I read that the fun in the park set has a hot dog cart with the hot dog bun we saw at angry birds sets.

According to Brickset description and the set price, seems that what you pay is what you get. Seeing the price of the last LEGO sets even there is a lot of things in the set if the price is the revealed. IMHO, a good rollercoaster set would cost (with recent price policy) arround $200

The position and future of Friends and minidolls in Lego?
El Garfio replied to Dorayaki's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Competitors are betting hard with minidolls (Knex is the last firm that has released it version of minidoll, and there is another firm of constructions, not studed bricks, but constructions at all, that has included minidolls in its sets). But, seeing angry birds sets, now for me the question is not minifigs or minidolls, either if LEGO is going to introduce more cartoon style figures in the sets if the Licensed Product requires it. I don't know if LEGO is going to sign with one of the next year best licenses (Danger Mouse and ThunderBirds) but if it does, I can hardly imagine them with minifigs, I can better imagine then with minidolls but I don't discart seeing them with cartoon style figures. Another question unresolved is the future Disney CMF and the leaked list of characters. For me, it's difficult to see some of them as minifigs. Other theme, is SUPER HERO GIRLS sets, are there some new info about them and witch kind of figs they are going to include? Rereading the TL of this post I see that the opinion I wrote in 2003 about Female Junior Sets was very accurate. Minidolls are coming to Junior Sets and it seems that it is going to stay for a long long time. -
More than the crane, I'm interesting in LEGO includes buildings like the one on the Sluban set in the next construction work sets. The buildings in the last year demolition sets were only bad built walls
-
Sluban is introducing new building workers sets at London Toy Fair. I highlight this one: I don't know what is it price, but I would like LEGO releases something similar.
-
The 27th starts the Nuremberg Toy Fair. As said, pictures are not allowed on London Toy Fair, but we all know that every year there are some pics leaked on blogs or local newspapers. And, as said too, at the end of next week we will have complete "official" info and pics of a lot of the 2nd half new releases.

I'm more of minidolls than minifigs, maybe because I'm relativity new in LEGO and don't have childhood memories about minifigs, maybe because I see them more realistic and proportionate. If Friends would have more male characters for me they will be ideal. I'm not against minifigs. I like a lot of the ones I have, but there are other that are really hard to have positive thoughts about them (specialy feminine minifigs that has no hair because she wears a hat). I understand people that like minifigs and dislike minidolls but they can give minidolls a chance. I know that it could be unrealistic sharing them as regular characters, but you can use minidolls as mannequins or as part of a rooftop ad.

Folded as the box picture is 15 wide. I think that could be fine to add one stud to "depth" on "the back side wing" and you have 16 wide biulding. For making it modular you only have to fill the blank to complete a four walls biulding. And then you can add a third floor for making it higher.

As yet said, it's a cheap way to get two important pieces Boba Fett and Hand Solo in Carbonite. Before this set was released, if you try to get them from bricklink or similar you have to pay even more than the price of this set.
-
Nice start. I'm waiting for looking more details. Post soon.

I see the volcano sets ideal to complete the mustafar scene ;) Talking now seriously, I have to study the volcano sets, better when we can see some images, but they look interesting. I'm also expecting about what TLC is going to offer us in the gas station and the fun in the park sets. And the Holliday destinations, being a €70 set could be a good addition to our cities. For this price I expect something as useful and with similar piece number than coffee and bike shop or the friends mall

The "no weapons for city because it's for kids" is not a valid argument because ninjago, TMNT, Chima are also for kids and have weapons. I think all the themes are made by the same brand (TLG). Coherence is not selling salads and high calory burguers, neither selling light soda and hypersugared milkshakes. Neither giving money to save the whales and using plumbed paint or contaminate the rivers. If you want your brand to be associated with not violence you have to be coherent and don't sale toys with weapons. If you don't care violence of weapons in licensed, historic o futurist themes, don't send messages of having violence free toys. Samples of Junior sets with weapons Due to it, it's parents responsibility decide what they want to teach their kids. Enviroment and education received is what going to drive kids playing. If kids want weapons on LEGO city they are going to make them with a piece of plastic and if kids don't want weapons they are going to take them appart from the plot of their playing even if they are playing with star wars, pirates, chima, ninjago, knights sets.
-
Being a victim of a crock could be also traumatic for a kid and there are a lot of people that live in insecure zones in where they can be assaulted, robbed, kidnapped, raped,... And having policemen armed with a lantern and a walkie-talkie chasing crocks that have dynamite, knives, axes, saws, crowbars,.... don't help to give kids the sensation of being safe. And could give kids a biased explanation of why bad boys ever win. No weapons? OK, but not crock also and less in the high percentage (there are more crocks than citizens in every year city sets new releases). And no weapons in any LEGO Themes. If we want a non violence toy is not acceptable claim a naif happy people city on where all is awesome and accepting, acclaiming and buying licensed or old ages themes full of weapons and justify them because they are based on fantasy stories that happen a long time ago or far, far away. Only creator, basic (buckets of bricks) and naif themes like Friends or Princesses are acceptable for LEGO from now.
-
OMG! There are weapons in old ages Junior sets, and in ninjago and tmnt Junior sets. Lego is evil [mode ironic off]
-
Ok, from now star wars sets without weapons: no more blasters, light sabers, laser/ions canons,... No swords on pirates, knights, Lotr, ninja go,... No muskets on Victorian soldiers. No guns. From now, The Lone Ranger has to chase the bad boys using only a lantern and a walki

Disney Princess 2016 Rumors and Discussion
El Garfio replied to Amazing Bricks's topic in LEGO Licensed
The Belle pic from the page is awful. "In person", wins a lot. I don't know if they are "distracted" molds or the inspiration of a Chinese designer, but they are quite good and quite accurate of what the official LEGO minidolls could be. The hair/wig plastic is more like the minifig ones (rigid) than like the minidolls ones (gummy). -
Disney Princess 2016 Rumors and Discussion

A question! Have Snowwhite an Belle been released as minidoll's Disney Princesses by LEGO? Because one thing is copying and other starting to design new characers? -
I'm very fan of your buildings!!! I study every detail of them with the hope of one day be able to build something similar (but I'm still far away of it).

My thoughts about new sets: Fire Brigade: I like the starter set and the 60108: Fire Response Unit (pros: I like the helicopter and the building cons: maybe I wouldn't like the price). Creator: I like 31048: Lakeside Lodge and 31050: Corner Deli and I find them useful, for adding houses to the city. City cars: I will surely buy 60113: Rally Car and 60115: 4 x 4 Off Roader. 60117: Van & Caravan is in my wishlist (waiting for better pics to decide). 60118: Garbage Truck another must buy. The cross-river ferry: I like it buy depends on the price. Police: I will surely buy the 60128: Police Pursuit and almost surely the starter set and the tyre escape.

My opinion of the new Friend sets according the pdf file of pierantoni 41115: Emma's Creative Workshop Interesting add-on to the 3936: Emma's Fashion Design Studio. The most remarkable, the sewing machine. 41116: Olivia's Exploration Car Another dull Friend car. Seeing the improvement of the city cars of 2016, this car its a bit insulting. (not even acceptable if it would be a Junior set). 41118: Heartlake Supermarket A bit disapointing. A little more than 10684-1: Supermarket Suitcase (in number of pieces, not in level) Better get the 41108: Heartlake Food Market. If there is some food accessories (the pic is not so good for seeing it) better get them via pickabrick o bricklink, and save money for buying other sets. 41119: Heartlake Cupcake Cafe The first impression brings to your mind, 3061: City Park Cafe (for the color pattern). Interesting set - added to my wishlist. Birthday sets Not my taste, but interesting for animal lovers. 41122: Adventure Camp Tree House Very interesting set. Much better than the typical Creator's cottage 41135: Livi's Pop Star House For me the best set of the semester. In the style of 41037: Stephanie's Beach House but much better. I surely buy it (a probably more than one). I hope the prize don't be more than €50

A pic of the creator Corner Delhi (31050) I like it. It's more like the bike and coffee shop than the last toys and newspaper. I surely buy it, and it depends on the price maybe more than one.
