Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion
El Garfio replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
If you want to keep the old road plates: You can use the new roadplates for creating an square (with a fount or a statue in the middle), for creating any sort of playgrounds, or like the sets provided by lego for adding a skate park or a hockey rink (you can also add a custom basketball hoop or a football goal). The idea to use them as parking places is also interesting. I use some foam sheets for my roads If you use mils for your modulars, you can attach them to the new roads using this lego part -

Another weird detail Wash your hands poster instead of a mirror, but the weirdest thing is that there is no tap in the sink -

60290 "Skate Park" - 195 pieces, 29.99 euros Nice set, but there is a 9.99 euros car with no more else Well four minifigs but you are paying them very expensive 60291 "Family House" - 388 pieces, 49.99 euros It's the tipical Creator set that you should pay 60-70€ without roads and only one or two minifigs. Very "square" and simple, but three floors building 60306 "Shopping Street" - 533 pieces Two simple but well executed shops Two 9.99 euros vehicles and some extra personal transport items 6 minifigs Two and half road plates 60292 "Town Center" - 790 parts, 99.99 euros Too much money for one simple building We have a 20 euros vehicle set, 20 euro road plate set and some filling things Nine minifigs is a plus, but I preffer pay the same or 10 euros more for the family house plus the shopping street -

Why Lego does this kind of weird things? If there is the piece in white And there is also the white version of the W 4 knobs -

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

Why not pics are available? Why Lego spends a lot in the best toy fair and they deviate the focus to the house of dots in London? Do you know who is talking about Lego in Spain? A gossip magazine called cuore How many adult women are going to buy dots products? Because pre teen girls are not the target of cuore magazine And how many dots products they have forecasted that they are going to sell, to focus all the attention on it (because all dots sets cost less than a big friends or city set) All the other brands dying for having maximum diffusion of their products and Lego hidding them This has no sense for me -

Maybe a front and a tower of half cilinders (1 or 2 white, and 1 transparent on the top) and a 10 big pieces plane -
There is an Spanish Toyshop web that talks about slap braceletes with studs and bags of 1x1 round plates in a post of 2019 The only thing that worries me is if actual "lego dots" have enough clutch for not flying away when you slap your bracelet

As clever as use a mini clothespin and attach anything you want

Advanced Techniques o "illegal"?

But people are saying that you can't compare the BS with the Bike Shop and Café and the secong floor of both buildings of BS are 12 studs depth (10 stud habitable). Bike shop and café floors are 9/10 depth (7/8 stud habitable but no stairs) And the space on the attic of both BS buildings are ridicolous (seem more from a cheaper creator building). Bike shop and Cafe price was 70-80€ (I know, it's a 2014 price. I have at home four unopen that I bought for 40€ each but that is not relevant) and BS is marked as 160€ With 2 Bike shop and Café you can build something bigger that BS (not as detailed of course) with 1023 * 2 parts BS has 2504 parts but there are an abuse of 1x1 parts (and this is not the common Brick and more/classic set that you buy por having spare small parts) Maybe Lego should add the weight of the box because number of parts every year is more misleading for comparing sets.

The denosted previous one: Plays with the 1x1 roof slope, has tiles used in vertical, uses hinches, what new construction thecniques has the new one? Double price, not double volumen. Instead of using this part: They use 5 parts. There is a lot of 1x1 parts even more than in Lego Classic sets With that filosophy, it's not difficult to arrive to 2500 parts quickly

The set looks cool but for me, it's huge expensive. Seems like the average design of brickcitydepot (it's not bad because they are good designers, but it doesn't have the creator expert essence). Things that surprise me are, the high (very short), not tiled floors, only 5 minifigures, not special pets, no car. For me, it's a real decrease of quality.

I have seen some info about this set will cost 99€ What do you think? I find it expensive, I see it like a 70-80€ set. -
I find the new police station a no sense (a collage of things placed together). why they build the station near a cave full of dangerous animals? is the feline the guardian of the jails? A secret weapon to avoid the usual prisioners escapes?

I think the Friendship House is a good base for a nice city building mod. The problem could be the price. But on January we will have the inventory and the building instructions and I think that, for somebody with a decent stock of bricks, could be easy and cheap to build something similar.

I Know that this set is recent but I would like LEGO releases a honorific set

Seeing the prices of sets it seems that economy goes well on LEGO city. Due to it it civilian can buy better and more expensive cars, and crooks can steal better and faster cars

For the front hood of the cars TLG have used the F1 front piece and also they have used the Nexo Knight shields. It's the 3rd use for that piece: - shield - floor plate - car hood

I think we are going to have a new hospital soon. And then we will have a wheelchair in one on more sets.
-
The new "container" wall is a great new piece. We have it now in olive green in 2 city sets and in black in the Ghostbusters headquarters doors. I hope to see this wall in future harbor sets

Katy Perry and the Left Shark (freestyle LEGO version) -
I have read about $50-60 and I found it a bit expensive but acceptable/reasonable due to the content. But $90 if very, very very overpriced. There is also new torsos in junior sets, and some of them come into the $10 ones. In Christmas you can find a city fire brigade or police station for €70 (for €90 in other seasons) and both have the double number of pieces and minifigs than the gas station. Yo can buy an out of catalog modular building for the price of 2 gas stations.

It's 6 studs deep, not 6 studs wide. But great creation. 6 is a good deep (and the most accurate if you use 8x16 baseplates) but 8 is more versatil (let you create irregular facades). I'm going to study your buildings and take notes because I use to build also 3 walls buildings.
