  1. Agreed the Astonishing version looked a lot more professional as well. The one problem I find with Mistique was the hair piece. It didn't look like its possible in real life, it seems to curve around the bottom of the head. I would think that would create a problem when assembling the Minifigure and when trying to switch to an alternate face. My guess is that the figure wouldn't be based on the game version. I also thing we may get some X-men who army in the game. Maybe Rouge, Shadow car, Nightcrawler or even Scarletwitch or Quicksilver ( while the last two aren't x-men, there's a big push for them at the moment ). I can't see either Colossus or Juggernaut this wave as Colossus didn't really look professional again and while Juggernaut did, I can't see us getting two Maxifigs in a year. We're already getting USM Goblin, if they make Colossus a normal figure then I could see it happening.
  2. That's also from Ultimate Spider-man. In Electros first appearance it's explained that he's a really crappy second rate villain who Spider-man doesn't really consider a threat. He wears that original green and yellow costume for about 10 mins, before being over loaded with electricity and mutating into his ultimate form. So really both versions of electro have appeared on the show, but the Ultimate version is the one they have been sticking with after that episode. Also since we're getting Classic Ock, I'm predicting that we will get a Classic Green Goblin down the line.
  3. Top gear isn't a reality show, it's entertainment. It doesn't have a voting system where people can vote others off, nor does it follow the day to day life of the presenters. The show is scripted and also has a review element to it. This theme has a lot of potential for vehicles, in the concept photos the car resembles an aerial atom which is cool. Hopefully it will give us a chance to get a lot of real world cars along with some new studio type stuff. This theme reminds me a lot of the 2001 Studios theme.
  4. Not really, does anything really truly translate in to LEGO? Look at other themes like Star Wars, where some characters heads can't turn, or Superheroes where Hulks legs can't move, look at how Minifigures aren't really proportionate to real humans. Look at how Vehicles like Starfighters and Cars loose some features and scale when they become sets, look at how some certain curves can't be recreated in LEGO which can sometimes make stuff look off. Certain angles can't be achieved either . Nothing can be translated perfectly into LEGO, saying that Simpsons shouldn't have been made when like every theme it has translation problems is just silly. Every theme has it. Yoda isn't a true representation of his size when put next to a mini figure, he should be smaller. The ninja turtles can't move there legs back, Jack Sparrow and Tonto can't move there heads. Gollum can't move his legs and is fixed in one position, the Delorean is too big. Bane is too Small, LEGO cars can't fit five mini figures in without making the car a ridiculous size. Nothing translates perfectly the Simpsons figures are fine really.
  5. The Electro variant in the LEGO Marvel Superheroes game is called Ultimate Electro, which to me confirms it's based on the cartoon. Those sets do appear to be old though, I doubt that Megabloks would release sets 4/5 months before the new film. Also wouldn't they have The Amazing Spider-man 2 written on them? Instead of just The Amazing Spider-man.
  6. I think it depends on the audience, so far all the DC TV shows are more adult aimed. Arrow isn't really appropriate for kids, and other announced DC shows most likely won't be either like Gotham and Constatine. Maybe Flash but since it's a spin off of Arrow I doubt it. The other problem is that all of the DC TV shows are on Cable TV, which limits the amount of people potentially seeing it. If the Shows are linked to the DC Cinematic Universe then we may get Young Justice sets, but we don't really know anything about it yet.
  7. While I agree that Wasp is great as an individual character, and doesn't need Antman to work, I would rather see them together in Antman. I think both Antman and Wasp need an intro before Appearing in the Avengers. Otherwise they will just be wasted. It worked for Hawkeye and Black Widow because their SHIELD agents and don't really need an origin story. They also don't have any powers where as Wasp and Antman do.
  8. Finally got around to picking up my first modular. I've been meaning to pick it up for about a year and a half and finally bit the bullet. I got the Fire Brigade and after building it, I'm disapointed in myself for not picking this up earlier. It's great and most likely the best Set I currently own. I'm so glad I grabbed it before it is discontinued. I'm hoping the next modular is a police Starion or maybe a Newspaper company.
  9. Again the same from the video game. He looks good but I'm guessing he comes with hair as he isn't bald in the cartoon. Maybe the hair is a new piece and manufactured in a different factory?
  10. Mary Jane looks awesome, same as the game accept for the hair style. Hopefully we will start to see more of the New Marvel figures over the next few weeks.
  11. They have been members of the Avengers for over 40 years, and are more so Avengers than X-men villains.
  12. It wouldn't be anything new, from the Trailer you can see it's basically vehicles that LEGO has already made, A Quinjet, Attack planes and Jeeps all of which have already been made. Also from the looks of the film, it will eventually become Cap vs S.H.I.E.L.D, which would incredibly confusing for younger kids when LEGO has constantly been showing them as good. I would much rather see Superheroes instead of rehashed spy stuff.
  13. But movie sets are very limiting, where as the TV sets are more diverse. If they made Cap 2 sets we would only get WS, Black Widow, Cap, Fury, Falcon and Cross bones. All of those characters would be too S.H.E.I.L.D heavy, and in all honesty I think we've had way too many sets based around that organisation. So far Four out of 11 Marvel sets have been S.H.I.E.L.D vehicles. Also all of those characters are very similar, there either Soliders, Mercs or Spy's. At least with the Avengers sets were getting a bit more variety with a selection of Hydra, Mercs, Experiments gone wrong, Asguardians, a Hulk, a super solider ect. It kind off keeps the theme fresh. All the Cap sets would be rehashes of Avengers sets, it would be another S.H.I.E.L.D jeep with Fury and WS, another Quinjet with Falcon, another Helicarrier room with Cap and Black Widow. While the jeep is black in the trailer, so was the Jeep the Cosmic cube escape set was based on. It would just be Dark blue vehicles. At least next years Movie sets, Guardians of the Galaxy will be entirely original.
  14. Well it looks a little strange that both the Spider-trike, Spider-Coptor and Juniors set, all have the actual Spider-man figure ( medium Blue with printing). Yet the Dr Octopus set has a unprinted Dark blue and Red figure, if that isn't an indication of a new Figure I don't know what is.
  15. Or if anyone was lucky enough to get a 2012 comic con Shazam figure, they could just add the white hood for the new 52 variant. It's crazy to think how many different colour variations of the Jedi hood we have now. In the last 2 years we've gotten Dark Blue, Red, Dark Red, Dark Green and now White. I think we can assume that Falcon will look like he does in the LEGO MARVEL shorts, and so will Red Skull.
  16. The short Robin is Damian Wayne, not Jason Todd. Damian is the son of Bruce Wayne and Talia Al ghul, he was raised by the League of Shadows to become an assassin. however after meeting Batman he becomes the fifth Robin. Damian has short legs as he is only around 10 or 11 years old in the comics.
  17. The new Captain America set is based on The Avengers assemble cartoon as far as we know, not the upcoming film.
  18. I also think it's unfair to blame LEGO for the set choices. Last year and this year everyone was complaining about the huge number of movie based sets. Now everyone's complaining about the lack of movie sets. I remember everyone complaining about the lack of Villains on the Marvel side. Next year we're getting 5 new villains one redesigned villain and on top of that GotG and X-men villains. We will most likely see Nebula and the Collector from Guardians which is another two to the list. It's a bit crazy to me that everyone's still complaining about this theme, to me it looks like LEGO and Marvel have tried quite hard to keep fans happy while still aiming the stuff at Kids. All of the major complaints ( at least on the marvel side ) seem to have been addressed. Lack of Villains Lack of non movie based stuff Lack of X-men It just seems that LEGO will never be able to please people.
  19. If it was an exclusive then we wouldn't have even seen the prelims for it. We never saw prelims for Jokers Funhouse or Baxters robot Rampage or any of the Star Wars exclusives. So by just seeing the SR prelims, I think LEGO has stopped walmart from posting more pics.
  20. I'm guessing so will the Doc Ock/ Spidey set. Besides every Superheroes wave needs a 3 figure set worth around £20/$20, there hasn't been a wave without one ( first wave Lex vs Supes, second Shield Truck and Chopper showdown, third Arctic Batman and Spider bike, forth Extremis seaport and Black zero ). So the fifth wave will be the Bat copter and Sixth will be the Security truck attack. Haha LEGO sure know what we want.
  21. I love Arrow season 2 has been amazing so far. Season 1 was good but it had some really bad episodes. According to a recent rumour posted on Comicbookmovie.com, in the Batman vs Superman Barry Allen and Wonderwoman are set to make small appearances. However DC are waiting to see how Fans react to the Arrows version of the Flash to see if they use the same actor, or recast and keep TV and Movies seperate. Not sure how true that is but either way I can't wait to see the Flash.
  22. I got my copy on Friday with Iron Patriot. I have to say both the figure and Game are great, it's a bit glitchy but so far I haven't experienced any glitches that haven't happen in Previous LEGO games.
  23. Is it? I could have sworn it was this weekend. Oh well doesn't matter, still excited for it.
  24. After seeing that mini episode, I'm extremely excited for tomorrow. However I'm also upset the Paul McGann didn't get a regular series. He was great in the film despite the film being terrible.
  25. Even more so considering that the cartoon is 2D. While the characters are drawn in 3D there's still something 2 dimensional about them. So when they are converted to 3D they will always differ slightly.
