While the Cuusoo thing sounds good in theory, in practice megablocks rules like this make it suck. So, all we get out of it is megablocking Minecraft sets. I think that Cuusoo should be modified to be more like Kickstarter, so for like new parts or a run of sets, contributors could pledge money. I think that that would be a great thing, because it could allow Lego to do things it would never ordinarily do.

LDD 4.3.8
Saberwing40k replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
We still don't have the L and servo motors, and I still see multiple bugs that have been around for a long time. This update was huge, but it didn't really do much. -
[MOD] Zorex
Saberwing40k replied to legomania94's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
And what would that be? Does he want a dozer blade or adjustable tracks, or something? In any case, it's easier to put another battery box and reciever in the undercarriage. -
[MOD] Zorex
Saberwing40k replied to legomania94's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I've understood nothing in this thread. Unless everybody is talking about a different Zorex, Jurgen's model already has continuous slewing, so I'm failing to see what the problem is. -
I find this set to be at best average. It's not really challenging, or that special, in terms of building techniques, and not that good a source for parts. I'm also highly dubious of the new 3l wormgear. I mean, I fail to see how this is in any way an improvement over the old one, and what it adds to building capability.

Behold, my entry for the Triple Challenge! My entry is an 8x4 truck, with HOG steering, an opening hood and canopy, fake V-8, and locking 5th wheel. The truck pulls a trailer based on a Drake 4x8 Swingwing Trailer, with 2x8 dolly. It features adjustable width, like the real thing, suspension, loading ramps, and spare wheels. On the trailer is carried a pick and carry crane, with pneumatic boom lift, extensible boom, articulated steering, and a manual winch. More info about the details will come tomorrow, cause it be midnight where I am.

Theme Month for Technic

Here's an idea, how about Trucktober? Or Oktobertruck? That would be fun. -
What you're building sounds like a Grove GTK 1100: Except, your crane won't be mounted on a trailer, but a regular crane base. More info in this article: http://www.vertikal....ews/story/5116/ Also, I'm building a nine axle crane with crab steer, so you might want to follow along with how I'm making that work.

I am attempting to build a nine axle mobile crane, and I want it to be able to achieve all modes of the real thing, including crab steer. I know that Liftingbricks has done this with his crane, but I can't figure it out. The constraints I'm working under are as follows: I have only two motor channels to work with. I want the axles, except for one, to steer proportionally in normal steer mode. One axle will be locked. I only have short, new gearracks in the required quanity. The crane has suspension, with live axles. Any help and suggestions are welcome.

Luckily, I have neither children nor pets. On the other hand, some of my models self destruct.

Yee Haw! I uploaded most of the pictures to my Brickshelf account, for your viewing pleasure. Now, how's about some analysis? 42020 The box isn't anything really special, nothing we haven't already seen. B model The B model is absolutely adorable! By itself: 42021 changes somewhat form the earlier images, gaining some funky lime green and black stickers. B Model ......... WTF is this!? In this picture, we can more clearly the new dog bone piece, as well as something else. See those black pins on the wishbone arms? I think those are new. 42022 Oddly, this box is the only one that has the Building Digital placard. I dunno what that means. Also, what is up with the blower? That connection should be impossible. B model More info about the app, and it looks like we've got two of the new tires on the back wheels. Also, it looks as if the exaust tips are new parts. 42023 Looks like the wheel loader has the new tires. Also, the truck's cab has been massively redesigned, no longer incorporating blue panels, and looking more cohesive. In addition, the excavator has changed quite a bit, and the bigger boulder parts were swapped out for 2x2 round bricks. Back of box: No b models, sadly. 42024 This shows that we are getting a 5x11 yellow panel! B model and back of box: I have no comment on the grader. 42025 Awww Yeah! This looks even better with stickers. I've got to get a better job so I can buy these! B Model This is going to be one of the biggest hovercraft models Lego has ever made. 42026 and 42027 I'm lumping these two together, cause I care very little about them. Combo model It looks like it's going to be a good year, with the plane. I'm waiting on everything else. Sadly, I cannot read the dimensions on the new tires.

I just checked the US site, and the servo motor is still unavailable.

some people have told me I have too much free time. Oh, is extra time to do what you love a bad thing? This applies to all of my hobbies, and my crane otaku habit as well.

And a different tread pattern, don't forget. Also, we have the 5L axle with stop, and a new type of pin, like the existing axle pin, but with the pin side 1 stud longer. And, after some careful evaluation of the pictures, we have some possibilities of new parts. I say possibilities because the art is after all, preliminary. 42022 Hot rod may have new pieces as the exhaust tips, and right at the front of the engine might be a new type of pin as well. But given the other errors on the box, this seems unlikely. The snowmobile has the new suspension arms, and a new steering knuckle to go with them. The cargo plane has the new 3x11 panels. These are just my observations, there was also a write up on TBs that got deleted with more info, although that disappeared, and I can't find a cached version.

Hmm, the EV3 P-brick has a USB port on it, right? So, in theory, you'd be able to connect a WeDo hub to the brick and interface PF motors that way. Or maybe that isn't possible?
