Marvel X-mansion, it's the sensible choice. They won't do Stark tower because Avengers was over a year ago. Plus they would most likely wait until Avengers 2 when it would become the Avengers tower. I also doubt LEGO would waste a large Exculsive set on Oscorp tower, as not much happens there in USM. Sure there's a big fight between Goblin and Spidey but apart from that its just planning. The X-mansion gives the opportunity for a lot of Exculsive figures without having to create new molds, very iconic like Arkham, also is just niche enough to be an Exculsive.

I have the old Nightwing, but I still think we need a new one. LEGO has much better hair options for him along with better printing, back printing and double sided faces. Plus it's only fair that he gets an Update when nearly ever other 2006 Batman Minifigure has.

Nightwing is one of DCs most important characters for a number of reasons, the first being that he has aged. He's one of the few characters who started as a child and now is about 24. He's been to college and moved on from being the original Robin. When he left Batman he went and hung around with Superman who told him the legend of Nightwing ( a Kryptonian vigilante ). Dick Grayson adopted the name and became a Superhero in his own right. With many fans seeing him age and develop from a secondary character to what is now considered a main character, is very appealing to fans. In fact today he only really visits Gotham, and travels America. He has also taken the Batman mantel from Bruce, and was the leader of the Teen Titans, the Outsiders and was a Justice League member for a while as well. He's very important to DC and many Fans. Personally he's my favourite Superhero, so I want to see him no matter what.

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Sam892 replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I was under the impression that Spectacular Spider-man was created by Sony, hence the reason why no characters outside Spidey ( Avengers, X-men and FF) could appear in it. -
Ye it's a red head. Personal I think it looks just right. The problem with the Game version of flash is that it looks like he's wearing a bucket on his head. This version really captures the roundness of the mask and the tight fitting form of it.

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Sam892 replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Not sure what show they cancelled for USM, but still Marvel in the past two years have put out more ASM stuff than USM stuff. Mainly because they can stick it next to all the MCU stuff and they all carry the same packaging. Plus you said that Marvel has spent money on the TV show, but your forgetting they had to pay millions of dollars for the Merchandise rights for ASM. So I'm sure they want to make money from both. -

I can't imagine why Disney would care about which Spider-man they use. As Disney own all the merch rights they wouldn't have to pay any money to SONY. Also the film would be a much better option, as more people are likely to see it. It's much easier to see the film (buy a ticket at the cinema, buy it on DVD in a few months or download it) where as the USM cartoon is much harder to watch. First of all the cartoon is only available through satellite and cable television companies, which requires a subscription. Also with this the cartoon has spilt people down the middle on whether they like it or not. Marvel will most likely want to go with what's popular and at the moment I would say its the film series. -
I don't mind another riddler as he was only in an exclusive set before. I'm glad they started to use a new bat symbol, while its yellow on the car it must be black on the torso. I hate the classic yellow ellipse with the bat in the middle. I also prefer batman to have a grey and black suit, so this set is perfect for me. I've always been a fan of that bat symbol, so happy it's made it's way back to LEGO.

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Sam892 replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
The set looks pretty good. I like the new Batmobile and obviously the Flash fig. I'm also guessing we have a new Batman Suit as it looks like a Black cowl with grey body armour. Probably similar in look to the 2006 variant that came in the Batboat, Batwing and Bat dragster. That Bat symbol is close to the Beware the Batman one, but it's also similar to the Arkham origins/city one and the current comic one. I got a bit excited as that symbol in Yellow usually is for Batgirl, but it looks like Batman on the inside. However it's using what looks like the old cowl, most likely as it primilary. -
Next CUUSOO set: 21103 Back to the Future™ Time Machine

If you have the palace cinema, you could use the black convertable as Bifs 1950s car. That would also look great next to this set. -

I can't see why anyone wouldn't purchase this set, great Minifigures, a good price to piece ratio ( UK at least), the car can easily be modded and 1% of all sales goes to charity. Not just any charity put the Michael J Fox Foundation who do amazing work. The only reasonable excuse I can accept is not being a BTTF fan. Apart from that this set has a very reasonable cause to purchase it. -

Think about the other characters we have gotten over the years. Look at some of the Star Wars characters, some of them must have been way harder to have been turned into minifigures. Watto,Sebulba, Salacious Crumb, Jabba, General Grevious, ect. A raccoon would be much easier to do than most of the Star Wars line. Also we have had no official word about there being no sequel. Apart from Ant-man no other phase three film has been confirmed. Your forgetting that Man of Steel didn't have a confirmed sequel and LEGO still produced sets around it. GotG also have a large fanbase. They have been around for 30years. Given there current state it makes more sense LEGO giving them sets. As kids may not be as familiar with them, Marvel will most likely make a big promotional push for them in both marketing and merchandise. Kids will be more attracted to the film if there is a bunch of toys and LEGO sets based on it. Plus if its anything like the Star Wars licence, Marvel will have the final say over what sets get made. -

Completely agree, so many models over the past few years don't get justice through the LEGO photos. I'm real life the model will most likely look great. -

Don't forget Lord of the Rings as well and Prince of Persia, however I'm not that fussed about the last one. I'm surprised there isn't more BTTF quotes being used around here, seems like the right time and place for them. -

I don't think so as its only a few weeks away from being released. They would most likely wait until next year for Days of Future Past. -

So am I right in thinking that this set comes out 18th July in the UK and 1st August in the US? If so how come we're getting it before America, not that I'm complaining or anything just curious. -
Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Sam892 replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I highly doubt we will see many Movie figures as apart from some of the Thor stuff, Marvel haven't shown anything from other movies. So far we only have concept art and photos taken by the public for Captain America, and we have nothing for GoG. Also we didn't see any pictures of Iron man or Man of Steel at any of the cons. The only movie figures we have every seen are the Dark Knight Rises (by at which time the movie had already been released) and the four Avengers (which LEGO had to do as Avengers made up most of the wave). Even with the Avengers figures we got no Villains. This is why I think that we will only get Cartoon and Comic figs shown. Also with ASM if we do get sets, I'm guessing that the Spider-man figure will not have any leg printing. I think the leg printing is just for the Convention fig. -

I doubt we will see a krypton set as MoS is over now in terms of merchandise. I also doubt we will see Alfred unless TLC randomly put him in a set as a hostage, I don't believe we will get a Wayne Manor set. Personally I think we will see the following: Nightwing Batgirl Flash Green lantern Sinestro Captain cold Ras al Ghul New Batman suit? Without the silly yellow and black symbol. It also wouldn't surprise me if TLC started to loosely base sets on video games. With Arkham origins and Injustice this year they seem like fresh ideas for sets. With Marvel I don't know, while we could get an update on the licence to include Fox, I wouldn't expect an announcement regarding ASM as they hopefully would have to change the contract to gain access to that. I also doubt that we will see anything based around the Marvel cinematic universe. Not because I don't think LEGO are not making stuff based on it but because the Marvel movie stuff is always shrouded in secrecy. So because of this I don't think we will see any Thor, Cap or GoG stuff. Maybe the Same could Apply to ASM as Rhino and the other villains haven't been shown yet. If anything There maybe one Figure from each film, Thor, Cap and Spidey all in their new suits. I'm guessing we will see some X-men stuff and maybe some FF stuff or some last USM stuff. -

I didn't actually buy them, they were given to me as a surprise present. However that was the prices they paid. I couldn't be bothered earlier as it was late at night,to type out the whole story so I just put that the cost of them. -

I managed to get both Black suit Spidey and Phoenix for $90 each. Which isn't too bad compared to some of the prices but, still way more than I would have liked to have spent. -
Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Sam892 replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
It affects the whole market in general. There's no way either of these figures are worth $100 let alone $1000. Plus people aren't willing to pay that much, but other people who get these exclusives and sell them think that's how much they are worth. They lower the price to around $100 and think that it's ok. Some idiot like that putting prices like that gives off an image that these figs are worth hundreds and they are not. It cost most less than a dollar to make those figures, and even with their rarity they are worth around $40. It's not ok for some moron to try and sell these things for that price, reguardless of whether a bigger idiot buys them for that price. -

Disney got the Merchandise rights back in 2011. So what's most likely happened is that for the past year and a half they ended the Megabloks contract, and started sending concept over to LEGO. I can't see them not having to increase the number of waves and sets. -

That Spider-man, is he based on the new movie? Looks very similar to the new suit and with Disney having the Spidey mech rights. Also when will LEGO learn that we need the whole Justice league accessible to us. So far Shazam, Green Arrow and technically Green lantern are all exclusive.
