You guys do realise that the Arkham games have taken inspiration from the Comics and TV shows. Robin is a Great example, the Hooded costume has appeared in comics long before Arkham City. While Mr Freeze looks similar, I'm sure there's no connection or little. LEGO most likely had a look at what current pieces they could use for the Helmet, saw the Atlantis headpiece and used that as it looked best. Until LEGO states that its inspired by the Games then there are not, just like the Chopper showdown isn't inspired by Wolverine Origins.

Next CUUSOO set: 21103 Back to the Future™ Time Machine
Sam892 replied to Blakstone's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'll have to find that and pledge my Support. So far I'm supporting all the Team BTTF projects. Docs Van and Biffs car look awesome so I can't wait to see what the truck looks like. -
I still think we're getting sets aswell. Plus I don't see why they wouldn't be released in the UK since all our Information on this theme comes from the UK. Plus all the prices so far have been in Pounds. Maybe it would be a delayed release like PoP, LR and Galaxy Squad.

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Sam892 replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
It was at a Marvel panel at some comic con, the writers of the current X-men comics said they believed sets were coming in October. -
Urban most likely was busy for a while, One of the Star Trek cast members ( forget who ). Said that Star Trek 3 will be shot next year. Plus Dredd is said to be having a sequel as it did really well on DVD. I still think its too quick too judge, they haven't even started shooting the film yet. We still don't know who the villain is, who's playing Alfred, Gordon or if theirs going to be other Bat family members involved. Sure Affleck has had a few shitty films, but I've never seen him as the cause of all of a films problems. Armageddon and Pearl Harbor aren't great films, but I think that's more down to Micheal Bay than anyone. Plus since both of those films Affleck has had much more experience in Acting. Daredevil was awful but again, not purely Afflecks fault. The whole cast was bad and the story wasn't great. If this film is terrible I doubt it will be down to Affleck. If anything it will be because of WB rushing towards a shared universe. I still think that Superman should have a normal sequel, and Batman should have another solo outing. Also Zack Snyder is great with action but not with story. Plus if WB want a fresh start why have Nolan produce and Goyer write, get rid of them both for a start. Also no Joker, reference him but he doesn't need to be in this film. Besides can Ben really be as bad as Kilmer, Clooney or West at being Batman? Also in regards to the other comment Historical accuracy doesn't determine whether a film is good or bad. Look at Inglorious Bastards.

My guess is the Living room, Kitchen and maybe Bart's and Homer/Marge's bedroom. Realistically I can't see a set that costs £70 including anymore. Although the garage would be awesom to have.

You know when Hugh Jackman was cast as Wolverine there was a large fan backlash. The same with Micheal Keaton as Batman, Christian Bale as Batman and evenHeath Ledger as Joker. All of those actors have done justice to the original characters. Also I find it hard to blame the failed of Daredevil on Affleck, everything in that movie was bad. Plus I wouldn't Base Afflects career on Daredevil, watch Argo and some of the films he's personally directed. He's a great actor and Director. Even if he's bad in this film it wouldn't hinder the chance of Justice League. They would easily just recast the role. If anything Justice League is more dependent on Wonderwoman, Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern and who ever they want as a seventh member (Cyborg, Green Arrow, Martian Manhunter). If DC can't get the majority of the JL represented in their own franchises then its doubtful that Justice League will happen.
-
How does this reduce that chance? Surely it's more likely now.

I'm sure that the LEGO team and the CUSSOO team are two seperate parts of LEGO. She keeps blaming this on LEGO but I think LEGO themselves had little to do with this. It's between her and CUSSOO, not her and LEGO. On top of that its extremely unlikely any of her projects would have been made. LEGO already addressed themes they own and like she said Kreo own JP. The other thing thAt bothers me in that video is she acts like they are all exclusively her idea. Many JP and batman projects existed before she came along, and she never created Batman or JP. CUSSOO already made clear the rules on IP that already exists. While its sad to see anyone turn away from LEGO I won't be bothered whatever she decides. It seems that LEGO will be better off without Dramaqueen and her followers harassing them. Plus BrickQueen seems like she would benefit from taking a break from LEGO, maybe give herself time to clear her head.
-
There's a lot of questionable LEGO you tubers. The Brick Show is another example of how not to run a channel. The Brickqueen banning blew up for Two reasons. The first is that she has a large following of kids who will react very badly to her being banned. The second is that she had a lot of projects in the top 12. She's been accused here a lot of plagiarising custom figures and such, but the whole banning thing sounds fishy. I'm guessing she's only telling half the story. If anything the way it's blown up will only remove the chance of her being unbanned.

I still don't think that the horrible events at Japan would justify never making a nuclear power plant set. LEGO didn't stop producing Planes, or Trains whenever there has been a terrible accident. While what happened in Japan is aweful it still doesn't mean that companies should shy away from nuclear power. Especially when applied to the context of The Simpsons where the plant is a very exaggerated and unrealistic parody.
-
Hey dude, just ignore those idiots and don't let them deter you from continuing to make awesome projects. Hopefully the team at CUUSSO will be able to put something in place to stop, those idiots from moving attention away from your projects. You just need to ignore the useless comments and focus on the ones that give you constructive feedback. On the subject of Brickqueen my opinion of her has gone done a lot. First the whole BTTF video, and her most recent one where she's moaning at CUUSSO. I find it hard to believe that the Staff banned her for no reason, there must be more to it.

I doubt the D2C set will contain the USM Goblin. Mainly because as I'm aware so far no D2C set has had a Exculsive character that Requires a new mold. Looking at The Death Star, Arkham, Ewok Village, Orthanc and other D2C sets, none of them have had new molds made Exclusively just for them. For this reason I think the USM Spidey figure will also be in just a normal set.

Well techically the $20 set is part of the power plant. In terms of Moes tavern, I could see why many people think it wouldn't be made. However I think it will be eventually, it may even be a Toys 'R' us Exculsive this year. LEGO has made Taverns in the past with The Hobbit and Pirates of the Caribbean. While these past taverns have been in historical settings I don't see why Moe's wouldn't be made at some point. After all it isn't like the Winchester which is realistic, Moe's is very cartoonish and about the characters over the content.

Congrats Clone. -
D2C means Exculsive to LEGO stores and the LEGO website. Two examples are Arkham Asylum and the Tower of Orthanc, usually D2C sets are large and over £100.

I can't wait for this theme. I just started playing The Simpsons tapped out today and its made me love The Simpsons again. everytime I place s building in the game I always think " that would look great in LEGO". One thing I am surprised about is that by the sounds of it the Simpsons house is just the Simpsons house. I know that sounds strange, but I was expecting a street like what LEGO did with Spongebob ( bikini bottom ). Also if there's a Eurobricks contest or community build when the theme launches, you can count me in!

I'm guessing these pics are prelims so it could simply be a Robin figure substituted in for Nightwing. Personal I would prefer Nightwing in his usual blue suit. While I love the new 52 run his costume reminds me too much of Joel Schumacher's Batman and Robin.

It's most likely a mushroom. On a desperate note I love the Village set and the Original but I'm not so keen on the Nether set. The Nether is the dullest part of Minecraft. I would love for lego to do a Minecraft studio like they have recently with the architecture series.

The Republic AV could be a Republic AV-7 artillery cannon. It's used frequently in the Clone Wars, but is very similar to the Clone vs Commando droids battle pack.

Next CUUSOO set: 21103 Back to the Future™ Time Machine
Sam892 replied to Blakstone's topic in LEGO Licensed
The real train is awesome, I saw it a few years ago. I know they have a fibre glass copy of the car, and sometimes wheel one of the real ones out .Theres only three of the film ones left now. They made six BTTF Deloreans during filming the trilogy. One was destroyed by a train (end of part 3), one is in a car museum, two are at Universal studios and two were left to rot in the dessert. It's a shame they got rid of the BTTF ride instead of revamping it like Disney did with star tours. -
I love those BTTF funnies Oky. The Libyan one is my favourite, and that Biff Minifigure looks great.

Do LEGO release the sales figures for sets? It would be interesting to see how many Deloreans have been sold. I'm assuming its a lot, even my non AFOL friends are getting them. Surely we will see more BTTF sets in the future? -
I remember a few weeks back that DC said it was unlikely that Arrow will be brought over to the DCU. Also neither a Flash film or Justice League film have been confirmed. Plus having one property that is of a certain genre does not reduce the possibility of another, unless there is something in the contract. The same convulsions could also be drawn between LEGO, Marvel and DC. LEGO already has DC to fill the Superhero void, why would they need Marvel. LEGO has had both Galaxy quest sets and Star Wars sets on sake at the same time. While not a Licenced property both are Sci Fi. Plus if the guy at TT games is correct (which he most likely is) we will be seeing GotG sets next year. I do not understand why people don't think we will see them.

Superman's and popularity has been decreasing rapidly since the 80's, plus despite what has been said regarding MoS there was no big DCU plans. This film has been in production for 3 years long before DC wanted to do a big universe, and they stated that they didn't know if they were going to make one. It's only after MoS that they decided they wanted to make a larger universe, and they still haven't made any plans as of yet. MoS could have been a massive flop and there was no certainty that kids would want toys based on it. Superman isn't a character that appeals to kids today as well. With GotG there's a lot that appeals to kids. Cool ships, aliens, space battles and much more. Plus we don't know how much it ties into the MCU. For all we know it could tie well into Thor, Avemgers and future projects. The characters also appeal to kids alot more, a talking raccoon that shots aliens and pilots ships can't not appeal to a 8 year old.
