I don't understand why you think the GotG would be a risk, just because they may not be as well known. Seriously Man of Steel sets are a hundred times more risky than GotG.

I haven't bought a Star Wars set for about 1 year, as I've been busy with superheroes. The only exception was the Clone vs Droidika battle pack which I got in Febuary. However today I decided to buy 75015 corporate alliance tank droid. I managed to get it for £11 and its incredible. Another awesome clone trooper and Jango Fett is just perfect, he's possibly one of the best Star Wars figures to date.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Sam892 replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Ah ok thanks, didn't realise it was being discussed elsewhere. -
Does anyone know how much you have to spend in the UK to get the clone lieutenent, in September. I know in the US it's $50, but it changed in the UK constantly. Jor el was $75 and £50 Hulk was $50 and £25 Iron man with drone was $50 and £25 So am I right in thinking its £25?
-
I think I could do with one of those sentinels to cool my house down in the summer haha.
-
The lieutenent figure looks great. I know it's $50 in the US but it will be interesting to see how it translates to the UK. There's never a standard, with $75 it's usually £50. However with $50 it could be either £25 or £50. If its £25 I could hopefully be able to pick up a couple.

Next CUUSOO set: 21103 Back to the Futureâ„¢ Time Machine
Sam892 replied to Blakstone's topic in LEGO Licensed
Exactly especially when they saw everyone moaning about how the set looked, before seeing reviews or proper pictures of it. They most likely thought that everyone hated it. -
Haha ye I certainly remember that.

The new multiplayer trailer looks awesome. I wasn't sure if I wanted multiplayer but it looks pretty fun.

Reading a lot of these comment one point that keeps coming up is that it attracts attention to the LEGO both. Here's where that isn't a good thing on the Thursday there were so many people pushing and shuving at the booth that Fights broke out. Due to this event organisers made LEGO stop Fridays giveaway. Here fans of LEGO trying to look at the new sets were bullied out of the booth by scalpers, how is this good? After this the following 3 days the giveaway was held at a different location, it was on the next floor which meant that it didn't attract people to the LEGO booth. So anyone in line for these figs on those days didn't even have to go to the booth and look at the new sets.

I don't have a problem with either Exclusives or giving them to kids but I feel that SDCC isn't the best place. Mainly because you have to be over 12 years old to go into the con. This isn't LEGOs main Age group still, and to me anyone between the ages of 12 and 20 is a teenager. Also making people wait in a line for a long period of time when they never had a chance to win is unacceptable really.

After reading some more of the three articles FBTB has posted in regards to this, it does look very fishy. Hopefully LEGO will issue another statement in a few days stating whether it was or wasn't fixed. If it was I would rather LEGO tell us that it was. What is clear is that next LEGO need to improve a lot at SDCC.

I don't see how it would undo number 1 or 2, but I wouldn't put it past Singer. He did this with Superman erased Superman 3 and 4, using returns as a sequel to 2.
-
My guess is Bishop comes from the future to warn the Present X-men who send Wolvie to go visit the First class team. I'm think Singer will use this film to fix a lot of continuity errors and maybe wipe both Last Stand and Origins from cannon.

Review Review: 21103 Back To The Future Time Machine
Sam892 replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Depends where abouts in the world you live. If its the USA then it's August 1st. However some Countries in Europe have got them a early, however by now I would have thought that most of them are sold out.- 207 replies

I positive we will see this fig in a future set for two reasons. 1. This figure uses two new molds ( head and claw ). To create a single mold it costs a huge amount of money, so for two molds it would cost double. I doubt that LEGO would invest presumably tens of thousands of dollars creating two molds for one figure, that would be made in a limited quantity and given away for free. Even if its just a variation of this fig maybe using flesh colour or tan colour or white. 2. I haven't read the Hobbit but from the first film I got the feeling that Azog will be an important character in either the second or third film.

I haven't decided whether it was rigged or not and I haven't seen enough evidence yet. However I understand why people would be angry if this is true. First off if LEGO wants to give them to kids just put an age limit on the giveaway, I think the main problem is that LEGO has lied to people. If I had been told everyone had an equal chance and I didn't when compared to someone else I would be upset as well. The second problem is that many people got back in the queue to try and win a Minifigure. Some people spent a lot of time trying to get a fig by joining the end of the line again and again. Now if they had nearly no chance of winning because of their age, then they have wasted precious time they could have used else where. At somewhere like SDCC there's lots of cool stuff going on and to miss some cool things because your trying to get, an cool Exculsive figure must be frustrating for many if its rigged.

Lego Marvel Superheroes Game Announced
Sam892 replied to MattZitron's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I think that's what they said at E3. They most likely either haven't changed the dates yet or got them confused with the next gen versions. I'm so happy Iron Patriot is through Amazon. It's a lot easier than going to the store to pick it up. I know if I had to have gone to game I would have bought another game or a film or whatever as well. -
I heard somewhere ( can't remember where ) that Wolvie will have the classic yellow and blue in DOFP. Also I remember Hugh Jackman saying at Comic con that he was walking around in his DOFP costume and no one recognised him.

According to Brickset, Amazon UK has the Iron Patriot preorder.

I don't think LEGO would have a problem with the violence with the character, I mean Wolverine is extremely violent in both comics and film. I think it's more to do with the religious aspects of the character. Ghost Rider is usually connected to the Devil, due to this I could see LEGO stating away from him.

Maybe but I can't see LEGO taking on more Marvel properties at the moment. I know they Own the rights but they are already making: Marvel Cinematic Universe sets X-men Sets USM sets And possibly Amazing Spider-man sets. The Cinematic stuff is quite a lot already, Thor, Cap and GotG.

Review Review: 21103 Back To The Future Time Machine
Sam892 replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Well on CUUSOO the same team behind this set have both a large Delorean model similar to the VW, and the Train from part 3. Hopefully if this set sells well then like Minecraft LEGO will produce them.- 207 replies

I'm surprised we didn't here anything about Jurrassic Park I'VE at comic con. Maybe they don't have a lot to tell us. That said WB announced Batman vs Superman and the only info they could give us was the director, writer and MoS cast. Hopefully Sam Neil and Jeff Goldblum will return. They were great in 2 and 3 but I think they work best opposite each other.

I feel certain characters need to be big figs. While the Hulk promo was cool it was very inaccurate. Characters like Juggernaut, Abomination, Rhino, Blob even The Thing or Lizard depending on what artist/writer has been used in the comics. I would much rather see these big figures than see Rhino or Juggernaut as standard figures, personally I think they would look stupid. The Hulk promo fig when next to the rest of the Avengers looks like a joke. I'm positive that the only reason Colossuss and King pin are big figs in the game is to give more variety. If your playing the game and have to keep using hulk for certain sections it will get repetitive. Also I don't think having more big figs diminishes anything. If anything it shows that LEGO want to make sure certain Characters look right and don't look ridiculous.
