[PRESS RELEASE] 21313 LEGO Ideas: Ship in a Bottle
snefroe replied to VBBN's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I like the concept, it's a great display set that might attract people who are not aware of all the designs/sets that Lego is creating these days The bottle is way better than the original, so that's a good thing. I like the transparant parts a lot. I hope I'll see those in good quantities, condition and price on bricklink, this year and the next. The price is not so good and the reason why I'm not getting the set -

Tom, is there a reason why people have different colours in your list? -

I'll be there too for the entire event. I'll be on my own, so I'd love to share a chalet with other people. -
that is a pretty great collection indeed! I'm surprised to see so many shining golden prints and the grey parts don't look that bad either . hmmm... ... and helmets in really great condition too hmmm... well done!

I like this set a lot! In my opinion, this is finally something different for a modular house. Sure, it doesn't go very well with the other houses, but hey, surely you can fill the rest of the street yourself by now! it does look like a stand alone set, though. it's hard to imagine a street in this style without it becoming too boring. So it could be at a square or next to a highway or something. Next thing would be a gas station and a parking lot

great review! your conclusions describe my feelings toward the set pretty well. It looks so well that it could be a display set, but as a display set, it doensn't have the "star quality" it requires... As a play set, it simply doens't have enough "playability". It looks really great though...

thanks for a really great review I love this set. it looks like what a space set could be today: it looks cool, great design, a little bit challenging to build this for a 10 year old or so, lots of minifigs... great colors... detailed cockpit... what else do you need...

great moc! i kinda like the combination of a non-technic set and the power functions. lego should release the moc. pretty sure it would sell very well

the galaxy explorer looks like a sports car, the commander looks like a van. most people prefer a sports car. that's it, really. I don't think the color combination was off, honestly. I liked those colors, especially after several years of blue and grey, and the set introduced a great deal of new (or allmost new) parts. The design was simply not as good. Lego also did not stop the galaxy's production when the commander came out. Both were available at the same time. That probably didn't help either.

great review! I actually quite like this tank. It's highly creative, a bit weird, but in my opinion, pretty cool the cockpit is not all that special though. that could have been a lot better. the gun... hmmm....

oh my god... gotta have one ... it looks like the under side of the ship is not as detailed. so they still left some room for improvement ah yes ... those legs... need to change those too... yeah... that's right, in my mind, this babe is already mine!

what a brilliant creation! what I love the most, is, as you, yourself indicated as well, this "flow of history"... a Roman temple becomes a market place, 400 years later, and another 400 years later, it's some sort of a warehouse and yet another 400 years later, it's part of a larger monument at the city center... can't wait to see more stuff like this! sne

hmmm... I love the big lego technic sets, but this... hmmm... i dunno... it doesn't really look awesome or appealing to me. then there are the powerfunctions... hmmm... is there anything new? something we havent seen before? nope, doesn't look like it. I do like the small details though, like the bear at the front think i'll skip this one...

this giant set is amazing! love Lego's creativity here... not too sure my wallet wants me to buy this though... -
hmm... in my opinion, not a great set at all... I just don't like it.

well i'm surprised to see a more complex design than I first thought. The rocket looks pretty nice, however, as such doesn't really appeal to me. Don't really understand why they're launching this set, honestly...

this is a pretty nice set! I am surpised, though, that Lego is producing a set in this theme so soon after the last carousel. I guess they're quite popular...

what a great model it's quite expensive though... 200 euro... hhhhmmmm....
