG! (although I do think the clone trooper helmets look a bit weird AT-R-Brilliant we are finally getting some 501st, although after seeing some of the customs people have made, Im not sure these live up to my expectations.. Need a better look at them first. A-Wing-I am exceptionally happy about the A-Wing, having missed out on any previous versions, I love my spaceships so this will be a must have for at least 2 of them. That helmet, while not necessarily as 'lego-ey' as some would prefer, I think its a nice difference and shows TLG are willing to put that little bit of extra detail in where it counts. BARC Speeder- Nice set, not bad, doesn't greatly appeal to me, apart form the 1 trooper with it... Would probably turn into a parts set than keeping it built, as did the droid commando BP. Z-95 Headhunter- *rubs hands with glee* Rancor Pitmeh... Never was really that enthused with the Rancor, it just seems to be an additional model that is missing its main set half because it would have been too much of an expensive set to have it already included with the Palace in one set... Umbaran MHC- Great looking set! I know nothing about the Umbaran stuff, but great figs (I don't mind too much about the weird helmets) and awesome buildable cannon on legs! -
Yes, another AT-AT! But crashed in snow!
Fuppylodders replied to Fuppylodders's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you very much guys, comments appreciated! I know the legs width is a slight issue, especially as the lower parts of the thighs are technically slightly wider due to the addition of the 2x4/2x2 tiles on the side to hide the technic pin holes... ill revisit that area again sometime in the future to try get it more correct. Most other things of it I am happy with, especially the neck/head ^_^ So thanks again -

$15?! dang! Id have jumped at many of those sets at that price! The figs alone would have made it well worth it :( -

@Dapper, nope, this one is actually smaller than Cavegod's version. His is bigger than mine by 3 inches at minimum. -
[MOC] "I fly in now" Episode VI last attack on the Death Star
Fuppylodders replied to markus1984's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I absolutely love this scene, you have recreated it very well! The lighting helps to give it that 'spacey' feel to it, while the unfinished exhaust port looks very well carried out. Great job! -

Fuppylodders replied to Fuppylodders's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Haha, no they weren't But I had to make it that little bit more interesting for people to look at I actually found it quite fun to add them in, putting them in some sort of fighting/exiting diorama, although the whole snow scene thing was literally a last minute rushed thing... I only had a week and a half to order the bits and make it before needing to have it at some sort of finished capacity -

Fuppylodders replied to Fuppylodders's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Haha yeah, I repeatedly watched the scene for that detail... The only thing was, for the exhibition, I wanted the scene to explain itself... ie, for those that hadn't watched that particular SW film (or couldn't remember it well), how the cable got there in the first place, it would show that it got tripped over by the cable from the snowspeeder... If I could have had it my way, I'd have had the snowspeeder much further away as it should have been, cable disconnected, and a much larger display piece But thank you guys, I do appreciate the compliments! Any tips on how to embed my pictures properly so it sort of shows thumbnails of the pics to flickr, but actually here? (if you get what I mean?) -
OK, so I have been working for months and months on and off on this AT-AT (since last December to be precise). You may or may not remember me making a topic about designing an AT-AT in LDD. Well, The LDD design was pretty much complete and so I wanted to get cracking with teh real thing! Aims: I wanted it to represent as many details as possible while allowing certain parts to be movable. Full and complete interior details! Posable legs/feet, with ability to stand up by itself with no support. Head to fit at least 5 minifigs; 2 drivers, the commander and room for 2 random troopers in the rear part of the head. Make the head like no other way I have seen before, include the head hump, chin guns, cheek anti personnel guns, viewport and easy access to head interior through its roof. Head/Neck to be hinged so the head can turn sideways a decent amount while having NO droop. Fit 40 seated minifigs comfortably. Have storage for 5 speeder bikes. Represent the atmospheric filtration system in the upper rear compartment. Neck to have a walkway to fit a minifig all the way through while showing the 'ribbed' exterior detail of the neck. Show the greebles on the rear of the body as best and as accurate as possible. Opening/closing troop bay door. Remove studs where possible but not get too anal about it, ruining detail to achieve it. Source material used/credit to: Incredible Cross Sections (for decision on layout), AT-AT studio model, Digital Recreation by Jas Hodge (unknowingly, but huge thanks to this guy for all the work he did digitally recreating it showing many interior and exterior details in so many angles that I was able to pick out.), Cavegod for his endless criticisms on the many roof designs until I managed to perfect it (to my satisfaction), as well as his (excellent) part usage suggestion for the neck and various other criticisms. Also Brickplumber, for initial inspiration making me decide to take this project on, and for the connection of the feet to the legs. Warning: Sorry for the wall of text... If you would just like to look at the pics, please scroll to the bottom and click the link! I had originally attempted to make the head have a vertical movement as well as horizontal but that failed, which meant I had to change the neck connection, thus changing the rear of the head, and so having to change the connection for the side walls and the roof... bah! I had only just started and was needing to change so much already! While that was going on (for ages might I add!), I started building the legs. Orders were mediocre and I was slowly building it part by part. First 2 feet, then the third foot, then the fourth foot. Then came the legs. All four legs were built and needed to be connected, so I then built the front and rear leg drive motors. Now for the part that I had been desperate to build... the body! Piecing everything together, I started building the platform for the body. Everything was looking excellent and going to plan! A couple of small changes happened to improve it, like decreasing the gap between the front and rear drive motors to bring them closer together, increasing the height of the gap for the troop bay door by 1 plate (surprisingly makes a hell lot of difference with the perceived look). At this point, I was still playing about with the neck design and its ability to turn and so the connecting wall on the body was also being rather annoying in trying to finalise a design for it. Eventually I came to a conclusion and finalised a design for it which included using four of the 2x2 plate turntables (2 on each end, 1 on top, 1 on bottom), and so carried on the build. I built the head into the neck, and was amazed at how solid the connection was for it and how there was absolutely no 'brewers droop' on the head whatsoever! Once the side armour wall was made, I was then able to adjust the width of the rear roof section to meet the wall at the best angle I could achieve. LDD wouldn't allow me to cut the pneumatic flex hose pipe for the upper level interior ceiling detail, but now I had done it in real life, it looked brilliant! I hoped it added just that little bit more detail... Finally! I completed it! well, nearly... It was stood up in all its glory! But I was unhappy with the lack of ribbed flex hose right in front of the body on the neck... so I decided to try something... I went right at it, getting carried away, pushed the part in place thinking how pleased with how good it was looking and it was like time slowed down to milliseconds... The whole thing tilted away from me and all I could do was look on in horror! What seemed like 10 seconds but was only about 2 seconds, the next thing I knew was it was in hundreds of pieces on the floor in front of me as I was still holding this piece I had been trying to attach I had previously said that I was going to be exhibiting this at the Great Western Lego Show (in England) and this created a problem for me. Admittedly, it didn't have the feet 'pistons' that joined the feet to the ankle (I later realised how important these were to its ability to stand by itself)... but was worried about the fact if it was on exhibit and this unstable, I couldn't risk it. I had to think of something. Sat there on the floor, I looked on... and the answer was right in front of me! An AT-AT got tripped up in the film and ended up down on its front knees... my AT-AT had posable leg joints, could it be posed in the exact same pose as in the film?! I tried... It could! And so started the build for the snow scenario, and born was the idea of it being displayed as 'crashed'. (yes, it actually crashed to pieces first before giving me the idea of displaying it crashed ) Time was not on my side, the event weekend was coming up and I had never built anything like this before, let alone on this scale! Why oh why was this happening! Any way, many frantic hurrying messages and orders later, I received my final important order of snow pieces and finally finished the display on the very Friday of the event setup day itself. I set it up for the first time, and dam... it did look good, but having built the snow in a 'just been crashed into' perception myself, I was unsure it recreated the correct feeling, or if it just looked like a bunch of white lego portraying nothing. But thankfully, many very kind comments later, I was left satisfied knowing I had achieved something even better than I could have originally hoped for. I did also set it up (with the feet/ankle 'pistons' in place), and it was quite stable, but I did not want to risk it being that was its first time complete and I had not fully tested its stability, hence some pictures show it stood up with legs posed in a walking position. The intention of the one exposed side was that the people coming to view the exhibits could see the full interior details of the AT-AT from one side, while the other side showed the fully enclosed side with only exterior details visible. So I will delay you no longer, and are the pics of my AT-AT, enjoy! http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream Forgot to say, criticism welcomed!

LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
Fuppylodders replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think he might be referring to the pic of what people thought was an Ewok village from that TLG pic which was the fuel for the rumour of an Ewok village, but provides no evidential proof, as well as the fact it wasnt even an Ewok village in the end. -
This looks nice! Shame there were only 2 ref pics to go by but you still did a good job! Nice interior too But let me understand something... you wanted to build an incomplete Death Star and decided to stop because it was... incomplete from being incomplete? *irony*
