  1. Ye it is. Ed Norton didn't want to come back for The Avengers so they recast him. They also reference Incredible Hulk in the Avengers, Banner says something about last time he was in Harlem. Which is where the final Act is set in the Hulk film.
  2. Or you could use him to form bridges or ladders. Maybe even a catapult to launch characters across the level.
  3. Well Arkham came out December 31st so I really consider it a 2013 set so I'm guessing it will be the same with the next one. Plus we didn't really know anything about Arkham until the autumn of last year.
  4. I've stated somewhere before I believe it will be Marvel and X-men. LEGO like to swap between the two companies each year. As an example in 2012, Marvel had an Exclusive figure (hulk) and DC got the Big Exclusive, a dictionary and a Videogame. This year DC got the promo figure (Jor-el) and Marvel got the Videogame. This leads me to marvel for the next big exclusive. Also X-men simpler because Marvel hinted a more X sets, and the mansion is similar to Arkham.
  5. The problem with a film like Wreck it Ralph is that the sets wouldn't easily appeal to everyone. When you look at the three main locations: Ralph's game Heroes Duty and Sugar rush They would sell better to different people. Sugar Rush would be very similar to The current Friends theme, while Heroes Duty is more like Galaxy conquest. You couldn't really aim a Sugar rush set at the same audience as the Heroes Duty set. The Girls would buy the Sugar Rush set and the Boys the Heroes Duty. This would create a spilt down the middle of the theme, which would damage sales. When LEGO make a theme they need to aim the Theme at a selected demographic. When a Kids into a theme they will try to get as many sets as possible. However when someone's put off by half the theme they will stay away from the sets and LEGO will loose money.
  6. I knew about the Hulk one but not the White Batman one. Looks cool but we already have an Batman keychain. Someone like Aquaman or Joker, maybe even a DKR Bane.
  7. Here it is http://www.cosmicbooknews.com/content/disney-buys-amazing-spider-man-merchandise-rights-sony-keeps-movie-deal It's from a while back but I'm guessing Megabloks got the rights back in early 2011.
  8. A thought just occurred to me. Sony sold all the merchandise rights to the Amazing Spider-man back to Marvel last year. This means that all toys from there on are controlled and decide through Marvel, Sony has no input. It may have been to late for the first film, but it could mean that we will get sets based on The Amazing Spider-man 2 next year. Mega Bloks will have got the licence well before the sale to Marvel. However since its now Marvel owned it could go to LEGO.
  9. A great example is Green Lantern. The trailers (especially the third trailer) were really good am got me excited for the film. However it was such a let down. Hopefully this will be the start of a great shared universe which focuses on Quality instead of quantity.
  10. So Singer just revealed that Quicksilver will be in DOFP. So looks like we will get two versions of him in the space of a year. Word is Marvel is very, very angry about this.
  11. I like the new Xbox but some things bothered me. First off the whole used game thing doesn't just apply to used games. If you want to multiple accounts use one disc you have to pay a fee. Which means parents with two kids have to pay an extra amount of money if they want both kids to play a game. Same as with a boyfriend and a girlfriend one has to pay a fee. The second is that kinect has to always be plugged in. I never bought kinect because I personally don't like the whole idea behind it, that's why I sold my wii. I don't want to have to shout at an electronic device, I have Siri but its never used. Mainly because picking up a controller isn't really an inconvience. Lastly nearly everything they showed off TV wise only really was relevant to the USA. I'm not sure how any of that transfers to the UK. While I wouldn't have expected anything really detailed, it would have been nice if they just said " and its the same in Europe but with their channels".
  12. I don't think its Batmans fault he's popular I think its all down to DC. If they gave some of there other heroes more exposure then we would probably have sets around those heroes. However DC don't seem to be great at promoting their characters like Marvel are. The Green Lanturn movie flopped and none of his merchandised sold well at the time. That's mostly the reason that there was no merchandise around the recent kids show. LEGO took a change on him but only as an ultra build, which to my knowledge didn't seek well. DC did the same with Young Justice no Merchandise around the property, which doesn't generate a lot of interest out side the show. When you compare that to Ultimate Spider-man which has a lot of Merchandise ( including LEGO ), its clear to see why kids want Batman. If DC made good films and TV shows and then based good merch around it, I'm sure the Flash and Wonder Woman would appeal to kids. Hopefully Man of Steel will change that...
  13. I know but I think pearl grey would piss a lot of people off. Plus a promotional chrome surfer would intice a lot of people into buying a set, while the promotion was on.
  14. Not sure. The Fantasic Four haven't really had any new publicity. That said maybe LEGO will release one set since Galactus and the FF are in the LEGO Marvel superheroes video game. Silver surfer would be difficult, since he's silver. LEGO would have to use silver chrome, which is usually reserved for promotional figures. It's not impossible, but a unlikely we will see him soon.
  15. Oops my bad sorry was reading that late last night and totally misread it haha.
  16. No that's a new suit. The Iron man 2 suit has a round reactor whereas that's square. Plus in the Iron man 3 prelude comic ( set between 2 and 3 ), Tony takes back Rhodeys suit and builds him the square reactor one. Mainly because the orginal suit was mostly design by Justin Hammer, which Tony sees as a large insult on his work.
  17. Well from the trailer you can see that Superheroes and other weird creatures are in the show, its not just people in suits.
  18. As far as I know all the Characters are new. However the Superhero in the yellow trousers is from the comics. At the moment I think its Patriot but it could be anyone.
  19. The problem with 3D printing is that its still no where near as good as the current methods LEGO use. It's also expensive, which is why I don't understand the large coverage around the 3D printed gun. It's cheaper to buy a gun and it still needs metal parts to work. In LEGO terms though we have a printer that prints in ABS but, its a lot easier to mass produce plastics with injection moulding. I also doubt that the quality of printing will reach a point where it be on par with LEGOs quality for a while at least. The same Arguement with the printed gun is that anyone can do it. Which is true however they need to have a machine that costs upwards of £5000 plus materials. It's not economically viable for a good few years.
  20. Problem is that especially with the marvel movies, the hype for kids has gone. LEGO sets take a year each to plan. So by the time they made movie accurate stuff, so by the time sets were released the majority of kids would more interested in Captain America 2. If the kid who played Harley is right, and the guys who did the X-men panel are right then we are getting some cool stuff. But with Thor coming out as well I'm guessing that Spidey will have to wait a bit for more sets. I'm still sticking to my guns and saying that X-men will be the S@H Exculsive. Plus if the new Iron man set does have Harley then I'm guessing he's just shoe horned in to a set.
  21. Well like cage is in the trailer and he isn't a agent. Plus its also part of MCU.
  22. After watching the trailer for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D I find it unlikely that one of next years sets isn't based around it. It looks like it will have a few Super heroes that could be made into figs ( I won't spoil or list them ). The waves have to get bigger next year.
  23. Tescos has all the Iron man sets reduced. Ultimate Showdown £8 Seaport escape £13 Malibu Mansion £23
  24. I'm starting to think that Avengers 2 will start to introduce other Avenger teams. I would love for Rhodey to join a west cost Avengers or new Avengers team, maybe move Widow and Hawkeye to a new team aswell. Chuck in Daredevil, Doctor Strange and possibly Spidey, and we have a cool seperate Avengers team.
  25. Personally I love the idea of Quicksilver and Scarlet witch being in Avengers 2. Both those characters have been Avengers since the 60's, so its not a huge shock. The line up so far is: Captain America Iron man Hulk Thor Ant man Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. That leaves room for Wasp and some others. Not sure whether Hawkeye and Black widow will return though.
