Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion
El Garfio replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Where is the city building set that malls uses as bait on christmas? Every year malls have on their Xmas toys catalog a 70-100€ city set that uses to be a big building like a police station I thought it would be the crooks hideout, but I have read in this thread that LEGO erased it from the building instructions books where it was leaked is there anything else still "hidden"? The stunt and safari sets leaked are ugly as hell -

Subway is complicated far away of an scene of a movie Due to it's underground You have to build a tunnel for all the railway How many pieces you need for it? It's complicated even recreate a subway station due to the all the levels you have to reproduce (the street entry, the station with the ticket validation machines, the gateways, the railways, a tunnel) -

Then, the price is more disappointing than having a complete bike and a minifig for 10€ The price of a motorbike chasis and tyres is not more than 1 or 2 euros Polybags are the example -

This set has 57 parts This one 22 parts This has 10 pieces and it's the gift of a magazine What LEGO pretends to offer us with 10-17 parts stunt sets? And also charging them 10€ -

Reading rxmpf comment, comes to my mind the creator sets of buildings made of "cubes" Lego also sold them as the new standard, but two year later abandoned the "project" With the new roadplates, unless Lego surprises us, seems there will be no roadplates in summer city sets And summer sets are Xmas sets, at least in Spain, where summer sets don't arrive to toy shops until october -

We are talking about 10 years ago The list of city summer sets don't seem to include roadplates (unless they include roadplates in other colors) This doesn't seem to be logic after LEGO publishing a comunication post about thar roadplates are here to substitute the old ones Due to it, I posted that maybe the lack of roadplates in summer city sets is compensated with a bunch of creator buildings including roadplates -

With the new roadplates, LEGO could easily release a modern version of these sets -

And how old was the last city set with roadplates? Having roadplates in diferent colors may let include them in other series like expert, ideas, friends, or licensed sets IMHO, it's strange that LEGO release the new roadplates (send an official comunication saying about that they are its new standard) and then set them aside in the next bunch of city sets -

Of course But if there is a bunch of creator buildings for summer, it could justificate the lack of buildings in the city sets for summer -

Nobody contemplates that it would be a bunch of creator sets with roadplates for summer -

The first I thought when I read the 10-15 pieces stunt sets was they come with roadplates. But a road plate is 5 pieces (9 if it comes with the Ramps 4X8X6.4, W/ Wing) Maybe will have a new mould of one piece "ramp roadplate"? I have just found this on brickset Maybe a bike and something like this? -

It's the new price policy No long in the past a big police o fire station was 70€ with their big building, their helicopter, their 3 cars/vans and several minifigs Recently a big helicopter plus a police PMV was easily 49,99€ like https://brickset.com/sets/60209-1/Diamond-Heist Add the cost of one and half roadplate and the price is on nowadays average -

Shopping street is expensive (even if there is 70€ in Europe) But The Family house price is good because the last city "house" I have in mind is 60009 that was also 50€
