When you start to play the ESG game you have two problems - People that is going to stop to buy your products because they think you go so far - And people that is going to stop to buy your products because they think you are not doing enough If you make a remake, keep all like the original to avoid problems (if anyone complains, you can say you only have manufactured again x number of pieces of an existing product)

The problem is that Lego can't do what they think is better because: They have problems for making redskin figures They have problems because in the need to have a goog ESG images they have been claimed to make the tow truck male and the indefense figure that needs help because its car has broken female female They also has problems by making friends boxes purple, and using pastel colors in the buildings As you can see, having a defined ESG policy not always is good for the brand I don't know today, but in my youth, castle/knight/medieval sets were for making fighting stories. I'm not defending the stereotyped roles of the pass, but it's a fact that they existed along the history, and I don't know if cancelling or hiding it is really good for the learning of youth (even being agree that some gender roles and stereotypes, need to be surpassed).

Why? If Disney or Netflix makes a movie about the character are you sure that he will remain male and white? (beacuse this is other, if the set has not yellow heads, one of the characters must be a woman, and one has to be racialized) Why not a Pectina from Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion? Why not an Alex from wizards of waverly place? (A female white hat magician, but with a naughty spirit) Why non of the characters has a disability? (having war marks it's canon in historic themes)

Adding some polemics Why not change the gender of the Majisto? It's maybe because the most stereotyped gender issue in the knights era was wizards vs witches? (As we have seen at Disney for decades) Traditionally, witches are always bad people, black magic fans (if a female makes white or positive magic is called a fairy) Wizards like Majisto (like Merlin) in knights era are known for doing white magic and being helpful to the knights (are the descendants of druids) Not all the wizards are white, like Gargamel, but Gargamel don't dress like Majisto o Merlin But, put a female face to Majisto and you get a witch, and the first you will think is that she is making strange poisons for dominating or killing their adversaries And oh wait, a witch is more accurate to knights era canon than a female warrior

The first sentence of this thread is: Is Friends the new city? I only was wrong in the issue of is friends also for boys? The correct phrase should be: is friends also for AFOLs? Because from the beginning of this year and continuing with next year, LEGO has released several sets that any AFOL want to have in his/her city

I agree that lego ESG policies are going to the far of becoming ridiculous We have some hairs that even if the head is yellow, the character adopt a certain race Also, they are including female characters in historical themes (although they try to justify it saying that is fantasy) Luckily, we have BAM, PaB and bricklink to change it if we are not comfortable with LEGO extravaganzas Lego is not going to include alternative faces or heads, or also polybags with spare pieces, because it's against their ESG policy

But the pic is from Galileo gwp set (I think it's not a set for kids) And the result, as in other adult and/or expensive sets it's an ugly grey patch if you see the set from the back (as in some side walls of even modular buildings) If I want to integrate the Galileo office in a moc the first thing I'm going to have to do is to replace the grey parts for brick yellow ones We have grey patches even on Harry Potter's sets that could be exposed in window screens It's a no sense that Lego is introducing new parts and colors to make the sets every time more realistic and we still have grey patches on the sets
-
The part is in brick yellow, medium nuggat and in reddish brown (all better than grey) But there are also this in brick yellow Why they still want to add ugly grey patches to the walls?

An art transport with a thieft in a motorbike trying to make an assault?

I was at a LEGO store this afternoon and they told me that they have already received the parts and it's all ready to sell the Christmas BAM minifigures next Thursday.
-
I went to the play area and built two vehicles inspired by the LEGO of the 70s. I also added some vintage style minifigures. I don't think even the employees of the store will understand that this was a tribute to the LEGO of the 70s.

It's a double win for lego. They sell affordable sets to videogames fans And pick a brick pieces for Afols
-
I have seen this from EllieV And it looks fantastic and more close to the videogame than the official sets How do you estimate the price of a set like this could be according to actual standards of lego?
-
If there are a cardboard camping tent in Lego Why Lego has chosen that ugly brick made one? I have seen the videogame cover and the tent is like this but in yellow The windows are a bit weird, but it's a new solution for simple buildings But the fact that you attach them by the outside is an strange building technic
