LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!
Fuppylodders replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Multiple people of decent source have stated it is the MF, including Stash... I used to be a cynic about it and it's taken a lot to convince me, but I do now firmly believe those that have stated it to be the MF... -
I thought it would be good fun to join the SW forum nar eurbrikka story building game and wanted to be a Tie Pilot... Turns out it's just become a constant reminder how my imagination is crap, how I cant create a really nice diorama by free building without the use of LDD, and how I gave up after my first attempt... Maybe it's time I changed it

I wouldn't worry too much, it's like binge eating chocolate, great feeling to start with and Oh so tasty! But when you've eaten that 1kg bar in one sitting you're left feeling bored of it, stuffed and done with chocolate for the time being (yes, that was me haha)... Don't sell, as has been said, future you will regret it. If you can afford to not sell it, just box it up, and again, as someone said, keep one moc out that is your favourite. Go enjoy your other hobby, let that take your interest and just see how things go. Maybe you need a year break, maybe 5, maybe even 10! But you'll likely come back out of that dark age again at some point, and be glad you didn't sell it all. I know how you feel, currently due to circumstances, I'm back living with my mum, so I have my Lego in the loft, garage and bedroom. But I have no space to build anything. I also have another hobby (painting WH40k) which again, I can't really get back into due to lack of painting space. I'm currently feeling a bit 'meh' to both of them because realistically, they will both be on hold for at least another year and a half before I get my own place. But it's OK, when the time comes, I know they'll be there waiting for me with open arms :)

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

Prepare to be disappointed then with it being more than $650... As far as I'm concerned, at 7500 pieces, $800 is a reasonable price. It is not gouging SW fans, but catering to those that want what would essentially be a masterpiece, and offering it at a fair price compared to the number of parts included. If you can't afford it, don't get it, then you haven't been 'gouged'. -
LEGO Elves 2017 Discussion
Fuppylodders replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I'm really looking forward to the elves sets now, I got all the set's since the dragons came out, I think they're really coming into their own. They don't seem as much like 'Forest Friends with pointy ears' but something totally standalone with the direction they have gone. The little goblins?! Awesome evil cuteness! And as a 32 year old male, I won't be admitting that to many people any time soon The colours they use are new, different, vibrant and yet not in your face. The new parts are interesting, the animals are brilliant and very welcome, the dragons with their heads and wings, provide such a vast opportunity to create your own style of dragons which I think is amazing and when I have a chance, will do so. I'd love for them to release a black dragon head and black wings. The goblins are an awesome little addition to which I'm currently making a moc with. I really am looking forward to seeing what they come up with next, I hope they continue on with the Elves theme. -

Because of impatient, ADHD level of over excited people who keep pestering for images/info, and the constant need for people to reach the level of being one of the 'highly coveted' 'known leakers' so they can feel special about themselves, give themselves high fives for getting things correct, rather than letting the more reasonable, hesitant, self restraining and thoughtful leakers such as Sir von Lego who do it in a decent manner that doesn't megabluck it up for everyone else getting people in trouble causing a shit storm which could most definitely cause a load of shit for the mods here and potentially ruin the good and hard worked for relationship EB has with TLG. Quite a few examples of the former type of people, being in this thread. -
I have to agree with the above comment from cody, I like the uniformity of the colour scheme, it all ties in really well together. I like your own spin on the vehicles, but the really good thing I like about it? I could easily see them as being a 'spinoff' series of sets from star wars, like the free makers, in that they look that good to me. I most definitely think you should do a capital ship for them! I think that would definitely complete them! and I also can't wait to see what you come up with for it!

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

In 30 years of cars... Now look at 30 years of fighter jet advancement, military aircraft advancement. F-16, 40 years+, and still looks the same. A chinook, over 50 years, and still looks pretty much the same. I think you're expecting too much difference. -
There goes my soul xD

How on earth is one supposed to keep up without selling both their kidneys?! I bought fairground mixer because I liked how it actually looked fun and could be packed away into its own little vehicle sets... Then they release the big wheel... Didnt plan on getting it but now they've released this beauty, I'll HAVE to get it to start a little fairground... For all the modulars I've had to buy which are also not on the cheap side... Let alone the UCS snowspeeder just being released, the amazing looking Saturn V ideas set, again, high price point, need to get the elves goblins set for a fun moc I want to do, let alone the Lego batman movie sets which just look so fun themselves, and they still have yet to release the batwing, and that ultimate batmobile thing... And then the potential of the UCS mf... And the hopefully upcoming winter village set... I just don't even... I'll only have my soul left to sell to get all these decent sets!!!

Brilliant! You succeeded where I failed! Mine was too fragile, and possibly too small while having unachievable aims. I think yours is a good size, as the shuttle is such a lovely ship it needs to have justice done to it, and you've certainly given it that!

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
Fuppylodders replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The helicarrier is not the MF though, and it also doesn't have anything to live up to. The MF does, and will definitely be at least double your $300 hope, if not the $800 as shown in the picture. -
LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

Got to love it... 'we don't want to show you the picture so we don't get the employee in trouble, but here's a link which states what store it was taken from essentially narrowing it down to just a handful of people...' I think the comment about full interior has been taken from here from the guy that said he saw a picture of part of the interior/knows a guy that saw a picture of part of the interior (can't remember which it was), and have just taken it out of context and Chinese whispered it to claim a full interior... Literally any information or rumours typically comes from here or reddit and other sites just amalgamate to compose lists of what is already listed here, albeit spread through a multitude of pages. Can't say I've seen anywhere that states 'the most durable set ever' though... Pretty sure the wings on the 10212 shuttle put that comment to rest though! -
Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Fuppylodders replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
So, I have a question which at this point of time of night is frazzling my brain... I am in the position I can buy from Lego.co.uk or Lego.com (usa). Current exchange rates mean I can buy at £170 in the uk or $200. $200 dollars at current exchange rate is roughly £155, so that's essentially a £15 saving. However, I also have £65 worth of vip points, OR $65 dollars worth... If I applied them to the purchase from the USA site, I'd lose almost £15 worth of points. But then how many points would I gain from purchasing from the US site over the uk site? So... Do I purchase from the uk site and apply my vip points or not, or do I purchase from the US site and apply my points, or not...? :s Thanks! Additionally, the US site has double vip, which as far as I can tell, the UCS snowspeeder is not excluded from that, but the uk site makes no mention of double vip points... -

An image providing further speculation to the UCS mf has popped up on the Internet... Shows 75192 as $799. I dont want to post the source as the person could get in trouble from not hiding certain info... -

Fuppylodders replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Evidence? You mean hearsay and rumours... So far there is no actual evidence, but a lot of conjecture, and while I do believe it is coming, until I see some decent evidence that isn't a case of seeing the millennium falcon shape in a bowl of cheerios cereal floating in milk that everyone suddenly jumps on as 100% conclusive evidence that the UCS mf is coming, then I shall have doubt because I'd rather be prepared to be let down and be wrong, than get my hopes up only to have a Death Star laser obliterate them. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Fuppylodders replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Everything in those sets is there to teach younger builders the techniques to moc modulars. You're right, they're not modulars, but they do provide a modular quality front facade with a mini interior, and potential to expand how they wish. Not to mention those sets are a 3in1, so provide a varied building quality and more techniques. If I bought 2 of the burger bar sets (which I actually have, just not got round to doing this yet), it'd be half he price of a £120 set, which is the bottom end of the modulars pricing, and enable me to create my own mini modular following on from the techniques within the set. I really don't see the need for TLG to create a set at the £60-80 price range. There is already far too much choice to choose from as it is! -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Fuppylodders replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Don't they pretty much already exist? Like the bike shop, and burger bar etc? I wouldn't want them to go too basic with a proper modular, half the reason I like them is they go all out on everything. Their price point is clearly aimed at adults who want a decent all out set. If they start aiming for a half-price price point, I think the quality and detail would start to suffer. -
Totally falling in love with it seeing it coming together in real bricks! Out of interest, are you keeping the ldd file updated as you are building it and having to make colour changes/ structural strengthening? How much further off is the ldd file from being a complete model?
