  1. I don't see why we would get sets based on GOTG. The movie will most likely do well as its tied in with the Avengers. Many people know who they are despite what many people are saying, there is a large fan base. It's exactly like Doctor Strange, Ant man and Black Panther. Just because they are not mainstream characters doesn't mean that they won't get the LEGO treatment. Before 2008 not many people would have know about Iron man, Captain America and Thor. Now they are the Marvel poster boys.
  2. I can't see them using transparent red for the touch. Maybe Transparent orange but that's been around for ages, I remember seeing them in 2001 sets. Personally I don't think the Toirch should be transparent as he isn't in the comics.
  3. So the set comes out in 8 days, but there hasn't been a official press release or proper unveiling. LEGO are really playing this close to the end.
  4. I'm unsure about getting this set. While I love playing Minecraft, I'm not sure if this set is 'worth it'. There's nothing that I can see being hugely special apart from the Creeper and Steve. Would you guys recommend picking it up? I'm a lot more tempted with news of other Minecraft sets coming out.
  5. While I'm not surprised at the two rumoured sets (nether and NPC viage) I am surprised they haven't made one around the Enderdragon. Hopefully one will be made in the future as its the main boss.
  6. That's interesting although I assume if we do get pre avengers sets that they will be like the Harry Potter sets and be best of sets.
  7. Richard Attenborough could just have a cameo role in the film like he did with JP2. By the sounds of the rumoured plot, he could be on a news station trying to get the new park shut down. Galaxy Explorer I agree about the Tame dinosaur idea, but I'm not sure a reboot would have been the best idea. Many people would be incredibly angry if it was remade, and wouldn't give the film a chance. Many people consider this film a classic like Star Wars or Back to the Future and would strongly avoid a reboot. I wouldn't mind personally. And while your right out understanding of Dinosaurs have changed over the years, people still instantly recognise the classics scaled creatures. However they may feel put off looking at a T-Rex with feathers because it would differ largely from what has been ingrained in our minds over the years. But it would be the same whenever they make the film. If they remade JP with Dinosaurs more like how we currently believe they now looked, I'm sure out understanding would change again in 30 years.
  8. There's some new JP news out. It came out a while ago but I forgot to post about. First of the a new release date has been shown, while it doesn't give the exact month and date a poster at the Licencing Expo for Jurassic Park had 2015 underneath it. Which is good and bad for me at the same time, it's good that we don't have to wait another four or five years but there's already a ton of films coming out that year. Terminator 5, Star Wars VII, Avengers 2, Ant man, Pirates 5, Independence Day 2, Fantastic four, Assassins Creed and a possible Justice League. The second piece of news is about the possible plot of the film. Apparently the Original island has been turned back into a theme park, all of the dinosaurs are either muzzled or tamed and the park brings in millions of dollars very year. Again the inevitable happens and a couple of dinosaurs break out and start attacking guests. At this point the main characters decide to use the tamed Dinosaurs to fight the rouge ones. Also Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neil and Richard Attenborough are also apparently in talks to reprise their roles from the previous films. None of this has been confirmed as of yet but the rumour seems to be circulating around a lot of sites.
  9. I just picked up my first turtle set yesterday and I love it. it was the Krang Lab Escape which I wasn't sure about. However for £10 and three figs I can't really complain, Mikey is great and I think I will have to get more of the TMNT range.
  10. I picked up one Gandalf PolyBag today. It's pretty nice but I'm more pleased that Polybags are being sold now. I bought a galaxy squad PolyBag that I think is awesome.
  11. The Sony contract is different now. Sony sold the merchandise rights to all the Amazing Spider-man films to Marvel. This is because Sonys in debt. Unfortunately Megabloks grabbed the rights to the first film before Sony sold the merch rights to Marvel.
  12. Does it? See his is what I'm talking about include the Sticker in the Delorean . Here's a picture of Marty Mcfly's Skateboard for anyone who can't remember it http://iamrabbani.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/valterraboard-lg.png Apart from that and the Hood, the set is very accurate in terms of the Minifigure printing and size of the car. On another note Marty reminds me of Frodo or Luke Skywalker. Do the mini figures share the same head? Also I hope they have alternate faces.
  13. Apparently WHSmiths will be selling other Polybags starting this weekend. Brickset have a List of them. I think it's to collide with the promo.
  14. I really like this PolyBag. It includes a rare figure, that just by being here doesn't ruin the set that he's currently in. By that I mean look at Gandalf arrives. I know the Set isn't expensive but both figures come in Polybags. I can easily see this becoming the Urak hai of 2013.
  15. I know this is really picky of me, but from the picture the skateboard is pretty inaccurate. Marty's skateboard in the film has a purple underneath, a black top and yellow wheels. I don't think it would have been difficult for lego to have included a black sticker for the top of the board. They've done it for other skateboards and the wheels have also been produced in Yellow before. I know it's very picky and not at all reflective of the overall set, but it would have been cool of LEGO to have done this. At the moment it seems that Mcfly has stolen It from Donatello.
  16. Personally I agree. People who don't like the hood can always view the set as a BTTF parts pack with Doc and Marty with most of the parts for the car. I may personally try to mod the hood but I'm not sure if the hood needed to be sloped. Sure the real life counter part has a slopled hood, but maybe a flat hood would look alright.
  17. We can still techically get the FF characters. We already have Doctor Doom as a Minifigure and The Thing just appeared in most recent Ultimate Spider-Man episode. So just because we most likely wont get FF sets, we still get the characters as a compromise.
  18. Well looks like I'm going to be checking Eurbricks every 30mins for the next few weeks.
  19. There's tons of potential sets especially if each set allows you to switch from film to film. An example would be the town square, could be either the 1950s skateboard chase, normally 1985 or the hover board chase.
  20. Well those Figs look amazing, most likely I'll get next time I'm at the LEGO store. The Car itself isn't terrible, I'm sure some mods to the hood could be made to make it look better. Overall this set is pretty good. The only thing I wanted that isn't there is the Gibson 1963 ES-345TD guitar for the Under the Sea dance. I know it doesn't fit the scene but still would have been awesome.
  21. LEGO would not be on the list because they don't sell the exclusive figures. They give them away in raffles, because of this they wouldn't be on such a list.
  22. I don't figured would be the problem. You could easily put Tim Drake, Alfred, Nightwing, Batgirl, Batman, Talia and Ras al ghul in the set. The main problem for me would it would be a wasted chance to get something new. Really the X-mansion would be best. All brand new figures, with a cool looking mansion. I'm sure if anyone really wants a Wayne manor they can adapt the X-mansion to look like it. That way both DC and Marvel fans get something.
  23. Comic con pictures are fine as they only show Minifigures and no sets. They also tend to not show any characters who based on Film characters ( the expecting being the first year when they showed the Avengers, most likely because the nearly the whole wave was movie based). It's the London Toyfair who don't allow pictures, and LEGO don't allow photos of Sets based around the films. However I'm guessing like last year most of the first wave will be Comic or TV based, so there should be no problem photographing those figures.
  24. Just saw the movie tonight, I loved it. By far the best Superman movie. It was a great way of Starting up the DCCU, a couple of references here and there. Overall I only thing that bothered me were flashbacks within flashbacks.
  25. I've been to Reading festival for the last 2 years and seen the following: Greenday, Foo fighters, The Black keys, Kaiser Cheifs, The Cure, Paramore, Jake Bugg, The Hives, Pulp, The Strokes, Beady eye, My Chemical Romance, 30 seconds to Mars, At the drive in, Eagles of Deathmetal, Madness, The offspring, The Maccabees, Band of Skulls, Gaslight anthem, Folerance and the Machine and many many more.
